I visited Sylvia Park Animates for the first time on Saturday afternoon, it is not a local store for me however due to all local branches being out of stock of what I needed I phoned and spoke to a person named Shannon who was polite and helpful. I arrived at the store and had the privilege of being looked after by 2 great staff, Kasey and Jules. The customer service from both was100%. Kasey even offered to help me carry my purchases to my car. Thanks guys and keep up the great service 😊

We had to travel from Mangere but we will use Animates Silvia Park Groomers again it was a truly wow experience from start to Finish there were Other Medium and big dogs there as well but Susan is more than capable to manage as our Japanese Spitz Bella is a medium sized dog and she was very relaxed with Susan they have a fully adjustable height bar that can accommodate any size of dog and it keeps your dog at the right level while being clippered and they do a fantastic job washing and drying whist being chlippered in style. When susan rang me to let me know bella progress and then I saw her I just remember smiling alot at first I had to step back in mind as bella was like pure white I was really surprised.Susans skills are amazing.thanks animates.

Made an online purchase to click and collect same day. I was very excited as I'm a first time pet owner so it was my first time visiting this store. Walked in and went to the counter, looked around for staff and saw two who also saw me but decided to keep chatting away. Saw another 2 who were restocking shelves so I decided to wait a bit, staff could see I was waiting and still didn't bother to come serve me for 5 minutes so I dicided to approach them myself which was just not on. However the girl who did serve me was very friendly and I was able to get my order without any hassle. Was an OK first time experience, just hope staff use the initiative to serve customers who wait at the counter and not let make the customer feel like they have to approach them instead 🤦🏻‍♀️

Awesome, great and helpful staff with lots of product options. Lots of toys for dogs. Lots of car parking available too. Nice and convenient near the Mt Wellington off-ramps. Highly recommend. They also have pet grooming options but haven't tried them yet so will update once we have.

Quite spacious store with lots of pet foods and accessories to choose from. Lots of parking spaces for shoppers, on the other side of the Sylvia Park main shopping mall. Staffs are welcoming and friendly which is a plus. They also have pet grooming as well. However things are quite expensive here, worth a vitist whenever there's a special going on.

Love the dog grooming service in Animates Sylvia Park. The groomers are super nice and caring about the dogs. Our dog does not like getting groomed but they handled it really well without loosing thier patience. By far the best groomers we been to.

Good groomers that do a great job trimming pets. Store has decent offerings too. Staff are relaxed.

Being a first time cat mum caring for a stray kitten I had no idea what to do.ZEE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, very informative kind and professional. Recommended me the best kitten food and essentials and gave me advice! Friendly and welcoming!

Tidy and clean branch with huge variety of pet stuff - from food to toys, etc. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful.

Used the dog groomers here and they were excellent! I was also over an hour late picking up the dogs because of a meeting that ran over and I called to apologise and they were so good about it and even didn't charge the late fee. Thank you lovely groomers and I'm so sorry for being late!!!! Bob and Pippa look great!

First time pet owner here. I was looking for nail clippers to cut my kitten's claws and advice on how I would go about cutting them without out hurting my kitten or getting myself bitten. The staff here were super friendly and was super helpful. She showed me how to use the cat claw clippers. She gave great advice and tips to cutting my kitten claws. Her advice worked without any harm to my kitten or myself. The nail clippers them self were affordable. They do have a fancy brand which was $10 more, they were still affordable at $33 but I saw a $22.49 pair I asked if they would do the same job she said yes. Great winning! I suppose the fancy brand was like the Louis Vuitton of the cat world and I went with Nike lol. This will be my go to pet store for friendly service, trusted advice. (and affordable prices if you're looking for nail clippers for your pets)

I’ve had super lovely service here on a couple of occasions. Staff have got out of their way to help, including sorting a replacement dog lead which had unexpectedly broken and even loading my car when I didn’t have enough hands free!

Decided to try the grooming service at this branch however we unfortunately won’t be rebooking. Not sure if they were overbooked, understaffed because it was the weekend or just poorly trained, but our two dogs were returned to us with jagged, uneven lengths of fur all over, and several knots behind the ear and leg etc. Just an all round bad job, we had to tidy them both up that same day. At $90 per groomed dog, we’re just used to a higher quality service so will be booking elsewhere next time.

Bought a few things for our furbaby on Labour day and the guy in the counter was super friendly and energetic, it was contagious lol 👍 Would have loved more cheaper options to choose from but would come back just for the amazing customer service 😊

Worst groomers in town... never going back again. They treat pets like money making machine. My dog had cuts and scrapes on his skin and paws. I had to go back the next day to get the grooming sorted as they did not complete the hygiene area. Horrible Horrible place.

There stores are so nice and staff so friendly. Now that I moved out Pakuranga way there my new place to get my babies supplies

Staff is always friendly and the cat litter is a reasonable price especially if you get a loyalty card.

The staff in this store - especially Thursday to Sunday - when I usually get the time to visit - are really really great, so much so I even took my puppy to meet them when they said they'd never seen the breed!!! :)

Hi I have complaint to lodege, this is regards to Sylvia Park Store manager- Rachel . Today we went to the shop to buy two fishes , whom can live with our exsisting Gappis in our small fish tank. This staff approached us & we thought she might help us to find a suitable solution.But when we finalize with what we want to buy as per her instructions, she said she can't sell 2 fishes, then you need to buy a school of fish. I asked how can you say you can't buy pair? Then she said she has right to decide over it.This is totally disrespectful & we were really disappointed with her ego, she has big boss type ego, by descremenating customers over their buying desires. please looking to this matter,we want a fair reason & justification for this Rude, so bold headed employee.Infact when we ask questions ,she asked us to leave the store.My 5 year son me & my wife were thourally disappointed. I asked her if we can't buy a pair ,why you have mentioned the, price per fish? She is so rude & has 0 customer service.These type of employees will bring shame & disgust to your organization. Please do a fair inquiry & do us a justice. We came empty handed , I have attached the price tag of the fish that we wanted to buy. Thanks AJ

Caring, concerned and friendly staff who always greet me as I come in with great attitudes. The store is well set out and it’s rare for stock to be unavailable in my 3 years of shopping with the company at this store as well as three kings and Lunn Ave . I see them as part of my animals welfare team, along with Ellerslie Veterinary clinic who recommends these products.

To expensive, try k mart first people before you spend 4 x more at animates. There staff are friendly and kind BUT I do not feel they are knowledgeable. Just pushing there products to sell to people. The $32 dollar shampoo I brought for my dog didn't even work to help stop her itchy skin!

I've asked the staff they could please feed my dog and I give them treats as my dog is scared to go in there for some reason and they are happy to do so and I appreciate this very much

Horrable experience, very poor quality items. This toy rope was setrived three times in the first day of owning it and it broke. I took it back the following day and the staff didn't want to know. Never returning.
