😠 Been with the clinic for years , doctors and receptionist are awesome, the biggest issue is to get the appointment to see the doctors, it’s 2-4 weeks waiting to get any medical help. In my understanding we need to see doctors when we are sick or any of our family member is sick , what we going to do... People often mention appointment, clinic, doctor, doctors, time, medical, appointments, staff, receptionist, sick,

Been with the clinic for years , doctors and receptionist are awesome, the biggest issue is to get the appointment to see the doctors, it’s 2-4 weeks waiting to get any medical help. In my understanding we need to see doctors when we are sick or any of our family member is sick , what we going to do with weeks and months later appointments. We can’t plan when we will be sick. I am really disappointed with this clinic now ( it’s been 10-12 times happened with me that I m unable see any doctor when been really sick), they have opened 3 branches but all useless , I just don’t understand why to keep on enrolling more patients when you just can’t even look after/ cater your existing ones. Now I am looking for another nearby clinic. Won’t recommend anyone this clinic as doctors are super busy ( either on holidays or not sure), thanks

Cannot get an appointment just about everytime I phone. 2 weeks waiting list to see any Doctor so forced go to another clinic and pay double. This is thd 3rd time it's happened in a short period of time. I do not attend the clinic on a regular basis so this is rather disappointing, noted a lot of other people having the same issue.

Called them on Wednesday 11/5. Booked a phone appointment on next Friday 20/5. A Phone appointment! But that’s all right .It’s me choosing to go to my GP since she is familiar with my condition. And I am a guy with good patience. Even when two times I had been sitting in the clinic for 45 mins after my appointment time, I didn’t complain a thing. But after that appointment on Friday 20/5 my GP told me that she would let the receptionist send me a medical certificate by email which they didn’t. That’s over the line. Don’t reply me by telling me to provide feedback via email. This is a feedback and I want other people to see.

Rude receptionist. I was late 5 minutes for my appointment and receptionist told me I have to book for next week like my house is beside the clinic to come everyday. from my house to this clinic is 30 minutes driving and there is most of the time traffic, of course I will be late. Doctors are also trash in this clinic, only one of them is good. First trash doctors now trash receptionist, trash over trash. I don't know why I stayed in this clinic until now. They are so disappointing.

I phoned last week as my son was sick- no appts available. Then I took him to Bakersfield clinic, seen by GP and said to check with your GP next week. I called and today to book an appt this week no appt available until next week. Seriously, I transfer my records to another Practice now going to transfer my son and another family members. As there is no point if you are sick today and want to see the GP… not this time every time they don’t have any appt available. If you are thinking to register with botany junction I will say a BIG NO No…specially if you have a baby and young child.

We have been with this medical centre for almost 17 years and the last 3 years has been hell. Firstly, the doctors are always fully booked, so if you are really ill, no one cares. The advice is to go to emergency care. Wow, absolutely no personal touch here. You are just a number. This breaks my heart. Even if my child is ill, we can't get him to see his regular doctor who knows him. Where has the patient is human and comes first??? Is this just a money maker now? Totally devastated.

Called them today for a phone consultation. They called when I was on a call n within s span of a 4 min call I had 3 voice message. As if they called and called to attempt 3 tries. Called them back to ask if doctor can call me back, was told soon.. No call the whole day.

It is too difficult to book an appointment. I called on the 24th of October and got an appointment on the 3rd of November even though I said I could go to any clinic, see any doctor at any time. By the time I finally saw the doctor, my symptoms all disappeared. Although the doctor I saw was very nice. Today I tried to book an appointment for my husband, it is on 25/11, 16 days later. I really can't see the point to have a GP when I can't get any help when I need it.

Poor availability for doctors and nurses. Unaccommodating staff and doctors rush you through your appointments. This medical centre used to be excellent but since the change of ownership, it’s really gone down hill in every aspect of patient care in our experience. Would not recommend.

Wish I could give 0 stars. WORST CLINIC EVER. DO NOT GO HERE. You’ll be a brick in the wall. No one cares about your health at this clinic. Worst worst worssssst medical clinic I’ve ever been to. No one speaks English or knows what I am talking about when I go. They all are very rude and ignore you rather than providing good customer service. They take your money and give you paracetamol and charge you an arm and a leg. Their niche is of Asian descent so the receptionist don’t care about any other race but shows unprofessionalism by speaking in their Chinese language making others feel uncomfortable or even speaking in their own language to each other. Charging double appointments when requesting things from an initial appointment. Book multiple appointments for ongoing issues but no one seems to know what I’m talking about. This clinic is ridiculous. They are only here for people of their descent in the East Auckland area which is all asians. They are soooo rude and now charge a referral fee also. Most unreliable unpractical and rude clinic I have ever experienced. Will never recommend Ormiston Medical or Botany Junction Medical. Both have terrible services and long wait times for appointments. What is the point of a GP appointment when you feel unwel and want medication but have to wait 10 days or more for an appointment or else have to go a&e to provide let’s for work and pay extra. East Auckland health services are so appalling. This is by far the worst treatment I have gotten from a medical clinic. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE CHARGED RIDICLOUS AMOUNTS AND BE SCAMMED AND TELL TO BOOK MORE APPOINTMENTS. THESE ASIANS ARE TAKING OUR MONEY AND NOT CARING ABOUT OUR HEALTH BUT SCAMMING US IF ANYTHING!!!!!

Terrible service; if you want to see your GP, there is a wait of two months, or if you want to talk to someone over the phone, they are not available because they are fully booked. Please do not register with this practice

Hi Lucy, Thank you for your reply. I understand the value of nurses' roles in healthcare. But the fact remains that when people see the advertised registration fees which is $19.50 they will likely assume that a standard doctors visit with a nurse will cover that fee. If a family member asked me how much does BJM cost for a registered patient, I couldnt give an answer. I understand the $19.50 applies when you see the dr for 15 minutes. However the website should advertise clearly that its mandatory to see the nurse and they come with their separate fee so its technically $40 for your first visit only? I'm sure people are happy to pay $40 but it's a matter of principle. Imagine switching to a new doctor with the knowledge its 20 for your standard GP visit then being told it's now $40 for your appointment. This can be communicated better.

Good place to go to when have an appointment, however the care my family have received from some of the staff is average. I remember there was a young philipino lady who works here but we don't see her anymore (forgot the name but really lovely to talk to). My husband had a surgery and she and the doctor made us feel at ease and really cared for. Getting appointment is hard and always fully booked. This clinic has its good and bad days hence the neutral rating

Don’t even bother registering - even with their three ‘branches’, it simply means that’s three more refusals of an appointment when you need one. Take your chances with middlemore or Auckland Gen or self medicate with OTC medicines from your local pharmacy and save yourself the hassle trying to get an appointment. @General Manager To explain with an excuse of staff shortages - is a ‘you’ problem and speaks of you not being able to manage your issues with staff not turning up for work. Or are you not running a medical practice?? What had been offered /suggested to me, was to drive to the Highbrook practice, which as sick as I was I did do… only to get told they’re fully booked and were midst closing. I needed a doctor for probably less than 5mins to get a script and get gone. None of your practices could even offer a phone consult?? If you have actual qualified nurses at your practice please empower them and pay them accordingly so they can do the work in minutes, that your doctors take forever to do!

Felt very dismissed by my doctor and was prescribed the incorrect medicine. Went in for an urgent check up two weeks ago as this would be the only place that could squeeze me in short notice. Described all the symptoms I was feeling and gave a detailed account on my condition. My appointment overall felt very rushed and the doctor clearly wasn’t sure what medicine to prescribe. Picked up the medicine at the pharmacy next door and the head pharmacist was very confused as to why I was prescribed the given medication. None of which worked. I have since been to see a new doctor elsewhere that has treated my condition correctly. They too weren’t sure why I was given the medication I was given from here. Won’t be back.

Botany Junction medical staff are fantastic. I see two of the doctors in the clinic and I'm happy to switch between Highbrook and Botany to get the date and time I need. Also, if you use the online system to book and you are happy to have the first available doctor see you then you won't have an issue getting in to see a doctor in a short time frame. If you specifically want to see a certain doctor then you will need to wait several weeks. If you're very unwell phone the surgery and explain your symptoms - if they can they will book you in for the next day to see a doctor or suggest you go to an emergency department. You can also go in to your local pharmacist and ask them for advice - a lot of them are very well versed in basic medical care and often you don't need to see your doctor if it is a minor ailment. Also, if you proactively manage your health and get a regular annual checkup and covid/flu vaccines you are less likely to need to be seen immediately. The staff on the desk have always been very professional toward me and my family. I think they all do a terrific job under trying circumstances and we all need to be a little more understanding and tolerant.

Iam from a Pacifica background n knowing that Strep. Throats are highly common in pacific group no throat swab was taken. I get sore throat and inflamed tonsils almost every month but I do not go to see my GP because I know it is waste of my time. I asked the GP how many presentations will I have to make in order to have my tonsils removed and he tells me “you do not qualify your tonsils are too small” . Well one can clearly see how inflamed it is and I had taken some anti-inflammatory couple of days prior to the visit. Rather than answering my questions the Dr just dismissed them not even listening to what I was saying or asking in first place. He literally just saw me for 5minutes for which I paid $19.50 which is fine I do not mind paying but I need to be heard! And listened! Too and proper procedure needs to be followed.

Would like to do this review in behalf of my wife. She had seen Ann and was very happy with her lovely personality. The way she said it, she was relatable and funny yet professional. We don't get the bad reviews about this place. I think the staff are great and accommodating. Keep it up

Their is no 0. see new people on reception, the old staff mainly rude they think they ruled sitting behind the desk. Nurses hopeless all they say is you need to see the doctor even a simple question. A repeat script $27 even if its for one thing more than a consultation fee. Our name is here when we post, yet the "owner" hides their name. Going by the negative reviews nothing much seems to change.

I have never felt more taken care of and listened too by Dr Ahmed. That man is worth his weight in gold. Also the whole CS team are amazing and always are happy to help. Please pass this feedback on as I never do online reviews so this means a lot.

Poorly organized clinic. Mission to get appointments/treatments, barely follow up often having to chase them up. Would not recommend will be changing soon.

Disheartened by so many negative reviews of this clinic. I have been a patient of this clinic for more than 10 years and seen almost every doctor who are working here currently. All doctors and staff are caring and attentive but most of all working tirelessly to look after the community. I highly recommend you to register yourself here.

The worst medical centre I have ever seen. I was in an acute pain and i was told to go back home and wait for an appointment. Similar thing happened with my friend and my wife. Someone should fall sick as per their availability to see doctor else you may die of sickness

Never any appointments available which is terrible when you have sick kids. Honestly don't even bother signing up because every single time without fail there's never been an appointment available within a 2 week range. Absolutely shocking

You been trying to sort this for months but you don’t do anything you know what needs to be done Nurses say they will call and never do There isn't a minus rating so have to give them one star All my patient portal has been changed and is full of mistakes and they have taken away all my patient information, I'm on a recall for 2099 I will definitely not be alive by then. Mr F....i who does the patient portal has severly mucked this up not much is right now. Read what you put in its common sense for the average person There is never ever a follow up on Blood tests, hence I was admitted to hospital when a very serious was shown in standard tests came to light, the hospital asked to surgery to follow through, no such luck They say we are a busy surgery, they see patients take money then never ever follow through on blood tests, putting potential health risks left untreated

I have been with this surgery for years. So poor now. My last appoint 3 mths ago was cancelled twice and now at 4.30 on Friday, my Monday appoint was cancelled. I booked this appoint 27 days ago. The first I could get with my Dr. I have been able to get my prescribed medication. Thankfully I had a very understanding kind nurse on Fri. Could not say the same for the nurse who called me today. I was feeling very low on Fri. The nurse today really had no interest. Was told to get an appointment in a month. There are none Have contacted Dave Nicholls, manager. He just blames Govt and funding. No thoughts to the patients.

Regards to my health and wellbeing, I've been on a good wicket since 2009. I try to not abdicate responsibility and outsource such things. However, in my occasional dealings with BJM, I have always found them to be efficient and friendly. The ability to make online appointments is great- there's no unnecessary waiting. In particular, Dr Kareem is my go to- grateful for your advice and easy-going approach.

We’ve been told to book two appointments if we need the doctor to issue a referral letter for insurance purposes. We booked two appointments and paid, but the doctor refused to issue the letter cos she said don’t need to.
