Great coffee as always but the food not as much, food was served in cold plate, mushroom add on were too salty. you cant really taste hollandaise, presentation was just awful. I dont understand how the chefs are working in a open kitchen and they are on their phone while handling fresh goods, are their phone sanitized? im giving 3stars just for the coffee.

The big breakfast was good ! Coffee wasn’t bad at all. The only issue was long waits for service, took more than 15 mins to take our orders. Just understaffed potentially? If you don’t mind the wait and not in a rush, then I would still recommend coming here, really enjoyed the open space/concept.

A great place for Coffee and breakfast/brunch. It was busy when we arrived and had to put our names on a waiting list. Waited about 10 mins before being seated. Simple menu, but the food was delicious. Came out fast and the coffee was full of flavour. Dog friendly. Parking can be challenging at times

The staff and service was very beautiful. Our waitress was very helpful. A beautiful atmosphere. Very lively. The food wasn't great. I ordered sourdough salmon with some scrambled eggs. The eggs were still a bit runny so I had to sent it back to cook a bit longer. The salmon had a strong vinegar taste and was salty and couldn't finish it. The servings are also very small and we left feeling hungry.

It was a solid 3 for average for me. Had the big breakfast. Bacon was so salty I left most of it on the plate. And I am a big bacon lover. Also the big breakfast seemed more like just... breakfast. Nothing really big about it. What stood out was the mushroom in picked chili. Nice zest and spice to balance out everything else. Cold brew was also quite good. It all balances out to 3/5.

The best part was the tap water. Coffee order was wrong - their seemed to be an issue with ordering an alternative milk. Apparently this was too difficult for the barista so the waitress and I agreed on a black coffee with the alternative milk on the side. When the coffee arrived, it was wrong and not what I ordered at all. The food - the egg white was raw (the EGG WHITE was see-through and still runny). This means the egg was cooked correctly. I understand that the yolk can be runny and still be cooked, but I am specifically reffering to the egg white. The eggs were cold and absolutely rancid. Also, absolutely swimming in hollandaise. The equivalent to about 5 tablespoons worth. Was this to drown the fact the eggs were undercooked perhaps. The service - nobody asked how anything was. The waitress got extremely defensive when I mentioned the eggs were undercooked claiming it is meant to be runny - no hun, egg whites are meant to be FORMED. not see-through. She took the coffee off the bill - wow, this really settled things and made it okay. NOT. This place is literally a Cafe serving breakfast and lunch. If I were the owner I'd be concerned they cannot get a coffee or an egg right.

Good coffee. Keen to try out the variety of coffee offered. Keen to try more cabinet desserts and pastry. The meals are quality over quantity so a bit pricey for the amount offered but tasty.

Lovely spot for breakfast in Grey Lynn. Nice industrial vibes, great food and delicious coffee. The service is a bit slow but it’s worth the wait! (We got compensated with a couple of free coffees for the inconvenience of waiting)

With the high ratings, I had to try for myself. The place was packed and service was reasonable although there's a short wait. The dishes took a while to come. The food is on the salty side, the sourdough bread is too tough and bacon is too little and on salty side. The overall combination is not balance. If you're coming for the food, you might get disappointed as I find its only average. I've had better in many other cafes. I wouldn't be returning anytime soon.

Food was good, above average I'd say terms of quality but very expensive Coffee was nice, maybe next time we will buy some beans and try the pastries~ Great interior and vibes, as expected from Grey Lynn!

Liked the layout and busyness of the place, especially loved the locally sourced ingredients and the menu which displays them. The brunch itself was…more stylized for the eastern palate shall we say. We ordered a standard latte and I tried their cold brew with a splash of oat milk essence-latte we’ve had better, cold brew tasted like a refreshing tonic reminiscent of orange juice which was interesting. Both beans were on the sour side which isn’t my cup of coffee. We ordered big breakfast and mushroom Raghu with sourdough crumpet. Both dishes came with a sour element whether on the side or mixed in. Got a bit much towards the end and for the first time not a clean plate for me. Fried Brussels sprouts were yum though!

The salmon sourdough crumpet was delicious. Very fresh and interesting flavors. Good coffee as well. Friendly staff. No kids menu but you can put together something from the a la carte menu like scrambled eggs and toast etc.

Just went for a coffee on a Saturday morning. The only reason for 4 stats is I didn't try their food and so can't make any recommendations. They seem super-popular, always busy. Nice staff and venue

Bhav our waiter had an AMAZING memory, and was very pleasant. Food was great, on time, it's a good child/dog friendly place, staff were smiley, my first cold brewed coffee with hazelnut infused milk was to die for and we would certainly return

Coffee was good, but their large cup size is more like small to medium. Would suggest booking in advance if you go during the weekend when it's sunny, as it's often packed. Have not tried the food yet.

Lovely, airy space. Food and coffee were excellent, as was the service! Cafe is pet and child friendly.

Absolutely fantastic experience right from the moment we walked in. Very attentive, knowledgeable and fast service. Impeccably gorgeous ambience with open kitchen. Stunning food and coffee. Very generous portions and everything tasted divine. The mushrooms, the chips and the incredible banana dip, fried chicken with pickles and smoked salmon. Top notch stuff guys, thanks heaps.

Not much of a coffee drinker but I’ve always had good experiences with Ozone. I think it’s the atmosphere and overall vibe which makes Ozone such a standout place to grab a coffee and sit down and just enjoy on your weekend morning. There’s so much natural light that gets into the cafe, and from what I’ve seen the cafe is dog-friendly which is a bonus if you love dogs. From what I’ve had coffee and food is not bad either.

There was a small bit of confusion with the booking which was resolved. The coffee was good and the food was better - the only letdown was some of it was a bit burnt; in fairness we were a large group. The service on the whole was good — staff we're friendly and attentive.

Food and coffee is just as good as I remember from when I went to Ozone in London a few years ago! I was surprised to find it here in Auckland too, service was super lovely and quick. Got a bag of coffee beans ground for French press too. The lunch options aren’t available atm due to hospitality shortages so had the omelette and venison mince focaccia, would definitely recommend and can’t wait to try the lunch menu once it’s back up and running ☺️

Nothing to complain about taste of the food. Little pricy and coffee was not even warm. I never finish Big brekkie in NZ any Cafe. But after i had it here i was still hungry.

😐 Lovely atmosphere and great location for bottomless frose! We had a good time however left hungry… we are disappointed with the amount of food you get especially because in the past it was only $50 for bottomless froze AND a foot long pizza per person.
