A very convenient and relaxing place for the neighborhood. Reasonable walking distance, pet friendly. A small playground for kids. Nice place to walk the dogs.

My son absolutely loves feeding the ducks and chickens here, and so did my daughter when she was younger.

Love this little spot for a picnic on a hot day! Kell Park has everything you need and more: plenty of shade, public toilets, ample parking and pushchair/wheelchair accessible pathways. Dogs are allowed off leash year round (although mind the free range chickens!) Albany library is just alongside so perfect to grab a book and read in the shade. There is a small playground (suitable for younger children) in the main park - or follow the pathway in either direction for a short bush walk to the big slide and flying fox (flying fox was out of order when we visited Jan 2024). For older children there isn’t a lot to do here - though the flying fox if working would be a good draw. We visit this park fairly frequently and it is never busy.

A beautiful leisure park with walking tracks and different types of wild animals dwelling, you get to enjoy the facilities like chairs, playground, slides, mini flying fox etc, a good place to spend time with children. There is a library just across the playground giving people other activity options like reading or internet surfing (free wifi available).

A nice large sized park with a decent sized kids play area and long walks in the nearby bush. The access is via nearby main road. Ample car parking is available nearby and can be busy in the weekends. The bush walks are well maintained and are quite popular amongst locals. A small creek in the vicinity makes this a scenic area. Good for a couple of hours outing.

Love this local park. Would be nice if the rubbish could be picked up in and around the water as this is where the wildlife breed. Even dead trees could be removed. It was great to see baby Pukekos getting fed in the shallows.

A true hidden gem that is too easy to drive past. Maybe not the biggest park, but it does make up for it with the walkways which should be easy for the majority of people. I would have given 5 stars, but it seriously needs the playground updated. It is too dated and lacking.

Nice little area to sit and have a picnic and for kids to play. Behind some shops so off the main road so quiet.

This is such a lovely reserve with a really cool walk path down to the river. And a hidden slide that sits in the reserve.

Beautiful scenery, I imagine the walk is good though to be honest I just took my daughter to the playground and then had a look at the treestump house and chair. Cool and good use of the environment, plus the view is superb.

Such a hidden gem in Albany. It's always a treat for me and my pup to visit when we're in the area. There's a nice board walk, bridge, river/stream where ducks and geese seem to hang around, and an open field to play with.

All around great family park with paved bush walks, open fields, playgrounds, streams, and baby waterfalls. Made for a good hour or two.

A hidden gem in the Albany area next to the library. Small playground, small stream, short walkway, wooden tables and chairs. Cafe closeby.

Lovely park, great for windy days as there is tree protection. Great place to play at after library visit.

Visited for the first time in years today - used to come here each Christmas with my family for lunch on Christmas day. The new playground and little adventure walk was a lovely surprise. I partially loved the slide, for a small adult like myself it was super fast! One of my friends had to catch me at the bottom incase I went sliding down the dirt bank haha

Great park for all ages! Playground and flat field up top by the library, then some paths down through the bush/wood that leads to a huge slide, flying fox and little jetty where the ducks and pukeko hang out. Couple of bridges across the water too. The path is boarded so it's pram friendly or if you need solid flat ground underfoot.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ First time here. Great place to take the dog for a walk or just to chill. This time of year you are better to stay on the metal paths that the volunteers keep maintained otherwise you end up face down in the mud like I did. I’ll be back with my grandkidsπŸ˜‚

πŸ‘πŸ‘ What a whimsical experience! I got quite excited finding all the different fairy houses, and can only imagine how kids would react! The park/reserve is a bit hidden. There is very little parking. There is a lot of construction in the area. It's a bit hard to find, but definitely do make the effort!...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ A great park, HAS IT ALL. BBQ area, drinking fountains, rubbish bins, toilets, basketball court, skate / scooter ramp, swings, slides, seating, shade, plenty of parking and a field. There is also city views and a field to kick a ball. Very well maintained, peaceful and fun!!
