Most daft booking system for the DIY dog wash that no other Animates locations do. Can’t pop in for a wash even when no one is there and a wash is usually no more than 10 minutes. Waste of time even trying.

Perfect dog washing area. Machine with many settings from rinse/wash to condition and bow dryer. Also good range of pet food and anything else you might need for your pet. Friendly helpful staff.

They were very helpful but just not exactly happy with the item we bought. It's a harness that stops the dog from pulling,except the package shows perfect for a dog like a German shepherd then when we got it and took it out of the package it will definitely not fit round our waist at all.

Super friendly and helpful staff and a great range of different gear. I went in for a jacket for my dog Harry and we got a Barkers merino jumper which he was able to try on in the store, lucky we were able to as we had picked the wrong size. We got the correct size for a really good price and our dog loves it. The lady was super helpful and friendly and asked permission before giving treats to Harry so that was a really enjoyable experience all round.

Amber was so friendly and was amazing in helping me to choose the feliway diffuser product to help with my new cat introduction. She was also very knowledgeable and gave some great advice on gentle cat introductions and answered all my questions. Thanks for the great experience will be back :)

The quality of the toys and leads at animates is unrivalled. The duck is my dogs favourite and he destroys one a week so I’m always having to get a new one but the look on his face as he rips the stuffing is priceless. I don't usually have a good experience with the Animates stores in the past but my experience today changed my perspective. Chloe was very helpful & polite towards my partner & I. We didn't feel prejudged & didn't feel like someone was always watching our every moves. Very good product knowledge in helping us find the right muzzle size for our dogs. We get our Labrador groomed here (have been quite a few times) and the staff and service are amazing! Highly recommend! Our old boy has trouble getting in and out of the car and the staff are so helpful and accommodating! Thank you!

Lovely staff, clean and tidy shop. Huge range to choose from. The only negative is parking is abit difficult at times.

Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Only popped in for some fish food, and then of course started to browse the dog food area so came away with a bag of that as well.

I used to go to Petstock but last few times i have come into Animates, honestly just because of the service i got provided by the one with the beautiful dreads, sorry i dont know your name. Will get it next time .Every time i have been in there, amazing customer service, has the best knowledge and most of all , great energy. Seems like you are doing what you love. And you are great at it, keep spreading that good juju. Thank you for your help and guidance in giving my pup the best.

Dog groomer, Taylor, is a Star. She managed to cut the nails of my very fearful dog. Previously, the vet had to anetherise her for the procedure. I find the advice and customer at this store to be best. No pressure to buy.

Staff are really good here, have good range of pet items and they are easy to find. You have to book in dog wash in weekend which is a pain especially if you forget. The groomer is a nightmare and it's a merrygo round if you are not getting a full groom like nail clips so best to go elsewhere. Also any more active dogs or different dogs- blind/ deaf she is not keen on either. Recommend st lukes branch for those.

Service is pretty poor. Besides 1 staff member, the rest seem like they don't want to be there. I just got home and checked my statements to realise that I've been overcharged for the dog treats I just purchased but if it means going back to the store to solve it, they can keep the money, it's just not worth the headache. The tall lad with the curly locks was the only one who really acknowledged us and was kind.

Lovely staff, very knowledgeable and love animals, always nice to the dogs that come in. Scale for weighing dog very useful. Grooming team do a great job and even our nervous dog is happy to get groomed there, they’re always so kind to her.
