It's a nice walk around so close to the city. The animals are cute and friendly and it's great that they have the large handwashing station by the toilets. Make sure you don't wear good footwear as there's lots of poo everywhere, even on the walking paths.

What a lovely farm and I love the open concept of it. Multiple cute signs saying to have a free wander but remember to close the gates behind you Fascinating experience and I’d highly encourage it for adults too. Really, it isn’t just for children! Hats off to the wonderful farm employees (of which we actually saw zero that day haha and had free reign because there were barely any other patrons too) and also to the local council for having this farm open to the public I enjoyed playing with the curious lambs who came bounding to the fence to check us out. The trail along the edge of the waterfront was beautiful too. If you’re at the AKL airport and have a few hours to kill - do what we did and come here!

Kids enjoyed walking along the tracks and petting a lot of the animals. We were even lucky enough to feed the lambs. So cool the kids can experience some farm life fun.

Ambury farm is definitely worth a trip for kids 8 years and under. It is a working farm with free public access. You are allowed to interact with all animals.. kids live it. For adults or families with older kids are great flat mountain biking trails out to the sea/Harbour Great day out in Auckland!!

Great place for kids and adults. Love the pro-wandering aspect so you can have your own little adventure on the farm. I can imagine it gets busy but a winter weekday gave us an A+ time. We will be back again and again

Very nice farm for spending time with the families. Situated beside the bank of river. Walking tracks are good for walking, running and cycling exercise experience. In the farm you can see NZ animals like Chicken, lambs, cows, pigs, horses, peacock etc. They are so beautiful. You can have a animal feeding experience over there. There are some public toilet facilities for men and women. Recommended for friends and family for daytime site visit or camping.

It was a great excursion, the animal farmlet so professionally organized, groups of school children alongside parents and families enjoying the experience of the animals so readily available and seen by all. We, as a walking group, enjoyed walking through the park, a little disappointed we were unable to walk to the lake (due to renovations?). It was a great day all the same.

There’s lots of animals to peacocks are amazing. Peacock was amazing. Lots of kid friendly spots / seats & tables for eating. Clysdales are huge! Bigger in person than we thought. All the animals are very friendly. I’s pretty cool to be able to walk in amongst the animals. its free.

Although we had paid for a booking at this place and since we were arriving in a storm at 7 pm found the gate closed and the code she gave us did not work. We called up the DOC and the lady said she will come and was kind enough to open the gate with a key. Told us they lock the fat at 6 pm!! We were here in 2017 and stayed on our arrival and departure from Auckland airport as it’s the closest and safest site to stay. But our thanks really go out to the nice lady who drove up and opened the door for us as we had two small babies in the van

It is a perfect and cosy place for a picnic with friends, with an excellent grass field and walk track.
