It was an amazing experience 🤩🤩🤩🤩 Highly recommended. Super friendly and welcoming front office is the highlight of this hotel. We were welcomed by Ellen who had an impeccable manners and a charming smile. The front office staff were showing high standards of hospitality and was ready to help with any little things that you need. Rooms are of high standards and are maintained very well. We stayed in a double room with views of the amazing harbour bridge which lights up in the night and was stunning to watch. Only thing we had to ask was for drinking water and cutleries as there was not any in the bedroom. Breakfast was served to room upon request. Food was yummy. In total we had a really good time staying in the comfort of 4.5* Sudima Hotels.

Room quality aren’t good for what they charge and rest of the things not enough good. You will feel itching after getting the room service and have to recall them for cleaning the room and still they forget. Hard to talk with them and don’t listen specially Winnie etc and their behaviour to get more money from the customer pockets.

I had an pleasant stay at the Sudima. The location is a couple of blocks from Aotea centre and close to Sky City and a 10-15 min walk to the shops. Are there better located hotels? Definitely, but it's not too bad. Rooms are modern and clean albeit a little cramped. Service was polite and prompt but not particularly welcoming.

Very warm welcome. The first staff member that greeted me made me feel at ease after a stressful day. Any request was met with vip manners and care. The rooms are comfortable, modern and nice looking. Valet service is a massive perk, and was conducted beautifully. Thanks and great work Sudima Auckland City.

Wow...the most amazing experience. Reception & restaurant staff we dealt with were awesome...very friendly & helpful. When they found out it was my birthday on the day we stayed our room was upgraded & a lovely dessert with a happy birthday message in choc sauce was sent to our room. The service/ atmosphere was a solid 20❣️❣️❣️❣️

Friendly and helpful staff, we stayed in a lovely room over looking the harbour bridge which showed off its beautiful lights. We had a joining suit for our kids. Rooms are cosy. The breakfast was delightfully tasty (French Toast). Will definitely come back. Kudos all round! Thank you Sudima

Good location, easy to access all amenities in the city. Our room had no soap, and nothing was refilled with room service. The breakfast had undercooked scrambled eggs. Our coordinator had a nightmare dealing with the staff when making our booking. She was booking for over 25 people to stay during a conference, it is very disappointing, and we were all Aucklanders (how do you treatyour out of town guests). I would suggest looking around if you are booking a group . Sudima, pick up your game, there are plenty of other places to chose from in the city.

A very average hotel. I'm not sure where they pulled 4.5 stars from, but that feels about a star too high. The rooms are okay, but need a proper clean. Mine had long dark hair around all the edges and mud at the end of the bed. Also if you're up in the 9th, beware their rooftop bar gets loud and they don't have enough noise insulation, so might be best to ask to move rooms. Breakfast was decent, but thin on the continental side if that's what you like. WiFi required relogging in every 12 hours which seem unnecessary and became a pain after staying here for 7 nights. Staff were nice. They offer a free drink if you go green and don't ask for turnover service, which I really support.

We stayed for 4 nights, two in the U-Room and 2 in the regular room, The U-Room was awful. No carpet, view of the construction site nextdoor. The amenities included a yoga matt...for over one hundred dollars more? The regular room was great. The menu in the restaurant in the hotel was just not appealing to us. Lots of better places really close.

Great location, lovely rooms, service is good and the breakfast had a lot of options. Also, if you're staying more than one night you can put a "green" sign on your door, indicating that you don't need a tidy up and they give you a card for a free drink. All hotels should do this!

Staff were friendly and professional. Rooms were quite small, the beds were not so comfy. Not much options to choose from for the room service menu. Location was great, close to many food places.

I stayed at Sudima Christchurch in 2019 before the pandemic and it was excellent in terms of experience and value. Loved it. Unfortunately Sudima Auckland is mediocre at best. Rooms lack any character, and quite bare like a budget hotel. Front desk even forgot to tell me that I had to request for room cleaning service, so I came back to an unkept room, which was a rude surprise. Not returning.

Great location, and excellent friendly staff. The room was clean and modern if a little small. Valet Parking was $45 for the night. The big Breakfast was very disappointing hence the lower overall score. It was cold, the coffee awful, and came without bacon.

Excellent choice for a hotel stay in central Auckland. The room was not large, but it was very comfortable. I particularly liked the firmness of the mattress. The sunset bar was a nice place to unwind after a long day of traveling. Although I didn't eat at the restaurant "East" on street level, it smelled great. Stag was very pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again.

This hotel is fairly new, close to Auckland Viaduct area, and has a nice rooftop bar. Unfortunately, if your room is within 1-2 floors of the rooftop , you will hear furniture dragging across the floors from 10:00pm -12:00 midnight. The staff is extremely rude about it, as though you should understand they are closing the bar. The rooms are tiny! The breakfast is not that great. Omelettes are not part of breakfast buffet. Will definitely consider other hotel options on my next visit.

My first time visiting Auckland. Very walkable location to several tourist spots nearby. Staff is extremely helpful, kind, and provided excellent customer service. The bar on the roof has fantastic views and the food is really good too.

Centrally located in Aucklands CBD the Sudima Auckland Citys' provides easy access to the waterfront, shopping, workplaces and entertainment. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. The beds are comfortable. The standard rooms are very small with the bed located in the centre of the room leavin very little space remaining. Speaking of very little space, you are not provided with a cupboard to stow away your bags, clothes etc. 6 hooks and hangers are attached to the wall located beside an extremely thin fridge. Bathroom facilities are tidy and modern but yet again there is no space to place your toiletries. The in room TV only provides Freeview channels. This hotel does not have a gym but they do provide access to a gym 5 minutes away. I was unable to reduce the temperature in my room below 22 degrees which made my first night extremely uncomfortable. I mentioned this to the reception staff who provided a fan which helped reduce the temperature. They also provided me with a thinner and firmer pillow. Breakfast downstairs provides a wide variety of options. The price for a room was on the expensive end for its size but you're paying for the location. If you're wanting a hotel that has a good location and your plans keep you out of the hotel until it's time to sleep then the Sudima Auckland City will tick your boxes. If you're wanting a relaxing and enjoyable experience from your hotel I would shop around.

We had a group dinner at East restaurant in Sudima Hotel. It was absolutely fabulous. We had the set menu 😋 and there were no complaints from our group of 12 people. Lots of food enjoyed by everyone vegetarian and non vegetarian. Nut allergy looked after very respectfully as well. Will definitely be back. 10 out of 10.

Fantastic experience. Booked a night out for my wife's birthday and it was everything we hoped for an more. Lovely amenity in the room to celebrate the occasion which was appreciated and staff were great too. This hotel has a calmness about it even though its located in a busy city vicinity. Thanks very much

Kind and caring staff. The young girl at breakfast was adorable and so polite. Our room was serviced beautifully. Loved the central locality. Many thanks 😊. Will use again in Auckland

Great place - just across the street from a selection of food outlets. Practically next door to the Sky Tower. Service was great - foyer is well equipped with couches etc and you could order hot drinks or bar drinks (I think). I spent some time just enjoying that space. Rooms were well thought off with USB and power points ‘everywhere’ for all our devices. Wifi included (maybe thats normal now).

Horrible booking experince with this hotel. Saw advertisement for free cancellation and no pre payment required ON WEBSITE but then was charged a pre payment within 24 hours and told that cancellation would be half the price we were paying. Also when calling the hotel the staff memeber was extermely rude and did not want to help us at all so therefore hung up on us. Left very unsatisfied and will never book with this hotel again

Our stay here was amazing. We arrived around 9 am to drop off our luggage and go explore, and the staff worked hard to ensure our room would be ready around 12 pm. Not only was it ready, but they upgraded us and delivered our luggage to the room. The king bed overlooked the city and there were amenities including a face mask, lavender sleep ointment, drinking chocolate/tea and yoga mat. They had a pillow menu to pick out what kind of pillow you’d like and the bed was so comfortable. After arriving internationally, it was fantastic to be checked in early, take a shower and a nap and eat at the on-site restaurant before going back to bed. Everyone was so kind, we would recommend this hotel and will look into more Sudima hotels as well

Get the bare basics sorted. Milk in the fridge for coffee, wow not difficult. The in room menu should cater for more than just vegan and make sure the app actually works. The menu app mentions, speak to our team, how and about what? Not recommended for hotel stay at all in AKL.

The staff could not be better. Such wonderful helpful kind and above all genuine people. My only grumble is the absence of a printed copy of how to use and what services are offered media wise. Sadly you have to access the services to find out the services. It would be helpful if it was supplied in a written form.. P.s. I was never able to access the wifi. Aside from that one of the best hotels and restaurant I have come across.

  • 5/5 Patrick W. 6 months ago on Google
Room was nice and clean. Staff were friendly enough. Location is a bit out of the way. The restaurant in the lobby looks nice, but just be aware that it is all vegan.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sudima Auckland city hotel. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The beds in our room were very comfortable and we were very well looked after in east the restaurant and Sunset rooftop bar. Location was brilliant, would highly recommend Sudima Auckland city. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Auckland😃

Extremely disappointed with the service we received as had to change dates due to concert being postponed which was out of our hands. Paid in advance and didn’t even give us an option to change dates. Daylight robbery when they received a whole months notice and will still be able to book the room out. Emails were quite rude and not accommodating at all. Will definitely not stay here in future!!

  • 1/5 Jodie H. 4 months ago on Google
Not very helpful at all. Asked very nicely if could hold booking in credit or get a refund as concert we were coming up to see was postponed and refused to help at all and said no. They have basically stolen our money for a room they’ll be able to occupy.

Staff are decent, car valet also a good service. Breakfast average (go over the road to best ugly bagel. Roof top bar is a nice perk. The room didn’t impress me really. Felt basic. Missing the little touches. Great location

Great modern hotel with excellent immenities and exceptional staff. Worth also noting that during our stay the Sky City convention centre building opposite had a small fire and staff provided firefighters with coffee and water. That sealed the deal making Sudima my go-to location when staying in Auckland CBD.

Hotel lobby is so nice and welcoming. Especially just lounging near the fireplace. The restaurant food is so yum and the rooms and view is stunning.

Our stay there was lovely! The room was perfect, the bathroom was nice and comes stocked with all the necessities, the staff were so lovely and professional! The location of the hotel is very convenient and they even offer valet parking. We also had a platter of sweets waiting for us in the hotel room upon arrival!

Couple of very minor room designs would make it spot on.. bed comfy and nice shower for a frequent traveler are my priorities.. restaurant bar looked good but didn't get chance to try unfortunately but were busy which has to be a good sign..

Nice modern rooms with comfortable beds, great shower and bathroom. Fast WiFi access and you can Chromecast your content to the TV in the room from your phone or tablet. Excellent buffet breakfast with good variety. Central location in Auckland, everything within walking distance.

Great experience, booked for one night. But would be great for guest parking, didn’t know we couldn’t & ended up getting valet parking otherwise don’t know where else we could’ve parked? Then obviously we know you have to pay for valet which ended up being another $45.

Staff was amazing, went out of their way to accommodate us and help us to see the new year's fireworks with the best spot possible. From the 1st phone call to book, to the moment we checked out, they helped, smiled and delivered the best service possible. The rooms are cosy and clean and the cocktails are colorful and yummy. Nothing's over priced. Will definitely recommend this place.

Even though we have not stayed in the hotel after cancelled flights during the Auckland flood, the hotel did cancel our room for free, even when the free cancellation period was over. They have been very helpful and have great customer service, so if we ever can make your trip I will make sure to stay in this hotel!

Was totally embarrassed by the reception staff. Treated like I didnt belong. They saw us struggle with our luggage no offer for help. They refused to park my truck made me park across the road in a carpark that I had to pay extra for and had to walk across the road in the brutal rain we had travelled from hawkes bay and the roads where blocked so couldn't return home. No air flow in the rooms. Reception staff to busy sleeping on chairs and ignoring guests

Excellent location in Auckland, hotel is very modern and clean and service was first class. Breakfast wad very good, fresh bread, pastries, fruit etc.

  • 5/5 Craig D. 2 years ago on Google
From arrival we immediately felt welcomed, the staff were lovely and check in was a breeze. We had the U Room for one night and wow these rooms are amazing. The room was modern and stylish. With a modern TV and a Chromecast which was awesome to see. Having the bath in its own area in the bedroom area was really cool too. We don’t go to hotels often but we will definitely go here again and sooner rather than later.

Lovely friendly staff. Both restaurants though are vegan/vegetarian and the level 10 restaurant have very spicy food. We mentioned that we don't like that so the waitress suggested two dishes that 'weren't that hot'. Wrong!. The lamb dish was two small kebab type food that were spicy, (hot), tasteless and only 3" (8mm) long. Each one cost $11! We didn't know the size when we ordered them..... Housekeeping: ok but on our last day there they didn't replace all the milks, (3 of 6), face clothes, shower Cap or soap. Otherwise, the reception and valet staff were brilliant.

  • 4/5 Erika V. 1 year ago on Google
Location excellent but room too tight for our twin beds and bathroom doesn't have a fan or something to reduce the condensation from the water of our showers so the room felt wet/humed so when you have towels wet they're never dry by the next time used overall rest was ok

  • 5/5 Abi F. 2 years ago on Google
Very friendly staff - appreciated their local knowledge and kindness during our stay. The Suite we stayed in was impeccably clean, tidy and just beautiful. Would return!

  • 5/5 John de M. 9 months ago on Google
Amazing. Sinead, Ellen and Rash are the best. Super friendly, thoughtful, attentive, interested in us. Rash was really helpful with our luggage. Ellen helped us with great sightseeing advice. Then made us a great cup of tea while we relaxed in front of the fire in comfy chairs. Finally, Sinead and Ellen were really helpful in discussing markets to visit. Thank you. We will definitely be recommending the Auckland Sudima in to our fellow Aussies.
