Another
beautiful
isolated
beach
north
of
Piha!
It’s
not
terribly
difficult
to
access,
but
hiking
down
to
the
beach
and
back
up
can
be
a
little
strenuous.
To
get
to
this
beach,
turn
off
of
Piha
Road
onto
Anawhata
Road
and
drive
to
the
very
end.
It’s
mostly
gravel
road
and
it
will
take
20
or
25
minutes.
At
the
end
is
an
overlook,
a
parking
area,
and
the
trailhead
going
down
to
the
beach.
It
takes
about
30
minutes
to
walk
down
to
the
beach,
and
a
little
longer
coming
back
up.
The
beach
has
black
sand
that
can
be
very
hot
in
the
sunshine,
so
wear
shoes
or
sandals,
and
take
a
beach
towel
or
blanket
with
you.
The
effort
of
getting
to
these
isolated
beaches
is
always
worth
it
to
enjoy
the
seclusion
and
the
natural
beauty!
