    Massive store. Not much tool selection and nothing on display. Taken in store had all the dropsaw stands on display which is what you need to buy. At least 4 different ones. On the day I wanted to buy I went to Manakau mega as its a much larger store. Horrible experience. Not only did they only have one model it wasn't on display and the guy didn't know what they were. Was going to drive to Takanini to buy but popped into bunnings instead as it is next door. Wonderful selection, better price and more knowledgable staff, Bunnings will be my go to store from now on. Get it together Mitre Ten

    The worst service we have ever received at Mitre 10 Manukau. Staff (at lawn mower area) white guy yelling at a customer. He is very rude and racist, had two terrible experiences at this store. Spent a lot of money. We wanted to buy lawn trimmer, but he said you can go away from here and shouted on me as well. He needs some training in customer service. He told me you can buy oil mixer bottle from here but when i opened the box bottle was already inside. When i told him why you guys not respect others hard money then he said shut your mouth and go away from here. He said now i will make sure no one can sell this lawn trimmer to you. He is worst staff in Mitre 10 i have ever seen. I have complaint to manager as well. Manager and other girls staff at reception were very kind and humble. They tried their best to help me but this guy has zero customer service experience which i can say. Please dont go there to buy lawn mower with this guy. I bought it now from flatbush they are very humble and they will help you for assembling.

    brang my mower in that i just had for 4 months. they said itll have to b sent away 2 get repaired which will take at least a month but will likely take longer. they said people r still waiting 4 their stuff 2 b repaired from last yr & im posting this on the 19th of feb. thats ridiculous. also said u have 2 pay $50 (which u do get bak if they determine that it was a fault with the item & not u that broke it) if theyre gonna make u wait that long 4 a repair they should either lend u 1 or give u an exchange or refund. theres really no point in buying something under warranty then

    I wanted to buy everything I needed for a bathroom remodel (vanity, basin, tapware and mirrored vanity cupboard) and there was just nothing really to see on the floor. The kitchen area staff member eventually came over and helped me in the bathroom section but she consistently kept steering me towards the lower end models that weren't what I was after. I left with nothing which is so annoying because I came prepared to buy everything! I think this store is probably best if you're after 'a thing' and not 'everything'. Just my opinion but I won't be back to this site unless I need only a few bits and bobs.

    Visited during the first COVID-19 lockdown around March/April 2020 to purchase masks, the prices apart from that are fairly cheap probably to stay in competition with Bunnings Warehouse. It doesn't have as much items and building materials as Bunnings but if Bunnings doesn't have something the chance of finding it here is almost guaranteed. For tradies, there is a drive through into the woodwork and building materials foyer is to collect large items and heavy building materials.

    The girls at the Trade desk were simply awesome today. They went above and beyond to find me rondo clips that were urgently needed for my home renovation project. Can't thank you all enough for your persistence and awesome customer service. Superb!!!

    I'm a trade a/c holder only for this branch and this will always be my first port of call. Service here has always been flawless and today was no exception. On entry (trade section), I was greeted by Sean (a new employee) immediately, even though he was attending to another customer and told me he wouldn't be long.True to his word, I received prompt service thereafter. He went out of his way to attend to my needs,however,there were products I wanted that were 'out of stock'.This unfortunately, has been far too frequent in this store and I have had to either go to your opposition or to another branch.The decision to not stock pavers now is another disappointment. I would rate this store a 5 for service but only 3 for product availability.

    I Wish I had a option to give no star to their service. I bought a lawnmover 4 months ago and it suddenly stopped working and I toook it back to the store where one of the staff checked and found it’s faulty. They told me that they will be sending this to tge technician to check the issue. Few days after I got an call from one of their team member saying I need to pay $120.00 as they found a issue which isn’t part of the warranty, according to the repairer/ accessor lawnmower was tipped to the side. Which was not the case. Store manager then tried to convince me that I made the error and I tipped it to the side. Store manager mentioned on the call that When I returned the lawnmower I have signed the T&C at the counter agreeing to pay if the fault isn’t part of the warranty. I have gone back to store manager few times and asked him the copy of warranty card, copy of receipt including copy of signed document to their T&C. I chased up few times via email and I didn’t get any response so I called this morning. Site Manager was in meeting and he couldn’t talk. He called me back after sometime and mentioned as below. I have checked cctv footage and our staff has not printed the form and you have not signed. He also mentioned of retraining the staff which doesn’t solve my problem. * Staff didn’t give T&C forms to sign and rather then accepting their mistake still asking me to pay for the repairs and referring back to the warranty manual that it includes “ Do Not tip the lawnmower which I have not done. I will be reaching out to media on this, I will be also going ahead to complaint at Dispute Tribunal.

    I am a regular customer of Mitre 10 MEGA Manukau. Few days ago, I was looking to replace my shower tub wastewater outlet unit. My house was built in 2015 and an item was slightly outdated. I went few different bathroom fitting places and finally to Mitre 10 MEGA Manukau. Even they didn’t have the item I was looking for. The important thing is that I manage to talk to the gentleman by the name “Steve”. He took the picture from phone and went through the Google image search to find the supplier and contact details and all those information. How awesome customer service is that. I thank him on the spot for saying, “Very rarely any other customer service person would do what you have done”. Most of the management wouldn’t know how valuable these kinds of people and going un-notice unless we do our part by notifying them. These are the people should get the employee of the month or employee of the year award. Please give him something for the awesome job what he has done. He is very passionate about the job, and these people should be rewarded.

    I am able fully express how very good this store is. It has a huge variety but more than that.... The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, super professional and happy! Well done Mitre 10 Manukau, one of my favourite bloke shops to visit.

    Poor service of mitre 10. I have bought a lawnmower month ago and used just once and when i took it for second time it didn’t start then i took it back to mitre 10. They sent it to service centre and found it faulty and asking me to pay $150. When i asked what is fault and how it happened?why do i need to pay $150 even it in warranty? Customer service team didn’t have any answer. I’m keep calling from one week and they just keep getting my details and say someone will call you back but never heard anything from anyone.when i trying to reach then over and over again they always hang up my call. Now i wish i had bought it from Bunnings rather than Mitre 10. I highly recommend don’t go or buy from mitre 10 Manukau because of the very poor customer service.

    Total waste of time visiting at the weekend. I arrived, got a trolley load of stuff I needed and proceeded to the check out and asked to pay with Air NZ Airpoints dollars. The staff member told me to swipe my card, it kept declining, she told me I had to use another card. I said no, I want to pay by Airpoints dollars. Staff member calls someone more senior, she advises they dont take Air New Zealand Airpoints dollars anymore. I left the trolley load of stuff and went to Bunnings. I got home, checked the website, yes they do still take ANZ Airpoints dollars, its just that you have to purchase a Mitre 10 gift card and then pay that way.. .Perhaps do some training with the staff to prevent any further inconvenience for the customer..

    Very disappointed in the service provided and the quality of the products. Bought a nearly $200 gazebo that collapsed and was destroyed due to a light drizzle of rain less than 24 hours after it was put up. Took it back and was told by a very unhelpful duty manager Wayne that it is not a gazebo, despite being called a gazebo, it is really only a sun shelter and because a sticker inside a bag it comes with says it is not a permanent fixture he refused to exchange or refund it. Would not recommend them. Bunnings is next door and are far more friendly and helpful

    Good service however it would be nice to serve an order in sync rather one meal ready, I had to wait 5 min for sandwich I couldve made by my feet in a minute. My mates dish was cold as she felt rude eating while I'm waiting. So she started & finish, I end up just starting my meal to a point I stuffed in my mouth in one minute so we can go. Gosh I started with five stars, now as I'm in review I'm taking stars out.

    Had a really bad experience when hiring the rug doctor here, I didn't get an attachment which I paid for and then was basically accused of stealing it and had the security guy called on me because I asked for someone else to serve me, was told I had to go with the security guy to check the cameras in case I took the attachment? Checked the camera footage and sure enough I didn't take anything other than what I had said. The security guard was annoyed at the customer service person and apologetic to me as the attachment was clearly still hanging on the display. Never got an apology from this rude woman either, but did get apologies for the mix up and waste of time from almost every other customer service person there. I would give 1 star had it not been for the other team members here who righted the situation. Bad form.

    Team its time to change your advertisement multiple bad experiences. One of the shelf rods were missing, only found out after started assembling, my fault. Rang them to see if they could give the missing part so that donot have to dismantle and return the heavy item. But the supervisor wanted me to send an email stating the issue while I was on the phone. Getting too formal for such a thing. Emailed the customer care and after like 2 or 3 hours while returning the product the staff at the counter was " I was just about to call you"!!! So returned the product and got one from next door. One star just because there's no no star review.

    Trade section closed at 6pm not the 7pm advertised. A post on the door inside isnt really enough. Didnt help that we could have actually been in in time if they'd put the time notification outside we were there that close to 6pm. 6.05pm once we found someone to ask for assistance and explain.

    Came into this branch today. Had no choice as Bunnings had sold out what I needed. I was told this mitre 10 has a big shoplifting problem by their head office. So I do understand why you get an uneasy feeling when you come into this mitre 10. I think the security staff there need to actually stop making customers feel uneasy because they think or supsect you are shoplifting. It makes you feel so uneasy and frustrated that you are being classified as a shoplifter Then it makes you feel like all you want to do is buy what you need,pay for it and get out of there ASAP Maybe this branch should go over to Bunnings and see how they do things right there. Bunnings have a very polite person greeting you when come in. Self service paying and have staff checking your receipt when you leave. This method of store security is better than Mitre 10 manukau method Other branches of Mitre 10 are NOT like this Manukau branch Most of the other branches have real good friendly staff that know their job and products ,plenty of stock and you can relax and shop in safe relaxed environment I think this manukau branch does not like any criticism about their over eager security staff and what they do to their customers. No one likes to be suspected of shoplifting when you are not

    Great service ESPECIALLY from a lady in the wood section and the guy that collected our wood, cut it for us and helped us take it to the car on Sunday 9 July 2023 around 1:30pm ish. The 15% price promise is awesome as well as inwas able to buy everything from M10 instead of both M10 and Bunnings and one that was cheaper online at bunnings actually scanned in cheaper at M10 so overall extremely chuffed with this store! If those 2 wonderful staff members in the wood section see this THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SERVICE AND HELP! We had a sour experience last time we went here with a supposed manager who knows nothing about customer service but you 2 guys have changed our minds and we will be back.

    1st time going to this store as my closest and regular store was out if stock. I was super impressed with the layout and range of stock they had. Friendly staff too, I needed help lifting bags of sand and without even having to ask a female member of staff offered to help. Definitely worth the extra 4km to go back to the manukau store over my closest.

    As usual with hardware stores these days ( I worked in them for 15 years ) I had to explain what I wanted where it was and why they don't need to sell me stuff. They got the hunt pretty quick and got my stuff and I was in my way.

    Their selection of fasteners and clips for automotive is better than Repco and Supercheap! Great alternative if the fastener shop is closed. Also got the correct bolts to mount a 65" OLED that no one else had

    Always clean and tidy in the shoe. Easy to navigate a wheelchair around the place. Staff are super helpful and nice. Cafe is OK, could be better, prices a bit high in contrast to the food quality. Alot of microwave reheats, I think, but my elderly mum likes going there. Coffee is pretty good though.

    I purchased a toilet and bathroom tap from here but ended up returning them as the plumber doing the job for us said they were wrong. I took them back on a Wednesday around 2:30pm, i had the receipt and all the proof of purchases only to be told that the plumbing expert was on his break. While waiting for the expert the lady that was serving me said they couldn't refund the bathroom tap as the box had been opened but i said to them "that's because the plumber needed to see if the fittings were correct which they weren't", they still refused to refund it. After about 20 minutes the plumbing expert arrived and said they can refund the toilet as the box hadn't been opened but he did check the box with the tap and said everything was there and ok to refund. They went to process the refund then i was told that they can only refund on the card that was used to purchase it, which was my wife's card who was at work. I went back the next day at 4:00pm with the right card and was told again that the plumbing expert needed to check everything but he was on his break again (talk about a sweet job just taking breaks all day long). He came down and went through everything again and said it was ok to refund everything. I had all the proof of purchases on me so why did it have to be such a mission to get a refund?????.
