What a let down. I was craving a good brunch and I was met with a lacklustre experience. The chai latte had no chai flavour, so sent it back immediately (thankfully with no issues). The chocolate at the bottom of the iced mocha was rock hard and the straw wasn’t doing anything to help move it around. Burger was average and for the price I expected some sauce/dip with the fries. The French toast looked pretty and tasted just ok. I would have preferred more fruit and less meringues / chocolate as they overpowered the toast. Extra bacon was a tad more expensive compared to other spots. Staff were lovely and I can’t fault the service. I will not be returning after this experience.

Amazing decor and lovely staff. I have a massive sweet tooth and their French toast was the perfect thing for it. 100% will go back for more. Their smoothies are so good too!

Crave is so much a favourite place of mine !!! I'm a toy collector and they have a vintage Toy shop with a fantastic range of gifts for any occasion. I decided food wise to go into the cabinet selection and sides. Heavenly!!! P. S coffee is exceptional. They have areas to have corporate business meetings. I myself have done deals over coffee and cake.

Finally reviewing after being a regular customer here for years! ++Filter Coffee ++ Perfect Eggs Benedict (every time) ++ Trendy and upbeat vibe ++ Cool decor ++ Quite possibly the best hash browns in Auckland (worth getting an extra one if you're hungry). What can I say, Crave is our favorite brunch spot in all of Auckland. The food is consistently excellent, presented well and tastes amazing!! Pretty much everything on the menu is a winner, with a wide variety of items from the cabinet to choose from as well. Staff are quick, cherry and attentive everytime, they all look like they genuinely enjoy their job (which seems to be a bit of a rarity in Auckland these days). If that's not enough, Crave return/invest all profits to the local community, so by eating there you are contributing to the greater good (go you!) Always packed on the weekends at peak times, so book ahead if you can. Crave also has some large spaces for brunch/lunch meetings.

Our second time back to this cafe. We ordered the same menu we did on our first visit which were avocado on toast and mushroom dish. They were both horrible and no way near what we had a week earlier. was soggy and taste was very blend . Told the wait staff he said that what it is as in the menu but we knew the different . Very disappointed how they treat customers . It was Matariki weekend so we paid 2 coffees and 2 toasties dish came up to $65 plus surcharge. The photos of the dish showing inconsistencies against their menu. Wont be back

Absolutely excellent experience, delicious food. And to top it all off, you can feel great about your choice dining here, supporting the local community. Highly recommend the winter greens bowl, the lemon, ginger, honey hot drink, and the cauliflower pancake!

The vibe is cozy, the staff are friendly, and the food and drinks? Simply irresistible. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with water bowls (and treats) for your dog. The food arrived within 10 minutes despite the place being very busy, and the food came out together! I have been to this place twice now and would give it 5 stars for each visit.

Coffee tastes so good. Food was below average. I ordered Full Crave then Sausage tasted like murdered twice get dried. And bacon, I am fan of soft bacon it was half burned and dry. Besides these, all good, staffs are very friendly and kind! I would love to come back for coffee thou.

Drove in and there was space to park in the street #winning. The service was fast and there was space to sit so I was grateful. Wife ordered the mushroom and I stapled the Eggs Benedict with an Oat Flat White. Pricing was pretty reasonable but the food... I can only comment on my order. It wasn't what I would classify as a successful re-working of the EB so I was a little disappointed. The sauce was not a hollandaise, eggs still had water in them so not poached properly and the additional splatterings of sauce on the plate did not add too much value to the taste. The salt and pepper shaker came in handy. So, the coffee was great, staff were fast and friendly, and the place looked good. Wife's comment was button mushrooms could've done with a mixing of shitake(?) or other rather than generic button variety. So will go back for coffee and cabinet but race to find the best EB just knocked off another competitor.

The atmosphere of the place had good vibes, and the space itself was nice. The food was decent, although it didn't exceed expectations. The staff were friendly and provided good service. However, one downside was that the noise level was a bit high, which may have affected the overall experience.

I love the ambience, I love the deco, I love the food and I love the coffee, I also love the idea behind why the owner started this cafe.💜 However I wouldn’t recommend the egg benny with salmon… the puree was quite sweet whereas the salmon was very salty, the two didn’t really go well in my opinion. Though the portion of the food seemed to be reduced in my most recent visit. I’d still visit again to support the owner and the community. Overall, great cafe and great experience.

Crave occupies a large square footage, and is decorated as if an industrial building and a hunting lodge had a baby. Lots of tables inside and out, and a very comforting vibe. However they are ridiculously overpriced. $21 for "French toast". It was one piece of TOASTED brioche and about 6 other elements. Why a tasteless meringue nest, a brandy snap, and a weird unflavoured gelatin cube need to be on French toast is beyond me. Had the dish tasted OK I could have overlooked the pointless frivolity on the plate. However a lightly toasted piece of bread covered in fruit sauce just doesn't cut it for me. The filter coffee I ordered tasted sour, as if had been sitting in a pot for some time. We were left to our own devices for quite awhile before I could flag someone to take our order, and the guy looked like he was physically pained to do so. Meanwhile servers are just chatting on the floor and looking at their phones. I will NOT be back.

Food was delicious. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Smokey aioli was great. Despite forgetting our drinks, it was easily remedied by one of the hosts, who was really nice and dealt with the situation professionally and kindly. Unique decor. Just a heads up that it's kinda tricky finding a parking spot if you want to dine in.

We've been fans of Crave since they were at across the street. Always worth travelling from far end of East Auckland. You've got to be lucky enough like us today to be able to park on the street just in front. Crave always meets your expectations. Today my husband tried Beef Cheek Naan. Beautifully slow cooked, most tender beef cheek, so yummy. A bit too much coriander spoilled the beef & other sauce flavour, tho. I had Chilli Chorizo Scrumble Egg. The presentation makes you go Wow!!! It looks so beautiful. Very generous amount of egg beautifully folded like drapes. So impressive! To make the shape, tho, the egg were over cooked and not runny & creamy scrumbled egg that I expected. I was a bit disappointed. Coffee was perfect as usual, the staff are nice. We would like to try the Banoffee next time we visit.

So PERFECT cafe , its totally wide and cozy. It was my best Banofee pie ever. Caramel was perfect nutty and not too sweet , best with coffee. I will be regular.

I had the French toast it was not good. That thing sitting on the top was so hard I didn’t bother to try to eat it. One piece of semi dry toast on the bottom. This was the first bad food experience on my vacation from the states! Nice presentation only. Looks mean nothing if it doesn’t taste good!!!!!!

Appreciate Crave exists, my world is better because of it. I do think though the tangy sauce in the bagels could be better though, small niggle, maybe I should politely speak to chef. Overall, food is good here. Sometime it's excellent.

I had ordered Chai Latte and the taste of that was average. It was watery and spicy. I didn’t like it at all.

I was excited to try here before coming here. Cause I heard this is one of famous cafe in Auckland. Even Jacinda Ardern likes to come here. But a bit disappointed of food. I had chicken medely and crave full. Chicken cooked properly and big portion and well seasoned but I wish there is more different flavor on chicken like not only salt and pepper. Crave full: flavor is generally okay. As you can see the photo of bacon, it looked like it didn't cook one side properly. And I'm surprised they don't give butter even though toast included. And it looked like Sourdough toast on the pan. But no flavor like (olive oil or butter) it was just chewy Sourdough. Maybe if I didn't expect too much , i might think it's okay place. Not that picky. Smoothie is delicious. Atmosphere and interior is great.

This spot is nice for a Sunday morning breakfast/brunch. The atmosphere is industrial/arty. The service is fast and polite. Food was nice and simple. It is a no fuss spot.

I love crave. From their commitment to community to delicious food, it’s hard to beat. They use a local Dunedin coffee roaster, and man is it good! Eggs Benedict will always be my favorite there.

@cafecrave so many seating areas in this sprawling cafe, it is sure to suit any mood. We sat under the canopy outside on a high table with hanging plants above our heads. A magical place. Great coffee presented so differently with character that is a good change from other standard cafes. Tasty food with a large range of cabinet options if you don’t have that much time or feel like something smaller too. Would go here a lot more often if only I lived closer

My favorite coffee shop. Love the way they treated their customers. I have been coming here regularly since 2018. The tables next to the sliding doors are designed like small old styled sewing machines. Love their small corner with toys collection.

Great tasty, yummy food and friendly, efficient service. Will happily be returning again. Had the mushroom medley and my partner had the chilli omlette.

I’ve been here for years, and upon my recent return from London, I found that their salmon eggs Benedict still uphold the best taste - I’m a big fan of the rosti for the base compared to sourdough/muffins. The portion is just right for one person and all the sauces compliments. Highly recommend Crave as a spot to fix your brunch needs!

I had big hopes for this cafe, because they put the profits back into the local community but was left a little flat by the experience. The atmosphere is great, very lively and the design features alone will keep your interest. However, the food, although perfectly edible, was a little uninspiring. Presentation on the plate is a little dull, and the food could be easily achieved at home and probably tastier. It just wasn't special, and nothing that would seperate them from other eateries. On the plus side the staff were attentive, but not overly, efficient and friendly.

Not our best experience for brunch yesterday. Food looks nice but doesn’t taste nice. Coffee: was good Avocado toast: for some reason avocado was sweet and creamy and the toast was hard and too crispy to cut into. Prawn ravioli: tasted like seafood sauce with bland flavour. Only thing tasted delicious other than the coffee was the side of grilled halloumi Please do a taste run of your menu. Would definitely not go again.

We had a trip in Auckland and had brunch here twice in a row. Lovely food and atmosphere. Will definitely come back. It was a bit hard to find a car park on the street but this wasn’t a big problem.
