One of the receptionists was looking at us very weirdly. Her whole aura seemed strange. The other receptionist was great, but didn't tell... I had a crazy experience today. Went in to get my little girl's injury checked. She fell on concrete and hurt her forehead and nose, her nose was bleeding inside. One of the receptionists was looking at us very weirdly. Her whole aura seemed strange. The other receptionist was great, but didn't tell me they would normally call your phone when the doctor was ready to see you. I went in multiple times to check where we were in the queue to see the doctor. Our entire visit, once with the nurse and then with the doctor, including the wait was 3 hours long. Out of which we were waiting for 2.5 hours or a little longer than that. The nurse and doctor are so lovely. I'm not sure who controls the time or process for the visits, but I really think they need to revise this. It would also be a lot better if the receptionists were more welcoming and kind to the visitors and patients as everyone going into the clinic is probably distressed. A smile and a greeting will not hurt you. It will definitely make the receiver's time more pleasant.

Doctors and nurses are great, only downfall was when we arrived at 8.30pm, the receptionist told us they turned away 10 patients already as they close at 10pm, wasnt much people in the waiting room and i was sure we would be seen before closing time. We stayed, saw a nurse and doctor within under an hour. Maybe the receptionist wanted to go home on time to have a cup of tea, but she shouldnt turn away patience who come in seeking medical help. We could of gone straight to the hosp but why would you if you know it aint urgent enough to go. By reading all the reviews on the receptionist, now i know exactly what people are on about. She needs to improve on her customer service, otherwise stay out the back and clean.

White Cross New Lynn don’t even deserve a star at all. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! My partner had broken his left thumb at work, we were referred to them since Waitakere Hospitals wait times were 6+ hours. After waiting about 2hours to see the doctor we had the Xray only to be told 10mins later by the doctor that it wasn’t broken, even though we clearly stated it was leaning to the right and he complained it was painful to bend, his pain had not eased up, not even the slightest. Doctor sent us away with a splint that only caused more pain, paracetamol and to come back next tuesday because the doctor said, “Come and see the other doctor who’s seen more xrays than me and he can confirm if it is broken”. SORRY WHAT?! We’re busy working parents who came all the way to have something sorted and pain relief offered. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Now, we live far away from White cross New Lynn and we had gone there purely because we were in the area. Eventually we went to our GP who attempted to locate the xray as the pain was still unbearable - what do know, she couldn’t find it on record. Attempted to contact white cross reception, no answer - more days went by and someone calls back saying, “oh yeah your results have come back and yes, your THUMB IS BROKEN you’ll need to come back.” And this was 3weeks after we initially went to seek medical assistance - Our GP said to ask them to forward the Xrays and both times they called asking us to come in, we said we can’t it’s out of the way CAN YOU PLEASE FORWARD TO OUR GP SO SHE CAN DO WHAT YOUR DOCTOR FAILED TO DO! Did they send the xrays? Take a guess….? NO! Is my partners thumb still broken, YES! Will we ever go back to White Cross New Lynn! Absolutely NOT! Worst place ever, do not come here! Do yourself a favour wait to see your own GP OR wait the 6+ hours at the hospital, at least you’ll be assessed properly and thoroughly!

Definitely will not be returning. I had called health line and told them I had been vomiting for over 12 hours and I couldn't even drink water because I threw that back up so they told me to come here and I did and I explained this and I still had to wait 4 hours to be seen and given something that didn't even help? All I got was a saches hudrsting packet and I threw that up too and am still sick and dehydrated. You guys need to sort out your emergency things because someone who can't keep water down is classified as urgent rather than leaving them to struggle even standing up because of no energy

if you could call a person and if they don't pick up the phone you win $1,000,000? white cross new lynn would be the best place to call. at this point, i think the phone's only there for decoration and background music when it rings. i left my last doctors due to poor reception service and its disappointing to see its the same here. looks like it might be a profession issue at this point (medical receptionist). difficult to get ahold of anyone at the clinic which makes booking appointments difficult. receptionists are quite rude and unfriendly. my lack of rating would be due to the receptionists only. i can't fault the doctor/s or nurse/s here. they are quite thorough in their work and have always taken their time and gone above and beyond but the receptionist really brings the rating down. think it might be time to search for a new doctors.

Staff are super-nice and kept us informed. With COVID etc, things must be difficult and stressful for them (as well as patients). Second time here. Both times staff were great and care was excellent. I do not understand the low rating, however I think people fail to realise this is an urgent care and they do their best.

Absolutely shocking!!! Started off with not being able to get through via phone. Then when getting there, the receptionist saying there's 11 people before us and its literally not even 12pm. There is 1 doctor on site & this is meant to be a White Cross. Something has to change. Thought after all these reviews there would be some improvement. But nothing. D-

Extremely rude receptionist, they take really long to answer the fone, hard to book an appointment, my previous experience was extremely bad as they were quite busy, I was told the wait period is 2 hours upon calling, which I was okay with, arrived there just for them to tell me their not seeing anymore patients, it was a waste of time, and staffs attitude was ridiculous, no sorry nothing. Don't recommend going here at all!! Clearly by the reviews this place isn't doing well!

Wasted 3 hours and at the end doctor was rude and no smile or talk, extremely sick just gave 2 parestamol and reffed us to the waitakere hospital. White cross said we send them letter they will check you right away, now sitting here and wasting our time they said to wait.

Not happy having to wait over 2 hours if you 'walk in' & need to see a Dr urgently. You're never able to get through when calling to book in for an appointment. If you're lucky to get through on the phone, you'll be told to wait at least a week to be seen/apptment time. It's appalling, you can't even get two kids seen at the same time instead you have to book them at separate times during the day! Drs a great once you FINALLY get to see one but these guys really need to either get more staff or improve on their processes because whats happeming at the moment is failing.

Worst experience in A&E. I had a neck injury and was in severe pain. I wouldn’t usually care about a 3 hour wait as it was expected but I was the only patient along with 3 other people. This place is severely understaffed, they only had 2 doctors and 2 nurses but still there was no movement for an hour when it was clearly not busy. They started to get busier and they were obviously just rushing everything. I finally see a doctor and explain to her what happen and I tell her what I think it may be and then she proceeds to GOOGLE THE ANSWER RIGHT INFRONT OF ME AND THEN PRINT OUT THE ARTICLE I LOOKED AT EARLIER. I was completely shocked and she didn’t answer an important question that I asked. I actually reckon that she was a receptionist that was put in a doctors position to speed up the process. I’m still in pain. This place should honestly shut down because of its dysfunctional system, and they should notice that because I saw that they’re running out of complaint files. Oh yea and all that was $120

Dreadful experience. Left in extreme pain and ended up finding Panadol in my bag after waiting 40 mins in the waiting room. The nurse didn't even offer me anything for my bad pain. Wasn't even given medical notes when I left. I didn't felt like I was taken seriously for a pretty painful and bad injury. Lucky I have a great Physio who found the issue out asap. I will now avoid this white cross. They probably prolong my recovery!!

Disrespectful and lacking code of ethics in this service! How can you treat sick, elderly and Mums with children waiting to see a Dr! I came on Sunday 26/03/2023, just b4 8 am. There was already a queue of at least10 -12 ppl, lining up outside. 8.00 am opening Time still no one opened up! A lady from next door in X-ray, came out to inform us the clinic was closed??! You can see the dismay and ppl utterly disappointed. I didn’t wait and went to Whitecross Mt Albert. The staff are professional and friendly from Reception to all the medical staff. I was seen within an hour. I highly commend you go there for care and treatment and by pass going to New Lynn

I got involved with White Cross New Lynn/Avondale because I was looking for doctors I could trust. I have been with them almost 10 years. I've never been let down. Their doctors are thoroughly up to date and will do their best! In my past I have recommended them for pre-employment medical and ACC work with employees (10 years ago). The doctors and nurses are awesome especially my doctor who understood my pain and problem. Do I trust them? 100% I also have the app to check my medical tests and results which also helps in me giving a 5 star review. Just the reception and phones might need some work in customer service! My doctor is awesome and the nurses I met are also awesome. I also love that they are open long hours and 7 days!

I recently changed doctor as white cross in new Lynn is shocking. To start with the bad customer service, receptionists are always grumpy, they never reply to phone calls or emails, so hard to keep the communication and book an appointment, they messed up appointment days and times and I also received some medical information regarding another person. That was a mistake of the receptionist and a clear violation of the privacy of another patient!!! I used to see a GP here who was great and that was the only reason why I kept coming here but she left and I had a visit with GP Karen who was kinda rushy and asking some questions in not a very nice way. She put me on antibiotics without doing a proper check and making sure to give the right diagnosis. I had enough and changed doctor. The new GP gave me a complete different diagnosis and got me off the antibiotics immediately and did a proper check . Never going back to white cross new lynn! I don't recommend them as they don't provide a good service and the GP is not reliable.

I can now head off on holiday with my stressed greatly reduced. Kia Ora rawa atu gals and guys 👍🏽

Attended here last week with tattoo infection on Wednesday around 8am. Clinic is very short handed, just 1 doctor and 1 nurse(not sure if it’s a constant situation or has occurred just that day). But I didn’t wait too long! By 9:30am I’ve already been patched up and waiting for prescribed drugs at the next door pharmacy. All staff were in rush obviously but very friendly and helpful. My advice is to arrive at early hours like 7:50am as there are no appointments but a live queue.

Receptionist/Administration never answers when you call Incorrect information from the receptionist/admin, Doctors and Clinical Manager I asked for my OIA - Medicals, Dr Alistair Sullivan the Director wont give it to me. Nor will White Cross New Lynn. I emailed. Don’t see Dr Karen S, she gave me a Stroke 18/09/2022. Dont see Dr Dogra Rakesh, he told me to see Dr Karen S I had a meeting with all of the above stated with HDC Advisor, so unprofessional and it didn’t go well I had to move because of the experience Because they wont give my medicals, OIA request. It has forced me to see my Lawyer and they will be in touch with Dr Alistair Sullivan and White Cross New Lynn. The Head of Medicine read my medicals. Which prompted me to do my OIA request. Other clinics and organisations will give my OIA request. But Dr Alistair Sullivan and White Cross New Lynn won’t What does Dr Alistair Sullivan, White Cross New Lynn, Dr Karen S, Dr Dogra Rakesh have to hide? There is something they don’t want me to know/find

29/12/2023 - My daughter who is 2 years 9 months came in for a check with the doctor as she got bitten by a rabbit who was not vaccinated Or checked by a vet. They didn't see her.. Told my husband that there is a 3 hour wait to go to Henderson, my husband questioned it but the receptionist was adamant they go there. When he did get to Henderson they were told it's a 5 hour wait. That new lynn should have been able to check the database. She is a child for goodness sake.. Think of her instead of making us run around and making us wait for so long to see a doctor.. Esp when the nurse who did see said that coz the animal wasn't vaccinated or checked by a vet she needs to see the doctor. This is a very bad and poor and irresponsible facility. Btw way by daughter is registered with this clinic. (P.s. the rabbit is not ours)

Nurse Christy and Dr Sam were excellent. They could see I was in a lot of pain and might need to be admitted so they were empathetic and fast tracked me. Dr Sam was excellent, empathetic and efficient at organising things with the hospital. Highly recommend them.

One of the best doctor experiences I have had. The doctor was helpful and thorough. Wait times are long but they are long everywhere.

New Lynn White cross hours are 7 days 8am to 8pm but on the 2nd off January 2024 whenI took my immobile wife there at 3-30 pm I was told they were closed and go to St Luke’s or Henderson. I was no asked what the problem was just told to go elsewhere. We went to Mt Roskill White Cross and my wife was admitted to hospital with chest pains and shortness of breath.I find this very unsatisfactory if they cannot provide the services for the stated opening hours they should not be in the medical practice.

Great experience at White Cross. Very grateful to Dr Derek and Nurse Christy for being so efficient and taking great care of me. I was there for approx. 1 hour and 15 mins overall but thought it might have been longer due to other unexpected circumstances. Their kind and compassionate nature was very much appreciated. Highly commend them and their team on their work and efforts!

I was really surprised at the amazing service we received from all of the staff from the reception to the nurse and the doctor. We were seen straight away by the nurse and waited for only 10 minutes to see the doctor.

Waited over 5 hours with my sick daughter. Watched as people who came after us went before us. How is a baby not a priority. Worst doctors don’t ever come here

I arrived with severe pain late in the afternoon and didn't have to wait long to see the doctor. The doctor showed a lot of knowledge, explained me everything about the symptoms and also about the next steps and options available. I was given an injection to relieve the pain and had to come back next morning to schedule a CT scan. The second doctor was also great and managed to book the scan within a couple of hours. All the staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely go back there.

The filipino male nurse at New Lynn gave awful service to my mum. We were warned against coming here because of him by a colleague but took a chance due to long wait times at the hospital. He was cocky and rude, didn’t practise good hygiene as he threw things across the room into the bin. He brings shame to our Filipino people, doctors and nurses. We ended leaving early because of this bad experience. Will warn everybody in the community against coming here again.

I had the most disgusting greeting and treatment from the receptionist NIKiSHA today she should not be the first person people see she didn't greet me with hello as I did her along with a friendly attitude , she then had me fill a form out I handed it to her an she told me an my six babies to go stand outside in the rain or something we stood outside for a second then I thought this is disturbing there's room inside why is she making us wait on the carpark with 3babies?? I left and went back to get her name nikisha was her name. I'm going to be complaining and keep complaining until she's either skilled with or taught proper treatment of humans and manners the smug look on her face made me feel sick inside, my mothers discusted too. If she wasn't there this would still be a five star rating pity.

I’ve now changed my regular doctor to White Cross New Lynn as the doctors here are thorough in their diagnosis nothing like other doctors surgeries in Henderson. The system they use works really well. Arrive register At reception and they ask you to stay in your car. They phone your mobile once the nurse & then doctor is ready to see you. Works really well.

disappointed with the receptionist on duty this morning. No greeting, no smile. Asked to wait in car and told wait time will be 2 hours for nurse and 3 hours for doc. We came back and received call in 20 minutes. No correct information passed on.

😠 They deserve minus 5 stars. The doctor New Lynn deserves bankruptcy. The reason is much more than the below points, 1. Hard to get the phone answered. Many times the calls are during the working hours, but the voice message said it is out of working hours. What a joke!!! 2. Occasionally the phone is...
