I got the Fat Puku burger and it really tastes like a amped up version of a cheeseburger. I loved that the meat was really crispy on the edges but yet still so juicy. The Frost Fries had a super interesting sweet and slightly salty taste. The service was good and the menu was explained well, the staff definitely care about the food! Also the prices weren’t bad for a more boutique burger place. We went for lunch but I can imagine the vibes being great at night.

Great little gem!!! Wicked set up with spacious seating. Fantastic service from start to finish. Frosted chips were unusual, but the loaded fries were delicious!!! Burgers are well priced and tasty flavours, that leaves you both satisfied yet wanting more! Parking nearby in the Wilson carparks.

A must do in Auckland. We travelled from Wellington, which has a strong burger scene. But this place slaps. Make the effort to dine in as the decor, music and hospitality is just the best. Old school hip hop and honestly, the best burger I have ever eaten. We went for the Fat Puku and the Bernie Mac. Just perfect, and really refreshing to actually be able to taste the patty which was crispy round the edges. Sides were epic, the sweet and salty fries are so wrong yet so right. Great selection of craft beers and RTDs to help wash it down and the happy hour cocktail was too good. We'll be back.

Best Smash Burger Of My 2023 NZ Trip! The burger was absolutely delicious made with great quality ingredients and full of flavor! Their smash patties are the real deal! Great thin crispy smash skirting and juicy centre! A straight up fantastic burger that I would 100% eat again and again! I also loved the awesome decor with a super chill vibe and 10/10 quick efficient service! 🙌 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ✌️

It was the first place I went when I visited Auckland last week - I heard such amazing reviews and it didn’t disappoint me! Loved the burger, fries and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I would definitely visit it again on my next trip to NZ! 10/10

I am staying across the street in a hotel for work and decided to order for pickup after an extremely long day. I was feeling sick and rundown- and these guys really helped bring some positivity back into my day. They filled the order quickly, called to tell me it was ready and went above and beyond with my order. They were so kind when I came to pick it up - It really made my day! They even left a nice message on the bag and included something extra for me. The burger was amazing. Just the right amount of messy and manageable. The fries are thin and delicious. It’s also affordable! 11/10 stars!

Went to this burger place which was a short walking from the hotel. Tried the Notorious veggie burger and loved it. Great flavor and fast done. Eat it in 5’ ! The place is great, awesome atmosphere, great staff and very clean. Next time I’ll try something spicy for a change.

I would like consider myself to be a burger connoisseur that has tried hundreds of burgers across NZ and Fat Puku would rate in the top 3 burgers I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. The potato buns are super soft and the smashed beef Pattie’s are something else, I’m a big fan of the Chuck Norris burger. You have got to try this place, I will be back soon. FANTASTIC burger place. Very very close to the Cordis and the City Rd hill wasn't even that bad. Excellent, fresh, tasty smashed burgers and super friendly service. Aiden was extremely helpful even so close to closing time. We enjoyed all the burgers a lot and loved the awesome milkshake. We'll be back for sure!

Great place to sit down and relax with some friends or even just by yourself. One of the best burgers in Auckland hands down. Real smash burger taste with that signature crispiness to the patties. Staff are friendly and has a great atmosphere. Need to go again to try their other burgers and sides.

This is a fun place to simply grab a burger, no need to wade through a huge menu- even that is simple. We went on a Friday night and there was live music. Staff are super friendly and prices are very affordable.

Such a good place to grab a bite to eat, not only is the decor vibey, it has a great feel to it, really fits the place well. We ordered the below: Bernie Mac - 4.5/5 ⭐ It was really good, however the sauce was a little sour for my liking (just a personal preference) the patty was crispy and well seasoned. Wow, these guys nailed the burger experience. I got a fantastic chocolate shake made with ice cream. I went for the Mac burger and it was sendational, sauce was amazing big Mac styles, fresh pickels and that meat pattie....oh my God, so good and bonus, the crispy edges of the meat gave such extra delite. Will be back to try some more soon.

I walked into your neighbours (lone star) was there for 2mins b4 we walked out Becoz not once were we greeted by staff & we felt like we weren’t even welcome so we walked out there was a son & father there so wasn’t packed. Anway we walked into fat puku welcomed instantly by a lovely guy wish I got his name, we were seated & given menus, lovely atmosphere, staff smiling & look happy.. As we were seated we looked up and the son & father had come from lone star too lol Now the food I’m a chef & I’ve created menus especially burgers b4 but yeah I’m not shy to admit that my burgers will never be this good flavours were great an that fresh burger bun I don’t think I’ve ever had a burger bun so fresh & soft 😂 the loaded fries with the mince an special sauce yummmm & the milk shakes simple yet soo good never mind all the extra fancy stuff I miss places like this will bring kids next time. The place owns a really nice and cool vibe, tap beer is available and the hazy ipa was heavenly. The potato bun and crispiness of the patty were a delight, unfortunately the food was a little too salty for me.

RIGHT to my Top 3 burger spots in Auckland and I've been making it my mission over the past 5 years to try as many as possible to know. Delicious and _actually_ smashed burgers (not just smooshed) with more than one mouth watering one to try... I wish my stomach was bigger so I could have had all of them today! And very much to my surprise, the shoestring Frosted Fries are perfect - just try them bc they're not over powdered. The atmosphere is very fun too; lots to look at or even play because there's an actual N64 with Mario Kart setup and ready to go. But, I think what made this first visit stand apart was the co-owner coming over to the table and being willing to walk me through their menu and make suggestions then check up on all the tables later. You can't go wrong. PS: yes, there's beer too.

Absolutely delicious burgers! Had the Chris Tucker, the smashed patty and BBQ sauce were top notch. The venue itself was nice which made a pleasant dine-in experience. My only critique was that it was a bit pricey for the portion size and the fries with the sweet and savory seasoning was a touch too sweet for my liking. Overall, it was good but I wouldn’t recommend if you were starving.

Best American style smashed burgers in Auckland. The flavours get a bit mixed up in the burger, which is overall a bit greesy, but that's part of it;) Fries with the frost seasoning are a must! The restaurant has a cool vibe.

She's a good little hidden gem. Good classic smashed patties. I rather appreciate the small menu - makes it easier to choose. Yet to try the sweet and salty fries... Maybe next time.

Went here for dinner tonight. Nice and close to our accomodation. Right next door. Was epic. Great friendly service and awesome burgers. Would highly recommend.
