Our stay at Dovecote House really made our recent trip to Auckland. Nathan and Tim looked after us - and spoiled us - from the time we arrived to the time we left. We loved all the extras: being picked up and dropped off to the airport, dinner, massage. I even bought a plant! Dovecote House is adorable and it doesn't feel like it's near a big city. We will be back.

Fantastic accomodation, a big thank you to Nathan and Tim for beeing such amazing hosts and making this place a truely 'home away from home'! We really enjoyed our few days at this place. It's very peacefull and quiet and the food is amazing too (yummy bread and great home made jams). Thank you and looking forward to staying again :)

We spent the first night of our honeymoon at do ecote house and everything was amazing! The nicest, most thoughtful hosts. Wonderful meals. Its definitely worth having dinner at the BnB as well as the breakfast that is included. We loved the gorgeous gardens and all the cats to cuddle. It's so close to the beach and to shops/food. We stayed in the garden view room which was clean and beautiful. We would recommend this fantastic stay to anyone.

Top marks to Nathan and Tim, we spent a week here and the house is charming and cozy. We had the most amazing breakfast, homemade muesli,an assortment for everyone (gluten free, keto) etc. Nathan’s homemade Jams and jellies were enjoyed on the large whole-wheat bread that has inspired me to make bread! Nathan and Tim were very accommodating to all of our needs, 10/10 FOR ALL YOUR AMAZING EFFORTS.❤️from Canada🇨🇦.

I had a blissful four days at wonderful Dovecote Cottage. It is a home away from home! Nathan and Tim went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. The room was perfect, the breakfast delicious, the location peaceful - a life renewing getaway. I can't wait to return.

We had a lovely stay for our last night in New Zealand. Got massages there and so glad we did! Now we are starting our trip back relaxed and far less sore from our adventures!

Nathan and Tim, the owners, made our visit cosy and comfortable. The food was wonderful and the gardens beautiful. We lived the little kitten,Halyn who loved to cuddle. What a lucky find for us!

I travel *a lot* -- so when I say that this was the best B&B stay I've ever experienced, this is really saying something. The place is beautiful, with decorator touches that constantly had me doing double-takes. This is a comfy, lived-in, old-fashioned home with so many custom and artistic touches that you'll find yourself with hundreds of photos to sort through by the time you leave. The garden is breathtaking, designed and maintained by the B&B host with a degree in horticulture. The location is spectacular, with its gate opening onto a paved footpath that takes you directly to the beach. The food is wonderful -- be sure to let your hosts know what things you prefer or have always wanted to try! The current chief resident is the cutest kitten you've ever seen. But most important of all is that the hosts are delightfully friendly, very accommodating, delightful people: ready to give you all the space you need or to hang out, if that's what you want to do. Whether for a stress-reduction weekend, a couples retreat (complete with a hot tub and an on-location massage), or a place to work in solitude (bring your laptop and enjoy their nice Wi-Fi in their gorgeous guest lounge) -- this is the place you want to stay if you are planning a visit to Auckland. Seriously: you are going to catch yourself referring to it as "home."

No place like Home! Nathan and Tim are wonderful hosts, and being stranded here at Dovecote House during cyclone Gabrielle was nothing short of a miracle. They treat guests like family, they accommodate on every level (not only breakfast, but dinner, lunch, rides to airport, answers to my questions at anytime, etc.). I stumbled upon this place online, grabbed it, and so glad I did. The local hikes to beach and hillside are lovely. The kitties are sweet, and the doves are beautiful. Also, Nathan is a naturopath, so if you book ahead, you can get a natural health treatment as well! Truly I’m in heaven; don’t hesitate to book here. Grateful 😇 And Nathan is a gourmet cook, food is healthy and tastes fabulous! 💜

We stayed at Dovecote House B&B for four days and it couldn't have been a better start of our travels through New Zealand. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is really nice, breakfast was delicious with all the homemade jams and jellies and wayy too many tea flavors ;) On top of that the garden is so beautiful and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful, which was perfect as we were still adjusting after the jetlag. We enjoyed the dinner made by Nathan, who even made a beautiful bouquet with flowers from the garden since it was our anniversary that day. Oh and not to forget the cats, they were so cute and curious, we loved them. Nathan and Tim are wonderful hosts and we absolutely enjoyed staying in their gorgeous home.

The best Bed and Breakfast that my wife and I have ever been to! Nathan and Tim are the most deliteful people. They have crafted a beautiful atmosphere through hard work, skill, and passion. I especially loved the fragrant scents from the flowers in the garden, the sound of the Doves in the morning, and the charm from the way the house has been stylized. We are thankful we had the opportunity to spend two nights here. I'd recommend trying the homemade jelly with their homemade bed during breakfast - it's truly delicious. -Andrew and Kaitlyn

We stayed in Garden View Room. Great bed, excellent hosts. Nathan and Tim are super welcoming, great hosts, great to tour the garden, have a drink or three :-)

The room was very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The host were very accommodating and the continental breakfast was very good with fresh made bread and homemade jams and preserves.

Nathan and Tim were the most caring and inviting hosts. Chicken dinner & chocolate selfsaucing pudd was perfect to end the day. Brekky, freshly made bread to toast with a selection of homemade jams, meusli and fruit all made or preserved by Nathan - totally amazing. (Quince Jelly was being made when I arrived and I just couldn't resist buying a jar to bring home). I often wake for a midnight cuppa but I slept soundly on the oh so comfy bed aaall night. A super nice place to stay; Most highly recommended; The hospitality is outstanding.

Peace and quiet. Loved the tour of the garden, very informative and learnt a lot. Enjoyed home cooked dinner and continental breakfast with home made bread , assorted home made jellies and jams. Thank Nathan and Tim and what amazing hosts you have been!
