Beautiful conservatory - the surroundings are unique and romantic. The tables appear to be shared by all the eateries which is cool. The staff at bestie are fantastic- so helpful and kind. The cafe is very clean and bright and the coffee is good, though not a classic Italian bitter, more sour. The only downside would be the prices - paying $19 for two poached eggs on sourdough with 1/2 an avocado is taking the piss a wee bit, especially when avos are in season.

Would recommend getting the chili fried eggs! Everything we ordered was delicious. The atmosphere is super pretty, however, the service was unfriendly. Coffee was very very good but sadly no latte art

If you're an early bird or just lucky, you'll be able to sit at the window and take in the amazing view over Myers Park. Food was good too. Nice touch with the jelly served with toastie.

Recommended to me so I thought I’d try it out. The place had a nice vibe with a great view and lots of foliage. Food was below average and underwhelming. They had eggs on toast on their menu but no scrambled eggs option (I asked) soI had the hot cakes which was so plain and unimpressionable; not enough butter and needed some bananas or whipped cream or something. Had that dry floury feel. McDonald’s hot cakes anyone? Mushrooms on toast was nice but small portion

Strong 4. Good quality coffee and breakfast options. Coffee was delicious. Selection of healthy juices and home made lemonades. They also have selection of pastries to choose from. Nice ambience and friendly staff. Good place to visit for breakfast with friends.

Delicious food. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the whole dish (eggs on sourdough) was very well seasoned. I added bacon because I wasn't sure how big the dish was but it would have been absolutely fine without.

Amazing coffee that alone would be 5 stars. Service was great. Sadly the hotcakes missed the mark bit on the under side and could taste flour. But great amount of maple sauce

What a spot! A true hidden gem of Auckland city. Best bacon and eggs I've ever had - those chilli butter fried eggs hopefully are a permanent fixture on their menu. My partner had the hotcakes stack which he confirmed were delightfully fluffy and loads of maple syrup provided. Also excellent eighthirty coffee. This combined with the beauty of St Kevin's Arcade and views over Myers Park. Plus they are dog friendly so our little spoodle pup could hang with us at our table. Super friendly and fast service too. Highly recommend Bestie Cafe.

Hands down the best Chai latte I've tried. And I don't say that lightly! Cozy place with open space to sit inside or having views to the tower. A chai and a black coffee (with refill) for 11nzd.

It was love at the first sight… The atmosphere is amazing, the place is gorgeous, the service is great and the food is amazing. We had the free range eggs that was delicious, and the pancakes that were the dye for. I highly recommend this place!

Loved the place, the staff is more than nice, all smiling and taking care of you. The food was excellent, the maple cookie was one of the best I ever had. Loved the vibe and great view over the park and skycity tower! Totally recommend this place.

On a wonderful misty Monday morning at Bestie you can find me enjoying a warm flat white to kick start the week off. Great cabinet food options, awesome eight thirty coffee. What a spot! Sterling Arnet Kakapo Business Sales

22NZD for coffee and toast with jelly and cheese seems bit too much. And it was said the most popular brekkie here. But otherwise staff are lovely and make you feel welcome, view is awesome and it’s nice to sit there on a sunny day.

Loved my breakfast here! Coffee was delicious and I had the muesli - it tasted as good as it looks! The coco whip was divine! Staff were so nice and the setting was really cute.

Very underwhelmed. Ordered the "meeh" pancakes. Asked to add fruit to it, but she said it's not possible...even though they have fruit on the menu for other items. Wife ordered the mushroom toast. Too salty and basic. My long black coffee was more like a short black... Which arrived AFTER my food and the coffee was warm. So obviously it was just sitting around waiting to be delivered to our table. The place has nice views but that's about it. Sorry, but would rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

Set in the middle of St Kevin's arcade it's such a great space to sit and enjoy a nice brunch all year round. The place always has a buzz at weekends and is often full by 10:30. All the staff are amazing folk and have a great energy. Menu is simple and tasty. They do possibly the best hotcakes in the cbd. The only little quibble I'd have is charging extra for pickles with the cheese toasties (when pickles are absolutely essential to that dish.) A regular favourite, weekends don't feel complete without a visit.

The coffee was quite cold and not the best taste as you can see the latte art in the photo. Compare to their reputation, I was disappointed on their coffee quality as I like eighthirty beans. The view from the table was good. Staff were not that friendly but all good.

Delicious breakfast spot and we were lucky to get a great view at the top table! We both enjoyed the cheese toastie with the chili egg and homemade pickles. The turmeric latte was the perfect flavor. Great ambiance and a winner all around.

An absolute gem of a find! Situated in a funky open air area, this breakfast nook was a highlight of my time in auckland. Superb, flavorful dishes, tasty coffee, and friendly staff. This spot had it all.

Visited Easter Sunday when most other establishments around K Rd were closed. Ordered eggs on toast and coffee. All pretty good; the 'Bestie' made bread was a bit crunchy (hard to cut) once toasted. Otherwise all was good. On my list for a return visit.

Nice cafe on K road. Good coffee and food on menu that you don’t often see in other cafes. There’s good cabinet food too. Tomatoes and cream cheese on toast was delicious.

Lovely hip cafe for all ages with a view of the Skytower. Cute decor adds to it. Yummy food especially the shoestring fries. Good coffee.

Beautiful cafe in one of the most iconic arcades in New Zealand. It is a lovely place to catch up with friends or relax in the morning while reading.

What an incredible late breakfast I had! It seriously, was the fried eggs for me. Fried in butter and green chilli's, it was a midly spicy combo that definitely woke up my taste buds and myself, energised for the day! The service was great, quick and efficient. Thank you everyone, from FOH, and the kitchen team, really appreciate the service 👍🏼💯 see you guys again soon 😁😁

Simply amazing! Had the chili butter fried eggs on sourdough with a side of avocado & my husband ordered the stack of pancakes with bacon. Everything was so tasty & flavorful! We also got the green smoothies which were also great. Definitely recommend this place!

Had a great experience at the Bestie Cafe! The side of mushrooms were the highlight of the dish with a satisfying blend of olive oil, butter, and spices! The eggs benedict and pancake portions were large enough to share. The coffee was good, and I appreciated the offer of alternative non dairy milk options. Conveniently located off Queen Street, Bestie Cafe is a great start to your Auckland adventures.

Cafe is at the end of an arcade, with a nice view of the cityscape. Quick food service (city priced) by courteous staff. Just enough to fill our hungry stomach. Would recommend for friends to try.

Wowsers! This place keeps getting better and better. This is my third visit over a few years and today’s blew my mind! Coffee was delicious and the food was out of this world. The chilli fried eggs, with halloumi bites we’re the best! Lovely hosts .
