My 25 year old engagement ring band recently snapped and so I took the ring to Wayne at Mt Eden Jewellers to be repaired. I had been thinking about having my ring redesigned and decided to use this opportunity to talk to Wayne about what my options would be. He had some great ideas and we seemed to be on the same page so I decided to go ahead with the redesign. The end result is a stunning piece of jewellery which I love even more than my original ring. It is a huge leap of faith when you hand over your precious piece of jewellery to be redesigned but Wayne absolutely nailed it. I would highly recommend him.

I've visited the shop last year to ask about having my grandmothers heirloom ring looked at and cleaned. Wayne has polished the ring free of charge and given me estimate prices for and engagement rings. Few months later I've decided to get engagement ring made. Wayne has been there since the beginning and has made every stage a joyful process. His knowledge is what made every decision a breeze and in the end produced a really wonderful piece. Luckily he had two perfect sapphires left in his shop and he was able to find the best diamond to go along with them to fulfil the design idea which my partner was hinting of. In the end the ring turned out absolutely stunning and Wayne even offered to resize it to fit perfectly and that's after the knee bending :) Thank you Wayne for the wonderful experience! Honestly, I couldn't recommend highly enough!! I went to Mount Eden Jewellers to begin the process of making an engagement ring for my partner. Wayne took the time to show me pieces he had made in the past and even sketched potential ideas. When I had settled on a design he arranged for multiple stones to be sent to the shop for me to look at. Wayne explained the difference between multiple stones, what to look for in each stone and what makes some more desirable than others. I went from not knowing anything about sapphires and diamonds to being confident enough to hand pick stones for my now fiancee. The complete ring was finished well within the deadline I asked for, Waynes craftsmanship is second to none, the ring looks absolutely stunning. My Fiance purchased my engagement ring from Wayne at Mt Eden Jewellers. When we took it in to be resized, Wayne did this while we were waiting! Got my mum's engagement ring repaired and resized, we had her wedding ring resized well. Wayne was amazingly helpful and fast to get the saffires shipped in for mum to choose from. They were beautiful, and it is clear as day how much care Wayne puts into his work. The ring is as good new. So happy with the service 😊

A very late but well deserved review. My engagement ring snapped in between the small diamonds last summer, not an easy fix. Wayne did an amazing job repairing it, you wouldn’t know it happened even upon close inspection. He was so nice to me and my partner and cleaned my rings while we went and had coffee. It’s not the most valuable piece of jewellery but to me it means the whole world and he picked up on that and treated it as such. Thanks Wayne!

Wayne was recommended to us by a friend after a very bad experience with our previous jeweller. He spent 1.5 hours with us hearing our idea for the engagement ring and giving us great advice throughout, drawing up a sketch in front of us of what we were discussing. We went in for our next visit to look over the available diamonds and he explained in detail the quality and pros/cons of each one. Once we had decided on the diamonds it was left to Wayne to create the ring, he set out a clear timeline with us of when it would be completed by which he stuck to and updated us throughout. The result was perfect, exactly what we had envisioned. Wayne is an expert not only in jewellery but in collaborating/guiding his clients. Will definitely be going back to him for any future work.

Resized my engagement ring bought from the UK. Excellent service from beginning to end. Honest appraisal of my diamond ring. When I first entered he identified quickly the minor repair needed and resizing. If you want to use his service, then I cannot recommend enough. Honest, reliable and accurate. I went based on reviews and was definitely not disappointed. If you want to get your finger sized for free, to buy a ring online or abroad, don't bother or at least offer to pay for his expertise. Do not leave a bad review because an experienced craftsman won't give his services for free (would you?)
