After 18+ years of being at this medical centre. In recent years have felt rushed out the door and not listened to. Now the same from their admin manager. They don’t care. $50 consult charges. You will find many medical centres that charge half that price. *Lovely response below. Thank you. We have enrolled elsewhere*

ALWAYS FullY Booked… OUT !! HIRE MORE DOCTORS !! Open the clinic 7 days till late rather then saying sorry we are fully booked out for weeks. The only reason we will still come there because of my GP !! I wouldn’t recommend this place at all…. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

I have been going to this centre since my original GP Rodney Marks shifted from his private business into the centre. Looking at some of the reviews i'm not surprised as many comments ring true for me as well. The state of this centre, the staff, the doctors that seem to be always changing all result in little to no actual "care" given to patients. Yesterday was the first time i have been there in 3 years and i was 10mins early for my appointment only to have to wait 40 mins to see the doctors, no apology given for being in late. In the doctors office i was rushed through in 10mins, i have been ill for 6 days and in 10 mins he rushed through gave me a subscription and i was out $51. Get to pharmacy and i was prescribed a drug that is no longer available and then when rang am told there isn't a suitable alternative. amidst the rush i forgot to ask for a Doctors certificate for my sick leave for work to which i rang today and was told i needed another $51 appointment for them to complete this. Ill be shifting to another centre as my health is not of a concern of this establishment.

This practice is mud. You could call first thing in the morning and almost all the time be told that they are fully booked. You are charged through the roof for services that in no way meet the level to be charged that much. Reading the reviews, it also looks like you will be met with defensiveness rather than a professional view of how to improve their practice. I mean, that's what the point of this rating system is, right? So yes, after years of holding out hope that they will improve - I will be enrolling elsewhere, cheers 👍🏾

New to west Auckland, saw this placed and my whole family enrolled to the practice. My husband found a lump and made a appt, we got there and the doctor who was the old man. The first thing he said before any medical question was “ do you need time off “ who asks that before examining their client . My husband said his lump doesn’t hurt but it’s growing. He then checks says it’s not a cyst but says if it hurts more go hospital. As if that wasn’t the reason we were there in the first place . By the end of the week he was dignosed with Cancer stage 3. The doctors at the hospital were very upset bout the examination of this doctor and could’ve referred him earlier to prevent the spread . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DISGUSTING place and their poor service to the community. It’s big for nothing. Rude reciptionst idk why they have so many when you can never get a booking.

Dr. Trixie Yam was booked for a vaccine. I did it on their online booking as there was no other way to book a nurse. When I told her I book for a vaccine she immediately make face and told me “that’s it?” She proceeds to kick me out of her consultation room and told me to wait for the nurse. Now waiting for 30mins and counting for the nurse cause she refused to do the vaccine.

Very poor care given at this clinic. I have waited over 45 mins sometimes for my appointment. I have a spinal issue requiring surgery. I have been sorting out my own mri results which is the GPS JOB and today found out my ultrasound referall had been tagged as Non urgent which is absolutely appalling considering the nature of my injury. I had to call 3 hospitals to see where my referall was at only to be told my referall came thru 4 days ago at waitakere and as non urgent wont be seen till April meaning my spinal surgeon appointment will need canceling delaying my operation. My surgeon referall sat in the GPS email for 3 weeks before she actioned anything. Ive been lied to about medications as well saying they dont exist only to be prescribed them after the fact.. Changing my clinc.

Worst doctors place out west. Waiting lines are so long because you get forgotten about, terrible communication, and a money hungry business. They have no real doctors who can actually help you so when you bring up your issues they'll just send you to another place but still want your money. Went in for to get my ear checked (blocked and infected) they sent me to an ear clinic and still charged me $60. Went in for contraceptives for endometriosis and told me it was all free until after i got the jadelle they told me it would be $300 to remove it and never informed me of the negative aspects before going on it. Whenever i go in for pap smear they make me do it myself in the disgusting bathrooms and still charge me for it. Multiple times they forgot to call me back and give me results for some things. Everytime i come in for an issue i get told to go somehwere else they are so useless. Terrible place please go anywhere but here if you care about saving money and your own health and wellbeing. Also sending me automatic texts that i owe them when i dont owe them and having to wait 30mins for them to pickup to deal with it. This place should be shut down this is only a quarter of the issues i've had with this medical centre.

What for do u need so many reception staff as they stay for hours talk abt their shopping and stuff clearly ignoring patients, or helpful , not empathetic, clearly just there just for money, there few good dr but it’s impossible to book an appointment if urgently needed, wait time is weeks. Walk in clinic is total mess, sit wait till 2 and only after that they will take some info from you, what makes situation even worse as patients basically have to fight for a first spot. I’ll be changing the clinic since my dr left anyways and it’s left nothing good on this Clinic anyways , just all abt the money, that’s how it felt.

This is genuinely getting ridiculous, can't use the portal to book appointments anymore. End up waiting on the phone for 5+ minutes just for some receptionist to tell you no appointments for 2 weeks..... Why can't you keep some slots free for urgent appointments? Should i just book appointments to keep a spot open for me each month just in case i need it? Please figure out a better way to see clients, otherwise you'll keep losing patients.

The center was really good until last year but from this year everything changed i dont know what. If you call the centre the minimum wait time is 15-20min before someone answers and the people who answer the call are not empathetic at all. If you have a sick 1 year old at home and trying to get an appointment they will say the nearest appointment is next week or take the kid to whitecross where the waiting time is 4-6hours. How will i know that my kid will be sick next week and prebook appointments?? How does this work.

My first time there. Apt set for 330pm. Didn't see a doctor for some time after. Tried to explain my pain and how it was caused. Felt rushed to leave. When I asked about my other pains from the same incident, I was told, "I don't have time for that! Book in again and see your Dr."... Anyways, Looking at my ACC form Details and not everything I said was noted, some vital parts missing, just an abbreviated version which doesn't even paint the picture of how it occured or explain the level of pain I felt when it began. 1-star for Prescription and 1-star Directing me to the Physio on the corner, that showed more care by actually listening to what I said. Physio knew more about it and explained it better to me. Thanks for what seems to me, a Fraudulent ACC claim? Glad ACC accepted my claim. Just gotta get the facts right. Yours Painfully

I've been a patient at Henderson Medical Centre for 4+ year's now and I've seen changes with staff and management throughout this time. Dr Manuel Fontanilla left earlier this year and I was apprehensive about the new doctor my patient file will be transferred to. However, today I had the pleasure and honour of meeting my new GP Dr Ash (Ashraff) Eilyaas. What a breath of fresh air! Dr Ash's approach is friendly, direct, honest and frank. When time is of the essence, it is crucial you get your viewpoint across and this was achieved in our appointment. When I left the medical centre, I had a massive smile on my face, I was happy that Dr Ash listened and heard me and I left feeling free and liberated...a weight had been lifted. You're worth your weight in gold Dr Ash! And a big thank you to the ladies at the front desk for being friendly and welcoming. Love your work ❤

The attention was fast, I got checked for many things not just what was bothering me, Doctor Aaron Wong explained everything really well and also requested a lab test just to make sure no other issues are present

I arrived early and was seen before my appointment time. The surgery on my foot went well and I was fully informed all the way, including follow up. The surgeon was chatty and personable. I returned three times to have the wound checked and the dressing changed. The nurses were excellent. Reception staff are pleasant and helpful.

First time being there and the doctor took his time with me and listened to what was wrong. I told him I was afraid of having a heart attack and instead of telling me that I was too young. He sent me to get my heart checked. Really appreciate what he did and everyone I saw was so lovely too.

They have gone down a slide.. understand there is general staff shortage but these guys can't seem to retain good doctors anymore.

Always found it easy to get an appointment for my children's vaccinations when I lived in Henderson. Staff were really pleasant, especially during COVID lockdowns, despite the fact their days must have been stressful.

Went for a skin check with Wendy and she made me feel reassured with her thorough check and years of experience. Highly highly recommend for anyone who is nervous about getting their skin checked.

It was an awful experience. Sutures are not tidy and clean yet pre and post surgery are not informative. Will never visit again and strongly not recommend!

I have currently been waiting 20 mins and counting to speak with a receptionist, phone lines didn’t open till 8.10am even though it states you are open from 8.00am. What is going on?

Thank you to Nurse Wendy and the Henderson Medical Centre. It is such a good service to have a consistant professional that checks our skin, advises us on care of the skin (especially with the harsh NZ sun) - it takes alot of the worry away to be seen regularly, by an efficient, experienced and kind Nurse Wendy - thank you

It is almost impossible to get an appointment when you are actually sick as they are always fully booked for days on end. Only reason i am still with this medical center is cause of one GP. otherwise would never recommend to anyone as they expect you to book in advance as though you have visions of when you will need to see a doctor. cant understand why this place cant have a triaging system with few appointments left unallocated per day for paed's or elderly. HIRE MORE DOCTORS and NURSE PRACTIONERS IF NEEDED.

There are no doubt some very good doctors at this clinic, but it is often impossible to make an appointment with one within a reasonable timeframe. This means taking whatever doctor is available and therefore little continuity of care. On top of that, the whole place gives an impression of being a for-profit, overenroll patients and get them out the door quickly kind of place. This resulted in a lack of follow-up for our son that delayed treatment for a very serious condition that landed us in Starship hospital for 2 weeks following emergency open-heart surgery. We felt overall that our concerns about his symptoms weren't taken seriously enough and changed GP practices to get the follow-up required.

Absolutely Loved the dental care received at the Fono dental in Henderson clinic by Olga, and Dental nurse Diana Martenezz (15/02/24). Despite having the worse dental experience growing up I can now share the great care i received from these lovely gems. Thank you so much Olga and Diana i really appreciate the service i received from you both from hygiene clean to getting a filling. S.K

6 years on from my last one star review of this place and it hasn’t changed at all Still can’t get appointments and the doctors there are just as bad terrible experience still. sort it out allready I been going here since I was a kid and now I’m in my thirties still nothing has changed, I have broken ribs and can’t even get in to get it looked at or an X-ray so my alternative is waiting at A&E for 8 hours and waste their time for something that’s not exactly an emergency Well done 👌

Scared my partner into getting an unnecessary ECG without mentioning that it would double the price of the visit. Beware hidden costs
