Such a lovely store sells beautiful possum merino knitwear. Warm cosey and also classic styles suit for everyone. Super friendly service too. Love to support local business like great kiwi yarns.

Omgggg, such an awesome store. The staff is helpful and kind. They helped me to choose a nice jacket which l want to wear it every day. The product is really good quality. I never heard of the possum merino before. It is just amazing. Very light and warm. The important part is that it doesn't pill. Thank goodness. I hate my sweater pilling. And l compared prices in different stores. I can say this one is really good. Highly recommend!

I visited this shop recently. I saw great quality and beautiful chic design in the garments they have. It surprised me this innovative combination of merino, possum fur and mulberry silk with good results: a smooth, strong, warm and good looking fabric. Buying a garment is an investment, the prices are high but good quality and the most important things for me is: It’s local, New Zealand produced and made.

As a tourist, I had really enjoyable experiences at this store. It is a great New Zealand retailer selling 100% Kiwi products, which makes me feel that I'm not buying a souvenir, but the real NZ culture! I have bought several nice knitwear here and I'm so happy with every piece. Even after a whole year, the clothes still keep their original best condition. Yes, it's my favourite Kiwi store, highly recommend!

Very nice shop, with plenty of New Zealand wool. Mostly clothing and accessories, so look elsewhere if you want just yarn. The shop keepers were very nice, and attentive. Wish we had more space in our suitcases for more sweaters and cardigans!

What a delightful shopping experience! Ann, the owner, was ever so lovely. I was encouraged to try on multiple sweaters in a wide range of styles from the main store - loved many and yet still I wasn’t sure which one to choose. In a wisp of a minute I was invited to take walk over to their other storefront and found the perfect one! Came back the next day to purchase a few gifts for friends > gloves, a neck warmer, leg warmers & got a beanie hat to match my cozy sweater. I was curious to learn where & how the wool & animal hair comes from to create the fabulous cozy warm garments .. Ann was more than happy to share her knowledge and passion for the local craft. Thank You for a memorable experience. Mji 🇨🇦

I bought a possum/merino jumper which is super warm and comfortable. The staff were really lovely - I wasn't sure of sizing so I reached out via email and they promptly helped me with measurements to determine which size was best for me. I would highly recommend Great Kiwi Yarns because of the great service and quality of products.

Really disappointed that they stopped stocking Koru gloves. I tried a different pair and they feel horrible. Extremely scratchy and sweaty. Koru gloves were soft and warm. Definitely would not recommend any of these gloves for an individual who is on the spectrum. But the new worker there was lovely and friendly.

I had a disappointing experience due to the unwelcoming attitude from the owner. It's disheartening to see a place that relies on tourism have such an approach, as it may deter future visitors. Hoping for a more welcoming atmosphere in the future for the benefit of both locals and tourists.

I came across Great Kiwi Yarns while on vacation in Auckland in December 2018. Great shop with very good service and very good products. Unfortunately, due to travel restrictions, only the online order is available for me. What can I say ...... Thank you Great Kiwi Yarns Team. Very fast delivery, within 7 days from Auckland to Düsseldorf, Germany, and still very good quality. In addition, a handwritten greeting in the package. I think it's fantastic! Great service, keep it up.

Visited this store for the first time and was really impressed by the range of beautiful merino and possum-merino knitwear made in New Zealand. Anne has been very helpful going extra mile to make sure I find the right product. I was so happy they could arrange free delivery straight to USA, super easy and fast. I had a great experience so definitely recommend!

The boutique is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. I bought a sweater in merino wool. It definitely worth the cost. The quality of the knitwear is incredible, elegant, light and warm at the same time. My wife took a possum merino poncho and beanie in this amazing shop. This is the best Queen Street store with a vast range of clothes to recommend to friends, family and tourists. Possum merino clothing is the jewel of New Zealand.

If you're looking for a one-stop shop for all your merino/possum/cashmere needs, this is it! Anne is absolutely wonderful and the shop has a nice selection of clothing for the whole family.

Cosy and relaxed environment. One side is opened only by request which I think is a clever idea. Will be good to share pictures of the process starting from material harvesting to the end product, placed in an album/ display book inside the store including address of the workshop where kiwi workers produce and assemble the products. In that way, one can genuinely stand out from the crowd which just place a brand and concept just to follow the sustainability and authenticity band wagon.

Walked in aimlessly, the lady running the store was lovely, as was the store itself and selection. Ended up buying a merino/possum blend. Thank you for your help, I'll definitely be coming back.

Such a lovely shopping experience, the clothing, looks great and is soft and luxurious. You are really buying quality. It also makes a huge difference when the owner of the store is looking after you. She had extensive product knowledge and a trendy sense of fashion. I will definitely be going back and they have an online store which will be perfect for sending gifts overseas.

I went in looking for a special gift, but left with more. I had very particular questions and was directed to the owner, Anne, who provided knowledgeable insight. She had a keen eye for my tastes and preferences, giving helpful suggestions without being pushy. Consummate customer service with the product to match – an altogether enjoyable shopping experience. As another mentioned, the price reflects the quality of the service, product, and sourcing. I left feeling that I got my money's worth, and I would happily return. Thank you, Anne!
