    I am registered with Westview Medical Centre for more than a decade now. When I first joined, their services from the reception to the doctors were fantastic. However, I noticed a change of attitude and management in the reception level. Not only it's impossible to get an appointment when you are really sick, they are inflexible and do not go out of the way to help. "Sorry, we are fully booked today", is always the answer I hear. Nonetheless, I received great and attentive care from Dr Julie Curry. She phoned me personally to follow up on my blood test results. I was so impressed by her care. However, the front line peeps have to buck up! I cannot predict when I will fall sick and when i do, I really need to see a doc the same day not next week!

    My partner and I have gone here for several years, originally with Dr. Fiona Kuang but we switched to Dr. Regina Cabuang when Dr. Kuang moved to Christchurch. Since then, my partner - who has type I diabetes - has experienced a number of serious health issues for which they did not get appropriate treatment. Last year, my partner fell in the shower and seriously damaged the nail bed of their big toe. This was particularly concerning because of their diabetes. When they asked for a referral to a podiatrist, Dr. Cabuang told them to "refer themselves." They are now seeing one, but only because they've switched away from this medical centre, and their new doctor referred them. Their toe had become infected and will need surgery. Additionally, earlier this year they developed sudden and quite severe high blood pressure and an edema. My partner went to Dr. Cabuang about this quite a few times as well and was never referred to a kidney specialist or a diabetes specialist, even when their high blood pressure didn't respond to medication. They are now in Auckland City Hospital for nephrotic syndrome which the kidney specialist has confirmed would have been developing while they were still at Westview Medical Centre. The kidney specialist also confirmed it was the cause of the high blood pressure and edema they'd seen Dr. Cabuang about. The nephrotic syndrome was also only caught at all because we switched to a different medical centre last month. Dr. Kuang was lovely while she was still practicing here, but Dr. Cabuang did not provide the medical care my partner needed.

    Have never had an easy experience with getting a script here, have a stable medical condition have had for 20+ years and have been on the same medicine for at least 15 years- shouldn’t be a drama to get a repeat script which I was assured all my info was in the system. Three trips down and various phone calls back and forth to the pharmacy and the dr and it finally got sorted but shouldn’t be that hard. Very inefficient if the reception staff can’t help you get something so basic sorted. I’ve seen various doctors there who were somewhat dismissive of issues I’ve had and I brought them up with my specialist who recommended I get a new GP. The nurses however are really nice so I’d recommend them!

    Doctors and nurses here are amazing. A shame the reception staff are uncaring, lack empathy and are rude especially when you are trying to see your doctor short notice when you suffer from chronic pain. Really let's the place down. I prefer to book online just to avoid talking to them.

    I've been here a since August 2020. And wow I feel like just a number to them. Recently I rung up as my skin condition had up to the point. It was burning. I rung up and they were all booked out. I td the receptionist and I got the usual 'Im sorry we all booked up' and this was on a Thursday and could not get an appointment until Monday. I asked could she get the doctor to write me a prescription so I can pick up some creams. I the get transfered to the nurse who messaged the doctor and was awaiting a reply but she assured me she would here from the doctor that day. Well that was Thursday and its now Monday and I still not heard a thing. I suffered in pain cause they could not sort there sh*T out. This is also not the first time i have waited to here from a doctor and not heard back.

    Some doctors are good,but some will make you feel like you need too apologize for taking up their precious time,I know they are busy,but we all have feelings!!

    The worst medical centre I’ve ever been to. I have had problems with rude reception staff and managers, doctors forgetting to send prescriptions out and now, their online booking system doesn’t work, they don’t respond to emails or calls so I have no choice but to find an alternate GP. I sent another email to let them know this and also didn’t even get an acknowledgment of my email or concerns. AVOID!!

    The best medical team! Fantastic range of doctors and if you can't get an appointment the kind nurses invite you in to get assessed and if needed find a doctor to quickly check you. The nurses also do a great phone assessment too! I highly recommend this fabulous team who have great systems in place so we are always seen on time with hardly any delay most times. The chemist next door is an added bonus with very passionate and caring staff there too!

    Hello, my daughter suggested I try your practice after my doctor retired. I've attended several appointments with your nurses only and commend them all. Without exception they've all been courteous and pleasant.

    I’ve had to change GP twice now. Went in for an appointment the other day, Regina didn’t even look at me and dismissed me after two minutes. Extremely disappointed

    Went to this clinic as was the closest to accident site and cut hand with possibility of cut an artery or vein and because i wasnt registered told to go to white cross. Unbelievable

    Very disappointed. I had signed up for the ManageMyHealth Patient Portal which was encouraged by the Medical Centre, but found out my information entered was incorrect, outdated or missing. I phoned the Centre Reception who told me that they do not know who enters client information and was referred to speak to the nurse. I did. The nurse told me I should speak to the APP-developers ?! She could not tell me how information is entered or by whom. I voiced my concern for the safety and privacy of my data to which she replied that her father is a software developer and it is a software problem before she hung up on me. Very rude.

    The doctors, nurses and receptionist's are lovely. ALOT of free parking available at the back of the building for patients. Access via West Coast Road is easiest. Although can use the Glendale Road entrance also. Thankyou for your kindness and care.

    One star for the reception lady - Shona. My sister rang for her prescription but she's been so unprofessional to her. She's been giving medical advices over the phone to her. My sister missed a call from the clinic so she rang back. She answered the phone AGAIN with the same attitude.

    Try to accommodate my needs when unexpected appointment requireed. Reception much improved after covid which must have caused huge challenges.

    Friendly team on reception. Clean and tidy. Has a chemist next door. They are extremely busy and hard to get a booking (especially in winter). Can be up to and over a week wait.

    Went in with my work mate who had cut his hand and was bleeding everywhere , ask the reception for help they asked if we where a patient but was not And was turned down and told to leave
