I have been here twice in the last 2 months with my baby who is 7 months old. The first time I waited 5 hours to be seen by a doctor here. I sat and watched as people who came after me were then seen before my child. They were not emergency patients as one lady had a rash and the other was coughing. Both people were white. I have just come home with my daughter after waiting hours again to be seen by a doctor. I watched as a couple with their baby who arrived just as I was parking my car, spoke to receptionist and was seen in 45 minutes by the doctor. I looked around the room and there were 4 babies waiting to be seen I turned to a Samoan couple next to me and asked how long they had been waiting. She said 3 hours. 3 bloody hours!!!! Again the couple that was seen before them was white. This place is the most racist doctors I have been too.. also making babies wait hours on hours to be seen. Never again will I go to this place and I plan on complaining and taking this further. Disappointing! Do better White Cross

DOES NOT DERSEVE ANY STARS AT ALL! WORSE EVER MEDICAL PLACE! Took my daughter who was very sick and I gave the receptionist my contact number as it was under my partners number our daughters details. Waited in the car for hours just for them to call my partners phone who wasn’t with us at the time and not my contact number that I gave (4 hours waiting). So myself and my daughter had to wait again and 4 other patients who came after us were seen by the doctor (this is 5 hours waiting for the doctors now). I asked the receptionist how long and she kept implying “soon”. It took almost 6 hours even though I was told when we arrived it will take at least 4 hours to see a doctor. This hasn’t been the only worse experience I’ve had here, I’ve had to many and so as other families and friends who have been here. When are things going to change? This is an on going issue and this should be addressed with upper management and those in charged. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED! Something needs to change! It shouldn’t take hours to see a doctor especially in a place where we have the resources. DO BETTER!

Terrible customer service at Henderson White Cross (reception). My partner had experienced a dog bite, saw the nurse and was told to wait for the doctor. Spent 4 hours waiting for a doctor, received a call advising he was to be seen next. Spent another hour and a half in the reception area waiting to be seen by a doctor only to be told by receptionist they THOUGHT he was waiting for a nurse!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I am truly disappointed with service that was provided tonight. 5 and a half hours of waiting, multiple enquires about his position in the queue, also advising reception he had received a call to see the doctor only to be told that is unacceptable. Fix your system or provide extra training for your receptionist. Lack of communication especially when needing urgent medical care is appalling. Definitely will not be coming back to Henderson White Cross.

Worst experience ever. I took my 5 year old son there yesterday with a bleeding head wound. After speaking to the receptionist she gave me documents to fill in and told me to wait outside with my son. I waited 20 min before a nurse saw us only to listen to his heartbeat and check pulse. She didn’t do anything to his bleeding hear wound and told us to go back out and wait for a doctor. I asked how long before I would be seen, and was told between 3 and 5 hours. This is crazy, as my son was still bleeding from his head. She didn’t check his eyes or for concussion. I came home and got the bleeding stopped myself, as 5 hours is crazy to wait with an open head wound that is bleeding.

Waited 5 hours for a prescription. Never saw a doctor and then two weeks later received a $110.00 bill for a consultation with a doctor Sloane. This never happened and their service is all based around money not patient care or honesty. Money machine not a medical service.

Disappointed. This place should shut down or change whoever is in charge! Had to wait with a sick child for 5 hours!!! While so many people just walked right in and got seen straight away. All I can say if your a Polynesian DONT GO HERE! GO STRAIGHT TO STARSHIP. These doctors won’t see you for ages! And the receptionist is useless had nothing to say when questioned why she was letting people of other ethnicity in straight away.

For a medical facility that charges up to $130 a consult, the bathroom and waiting room area are FILTHY. A facility with bathrooms like this tells their consumers, “we don’t value you”. I feel sorry for the doctors and nurses who work here and have to deal with the repercussions of sick and undervalued people. No one should have to work in an environment this filthy and no consumer should have to pay over $100 for a consult and then pee in a bathroom looking like this.

I have been here a few times, for myself and tamariki, and each time have had wonderful care from all the staff. Yes the wait time can be long, however that is not the clinics fault, merely a reflection of our governments priorities in Healthcare. I was seen today by a wonderful Nurse Practitioner, Martin who was super knowledgeable approachable and put me at ease. The nurse who initially saw me, and reception were also kind, caring and communicative. Always super thorough and practical care. Thanks to your wonderful team, White Cross Henderson.

I will give zero star if It will be option then. I was with my 17 months old daughter there. She was having a diarrhoea and vomiting and went there to see the doctor (as my GP was having a covid so I can’t see him). I reached there at 11 am and then see the nurse within 10-12 minute. Then she said you can wait outside and doctor will ask you. My daughter was not ok to sit aa reception so I went into car. I have wait till 2 hour as receptionist told me that it will take 1-1.5 hour but I haven’t got any call from them so I went in side and ask them about what is waiting time now and they said doctor just moved to this side so it will take 45min to 1 hour now. It was a horrible experience. My daughter was super tired and definately, it was not her fault as a baby she can’t wait till 3-4 hours. Doctors and team need to understand this things. I requested receptionist that please can I see the doctor for her and she said we can’t do that you need to wait for a queue. If they told me that it is very long time waiting then I won’t waste my time there. But they just gave me a false hope that it will take maximum 1-1.5 hour and after 2 hour they said it will take more 45 min to 1 hour so how can I trust them.! Better to go any other places. They just want money instead of taking care of people. They don’t even know how to do a service for baby and kid. Horrible experience today.

I enrolled at a new GP and was told I needed to wait for 2-3 days before I can make an appointed, which meant I ended up going to urgent care with my infection. I came here after going to the hospital first. Was warned by the friendly receptionist that waiting times are long. The place was full when i came in. I saw the nurse in a hour and the doctor 4 hours in. It was well worth the wait! The doctor was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I'm all better now too! Try to take a book along, listen to an audible book or podcast and use earphones please or low volume. Nothing wrong with bringing a support person but try not to bring children along if they are not the patients. I left my kids at home. Please understand their is a chronic shortage of healthcare workers and kindness goes a long way.

Went about 9:15pm last night (Sunday the 19th), saw the nurse, was told it was long wait time to see the doctor. However with a room full of people waiting, the first time the doctor showed up to call a patient was almost after 3 hours, older baldish doctor was either playing monopoly between patients or took his time with EXTREME slowness. Then after more than half an hour with that one patient (who didn't look like an emergency case, strolling in with hands in pockets) the doctor still wasn't finished with him, with another 3 patients ahead of us, we decided to leave. I can understand one doctor available, but do you literally take hours for one patient and have a 3 hour break between them? Or is there another waiting room full of patients you are seeing first that we don't know of? The doctors face also didn't look that friendly and at all any care about him. Won't be going there ever again, either emergency at the hospital if more urgent or doctor clinic the next day if less urgent. BTW my son had a concussion, felt dizzy all day especially when tilting his head, that could be something serious or not, hope not.

I took my 11yo son for an emergency matter. We only waited for an hour despite there was quite a lot of people in the waiting room. He was seen by Mike, the nurse because there were only two doctors avail. Very friendly guy. They rang me to check on him around 3am. Good service and very helpful. Thank You!

We have our usual doctors but can never get in within a timely manner. So white cross has always been our backup. I'm greatful for all medical practices and what they do, but I am sick and tired of the poor service and the ridiculous waiting times here at this White Cross. I sat with my son for 4 hours and 40 minutes when I was told there would be a 3 hour (max) wait. We had to leave without seeing a doctor because I had other places to be. I couldn't wait anymore. I was already an hour late to work. Keep the consultation fee. Its the last time I'll be wasting money here. This place has consistently gotten worse over the years. It's a literal s*** show. I'm embarrassed for them.

Been here twice. Both times were frustrating experiences. First time was to get some stitches out, which I was told by the hospital that any nurse can do it - no doctors needed. They insisted on needing to wait for a doctor. Only for me to spend about 30 secs wtih a doctor after many hours, only to be passed on to a nurse to take the stitches out. Most of a day wasted. Total waste of time. Most recently - went in because I had a sudden rash. Doctor insisted it must be bug bites. Sounded rediculous even then, and refutable evidence by the next day that it was so very wrong. Honestly, google was a better doctor. I'm not sure if it's incompetence, or lack of care. I'd like to give it more stars because the people working here are nice, and if it was a resteraunt, I would probably give it 2 or 3. But given this is a health facility. I feel like they're not very efficent, nor particularly competent at fulfilling this.

Avoid if possible, next time I would go to North Shore hospital or Shore Care. I arrived here about 2AM. Stood outside and waited for about 8 minutes, knocked on the door (could see a staff member sleeping), phoned up and could hear the phone ringing from outside. Kept knocking and the man opened the door, really dangerous as people are lurking outside and it is an emergency care facility. The receptionist came out and had her instagram stories playing whilst taking down my details. Filled out the form and then said wait for someone to see you, which waited for the nurse to finish his sleep (with door wide open). In the end all sorted quickly (why there are 2 stars) but would avoid this place at all costs in future. I understand it’s been hard in the healthcare sector over the past 2 years and more, but really - there was no compassion, care or empathy.

My advice to you is just go straight to the hospital if it’s really bad . My 1 year old son had a broken leg arrived at 8am Saturday morning, told he was too happy for it to be broken , seen at 2 . I think maybe 10 people who came in after us were seen before us . So literally all day at this place . Also be prepared to pay for your X-rays . The slip they gave us to get his cast off was to a random address in Ranui , went there it was just someone’s house !? Called the clinic they said the appointment was at white cross so back there and an hour or so waiting to get the cast checked . The moment I arrive here I feel like my soul gets sucked out of my body. I honestly would kill to have just gone to the hospital emergency in the first place .

I happened to be here twice in the last few days. Very kind staff from receptionists to nurses and doctors. Receptionists are on top of top of things and well informed also providing necessary info. My injury was look at by doctors Peter and Martin and they were both great in every aspect.

Very poor experience have waited two hours to be seen by a doctor. I am still waiting apparently five more before me . I got here pretty early considering. Only reason for coming here is that my doctors next door to this place are fully booked untill next Monday. I’ve only had an allergic reaction on my face surely a five min consultation by doctor and then medicine all for a 2 and bit hour wait … Don’t wanna come here again

A complete rip off. 3 hour wait forc10 min consult. $130 + $28 for writing a script. Fees were not clearly visible. I am 76 on super and only used them for convenience because my doc was a away for a few days. Avoid if you can.

The receptionists was visibility irritated to have to turn his Youtube off to "help". Didn't display any care at all. We waited hours and nobody saw to us beyond cups of water and "wait what are you guys here for again?". And it cost $160 for our 4 hours of sitting in a cubical being ignored. Don't bother with this place.

Feeling very frustrated and annoyed as I sit here at 1:30am in a consultation room w my 2yo now waiting for a prescription! We waited 3hrs in the car (online tonight says they’re “quiet”) then reception calls my partner to let him know dr is ready for us (silly as they have my mobile number) so we walk in to find dr has taken in next patient after us! Now we wait a further 15-20mins just for the dr to see us for 30-60sec, he can clearly see our medical reasons and says “antibiotics, won’t be long” and walks out. It’s now 2:15am and we’re finally on our way home! Definitely not happy w tonight’s experience, lack of communication by both reception & doctor!! Kortiro ma (sort it out)

They don’t even deserve One Star… took last night with my wife to white cross. They said wait time is 3 hours to start when I went asked after 2 hours, lady at desk says 5 more hours. We asked can we come in first thing in the morning instead. My wife went this morning at 5:30am all she got was Pharacetmol and got charged $160 fee… just a rip off place… we got heaps off Pharacetmol at home here !! She wanting antibiotics for her cough which wouldn’t go almost 3 weeks… now !! They refused to give her… it’s really shame to NZ when it comes to Doctors… !!

Pathetic!! Won't even give 1 star..... This isn't URGENT CARE, this is wait atleast 4 hours care. The reception staff are seasoned in delivering wait times before they can even ask you your details. If you are here by yourself or no one could wait 4 hours with you, but you have an injury in your leg and can't walk, don't expect any help from reception, nurses or even doctors- they will call your name and walk away, it is up to you to keep up with the doctors once it's finally your turn. Their website says, "ACC assessments at Local Doctors are free for enrolled patients, and accessible and affordable for casual patients. " but then I am enrolled with them and was still charged $60 for an accepted ACC claim, as a surcharge. Really??? BE AWARE!!!! Just a thought, how about doctors not just here but all urgent care work on incentives. So the number of patients they see will dictate their pay. Hopefully that will get doctors to not take 45 mins to an hour to move on to the next patient. As the doctor who examined me only took 2 minutes at the most and then had the nurse deliver prescription and the rest of aftercare instructions, anyways. So why wait for that long if the doctors can move along so quickly? And yes, in terms of pain relief, the best of the best paracetamol and ibuprofen for the wait times was prescribed.

Attended on boxing day, so I expected a bit of a wait. Was seen and sorted in about 3.5 hours, which considering the above, I thought was pretty good. All the staff (reception, nurses, doctors) were friendly, informative and professional.

I waited 2 hours for a male doctor to rush through my consultation and misdiagnose my chest pain as a lung-related infection. The antibiotics given to me did nothing, and I've had to visit multiple doctors since to try and work it out. I've been taking antibiotics for no reason. Such an enormous waste of my time and money, especially over the Christmas period. I am so frustrated by this place and how careless the doctors are. It is not my first time having a negative experience here.

Came in around 3am because I was coughing up blood, staff were really lovely and helpful from the receptionist to nurse to doctor. I feel like I was really listened to, and the solutions/treatments they gave me have really helped, even though previous doctors I saw said there wasn't really anything else that could be done to help.

Tell your patients if they are absolute lowest priority before wasting hours of their life! I would gladly leave if told that rather then sit in a car in pain for hours!

Amazing service here today!! Cannot be happier. I went to another place first and was told it was a 3 hour wait and would cost $160! I nearly cried. I then came here and it was only $39 and was seen and left within 45 minutes. I will not go elsewhere ever again. Thank you so much White Cross Henderson ♥️

My husband attended here today, waited nearly 3 hours and ended up walking out. He was told just before he walked out that he was fourth in place. We understand that they are short staffed, but putting this up it will hopefully make a difference. My husband has what he thinks could be a serious problem and our family doctor doesn't work on Fridays.

Had a great experience at White Cross Henderson. The doctor I saw was very knowledgeable and sympathetic to my condition and has seen me on my way to recovery. The waiting times are a little long but worth the wait. Parking is a little hard to find with the surrounding businesses.

Had to visit twice in the last week due to an accident while biking to work. The receptionists are quick and efficent. Most nurses (bar one) were lovely and treated me with respect. Both doctors I saw took utermost care in assessing what had happened and reassured me of the next steps to healing. Thank you for looking after me when you guys are tired and in the thick of a winter surge.

The worst possible place to go to, especially when you have children. I have 2 kids, both under the age of 2, both sick and struggling with their breathing, and we’re told to wait 3 hours for a doctor. After the 3 hour wait, we’re told we have to wait an additional 6 hours!! This is something I’ve experienced time and time again, and it’s frustrating and disheartening, watching these people decide my children’s well-being is not urgent enough. I sit and watch as my kids (and countless others) are pushed aside, even though they look and sound like they’re on the verge of death. I’d go to the Emergency at Waitakere, but it’s literally the same, with the exception that the nursing staff at the front desk is almost always a horrible woman who doesn’t even want to talk to you and is unashamedly rude and disrespectful. This is the constant treatment of patients at this facility, and there is no urgency in their care for patients. I have waited 6 hours for a doctor, just for him to rush me when I speak, ignore my worries about my child’s health, and send me away with a prescription for Pamol, all in less than 2 minutes. You literally walk in and are met with chairs full of sick children, screaming and crying because they’re unwell and have to wait there for hours on end. Highly understaffed, unhelpful and unsympathetic. I’d rate 0 stars if that were possible.

Worse experience ever! Took my son to see a doctor at early morning hrs of Dec 23, 2023 and when we arrived, there was no one in the waiting area, however we waited for about an hour and a half and I approached the receptionist to ask why it’s taken so long as there are no patients there. Receptionist went to look for the doctor and we were told that it won’t be long. Finally the doctor appeared and it look like that he just woken up. He took about a minute to check my son and he disappeared. He never came back but the nurse came and gave us the prescription about 20 mins later. Nurse got our frustrations and he was as bad as the doctor trying to make excuses. I told them that their service is really bad.

I have been there 3 times in the last couple of months. I was referred there due to being told the wait time at the hospital was very long. All of the doctors and nurses I’ve seen at White Cross haven’t been very helpful - they act extremely rushed for time and like they don’t really have time for you, like they don’t care, and one old male nurse I saw was extremely rude and dismissive when I was trying to ask him questions - he literally cut me off in the middle of asking him questions and walked off saying he had other patients he had to see. I understand they are probably short-staffed and tired but I still think this is unacceptable treatment. Also the toilets are disgusting and 2/3 times they didn’t even have any soap at all to wash your hands with, which is extremely unhygienic for a medical facility. I ended up going to Waitakere Hospital the next day instead and they were amazing, the nurses and doctors were lovely there, they admitted me and actually helped me with the issue I was having. So I wouldn’t recommend White Cross at all, I would rather wait however long it takes to see someone at the hospital, even if it’s many hours, than go to White Cross.

Terrible experience and would not recommend. Took my 6 month old who was struggling to breathe around 9pm and we didn’t see the dr until midnight! Dr took one look and diagnosed her, did a few other checks and disappeared - all within a couple of minutes. The nurse came and administered some meds and sent us home with a prescription. My daughter was worse by the time we got home so we took her to Starship where she was seen immediately and diagnosed with something else and we ended up staying for 2 days. Would not recommend this place especially for children - save your time and take them to Starship. Would rate zero if I could.

So my experience started off fine.. lovely reception lady's and the nurses I got were amazing and did more than the doctor did. I saw Dr Galpottage Perera and he was so rude..doesn't listen to what you have to say, overall doesn't actually give a f about you. $160 for a prescription for panadol and ibuprofen 😳 I highly recommend this doctor retire as I think his days of being a caring doctor are long gone. I am so disappointed at the outcome and really hope the checks he did ( me moving my arms around.. ) was actually enough for him to diagnose me. I barely slept lastnight as I was in so much pain. DO NOT GO HERE

I walked in with no booking and it’s a Sunday they charged me $160 which is understandable but what the doctor did was really disappointing… I told the woman at the front desk I got tested positive in COVID. I need to see a doctor to get a medical certificate for my work and school. Then I filled a form and talked to a professional. She asked about how I am feeling and all the details. I am suffering with headaches, sore throat, body aches and neck pain. I want to vomit every time I cough, also I told her I am feeling very sick. Her service is good, she’s kind although I couldn’t hear her clearly because of the masks but she repeated twice. Afterwards, I waited for 2.50 hours. A doctor checked on me for not even 5 minutes. I told him I am feeling really sick, I am not able to go back to school next whole week. I need him to describe it on the script, but what he wrote really shocked me and my partner. He don’t care how I am feeling. No asking questions about my situation. Barely talk to me. He only give me some paracetamol and pills to stopped vomiting. Well, I need to see a professional gp tomorrow… I felt my money was wasted on such bad service like that and I am really sad because nobody will do anything about it. My suggestion is try to see your own gp. Avoid white cross on weekends especially you are not a local or not PR. I really feel like being a patient there is terrible.
