🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 One of the most cherished, and oldest, Chinese emporiums in Auckland. Major merchants for many decades. The Wah Lee family are a leading merchant family in this city and renowned for their dedicated commitment to customers. This is a must visit place. Old style with a unique Chinese Auckland character. Wah Lee has to be experienced. This is a truly wonderful place that I've been visiting for 50 years. The best rice paper blinds and lampshades in the country. This is the place to go for bulk rice and grains. If you've never been here; please go and spend an hour there. You'll be a convert to this revered family's commitment to Auckland. You will be welcomed by the Wah Lee family and friends. Totally wonderful!

This is a living history of Chinese grocery stores. I went there ages ago. Now they have all sorts of other stuff rather than just Chinese food or utensils. They are now stockist for some local artisan products. I like to browse their random stuff - there will always be a wonderful surprise. I found a few artefacts from my childhood memories. One of the shop staff is a European gentleman who is very kind.

The staff at Wah Lees have always been incredibly nice to deal with, very happy with my Lucky Cat that was purchased late last year and delivered all of the good vibes. Great selection of food and products too. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales

I was looking for chili threads to garnish noodle dishes and candlenuts for curry paste. The lady was kind enough to divide a large pack of the threads in half for me. Large variety of Asian serving and cooking ware. They also carry Yerba mate and Latin specialties! Well worth a visit just to take a peek at all the interesting items.

A great eclectic store that also is an icon. Sell plenty of unique and unusual items. Staff members are friendly, accommodating, patient and very helpful. They went above and beyond to help you. Car parking can be challenging. I believe that this is the only shop featured in the Auckland Memorial Museum exhibition.

Yerba Mate. There's a big sign in the window and a good selection on the shelves. Chinese New Year (Dragon) on 10 Feb 2024. Start here first for something unique.

Easy to order online from the South Island, really quick delivery, goods exactly as described, thank you so much for making CNY 2024 accessible in the cultural void of my tiny town! 🙏

After decades of driving past we finally got to go inside! We were looking for a giant fan (for one of our science shows) and it was so beneficial to see the items in person rather than 'guessing' online. To top off the whole magical experience they even gifted us a calendar!

Probably one of the oldest surviving businesses in Auckland, used to go here 40+ years ago. Must go more often

I ordered a beautiful wallet online a couple of days ago and prepared myself to head into town to pick it up. Then yesterday, a lovely woman hand delivered it to our house. Thank you Wah Lee for going the extra distance literally and bringing your lovely wares to us directly!

Amazing! It's like a Chinese emporium of all kinds of stuff. From crockery to woks, kitchen gadgets, ornaments and even seeds. I need to go back to see the rest, that I missed.

😠 How irresponsible does a company have to be- when they knowingly wind up the Social and financial pressure on families, by starting to promote Christmas more than TWO MONTHS out. Litterally the 20th of OCTOBER. All for what? more money. And in what spirit of what religion, thinks it's ok to have a d...

😠 I was a fan of this store living in city because of the useful products, but I will not like to go there anymore. The staff should be trained and learn how to deal with customers in proper language and manner. I felt so uncomfortable here. Sorry, but the lady should learn what is her job doing there...

😠 I love tea but hate shopping in store here. The workers don't respect your personal space. I have autism and will say I want to be left alone but they hover and continue to bother me. The store is overwhelming as is and it's only worse with overly heedful staff. I wish T2 were more accommodating.
