    Came in here 23rd July with my two brothers and was surprised by how we were treated by the workers here two men followed us everywhere one stood at the end of aisle and the other guy followed us around almost watched everything we were doing and then another worker comes up and basically told us to hurry up as they were closing. Just because we are young guys in our 20s (islanders) we felt this is why we got treated like this almost making us feel very uncomfortable to shop here. We ended up grabbing an item that we didn’t need as we felt very uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of there. We will never be going back!

    This is always a popular place for local to shop especially Saturday and Sunday. The place is always well stocked. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The place is big. I always need to find a staff to help me to locate the item. I do miss the Columbus cafe inside the shop. I used to be able to take my family to go there for brunch. However, due to store renovation, there can only serve coffees.

    Unpleasant customer experience- tried to make a return on item that cracked after second use but Manager Sam acted as if we were delusional for taking it back and accused us of rough behaviour. Would not listen to my reasoning and had a bad condescending attitude towards us. I would have appreciated it more if he had listened and then politely explained why they couldn't refund or exchange the item, instead of him trying to accuse us of rough behaviour and acting as if we were delusional. The conversation just went in circles until I said "so you can't do anything?" and even then he cared more about trying to justify how good and sturdy the product was, telling us to buy a more expensive one. Best he could offer was new one at half price but after spending $59 for 2 uses of the original, I felt it wasn't worth it.

    Worst customer service experience have had in the afternoon on 23 April, 2023. I was overcharged for the product I purchased.When I took the product and receipt to the customer service counter, the lady checked and said it was correct with bad attitude. I have to use my phone calculated it again and showed her that was incorrect. She knew it was not correct then but she did not say any sorry and said I maybe removed from the store. She made refund finally. I have never heard a customer service staff said that to a customer when the store made mistakes and even she did not say anything to apologize from beginning to the end. Bad attitude not worth one star. I have noticed some other customers experienced bad service here before. I think the management should do something to improve it.

    When to Mitre 10 today to pick up a special trade order. I went to the Trade department and no one was there, finally an Indian gentleman wearing a baseball cap came over and saw I was holding a receipt and rudely barked at me to go to customer service. I stated I just wanted to check if my order was in (as the Trade department never called me). He snatched the receipt out of my hand looked at it for half a second and gave it back to me and yelled at me to go to customer service. I went to customer service and the lady there was lovely and looked up my order and went to the trades department to sort it for me. She came back and said it was there and that I could go and pick it up. When I got back to the trades department there was no one there again and another staff member saw me standing there and yelled out to his rude colleague and pointed at me. The rude guy came around the corner took one look at me and just pointed to where my purchased item was waiting on the ground and walked away ignoring me. Terrible customer service in the Trades department. I think I'll take my business to Bunnings from now on, they have better prices anyway.

    Beautiful space, especially the cafe looking out into the plant/garden area. First visit to this branch, but will never be back due to the clueless and rude customer service. Staff are either chatting amongst themselves or walking around in a hurry. Explanations about where to locate my desired item was rude and rushed, and my partner asked another employee who stared blankly at her while touching items on the shelf. Then I witnessed another customer ask something to an employee who kept walking without even stopping. And your automated responses addressing the reviews says a lot about your company.

    Very terrible customer service at this store. One man out of 10 staff members actually helped me find what I was after, the other few just stood around staring. Were they all hired on compassionate grounds, or what? Never again.

    Excellent customer service extremely helpful staff. The staff always been knowledgeable about what they are selling. There has always been plenty of parking. Even on those days even you make a trip, get home, & realise you forgot that one thing, I’ve never felt bad about popping down. Always do pay wave using my watch and yummy sausage sizzles after that. What more could you ask for.

    I had a deeply unsettling experience during my time as an employee here. It was disheartening to witness older male staff consistently engaging in inappropriate behaviour, particularly towards young girls, and engaging in racial profiling of customers. These problems have persisted for years, and you can see evidence of this in previous reviews, all answered with an auto-reply. What made this situation even more distressing was the complete lack of action from management. Despite multiple complaints, no real efforts were made to address or rectify these serious issues. I would recommend potential employees carefully consider their options before joining this company.

    I went in to get a piece of plywood knowing that if it didn't fit in my car I would get it cut as per the services portion of the web site, it didn't fit in the car but when i approached a staff member to get it cut he says "oh no we don't do that anymore I've been here for two months and we haven't done it in that time". But it's still advertised as a service on their web site!

    I bought makita drill set this June but hammer drill made problems like easy heating, heavy sparking, stop and smoking. I wanted to refund it but they said that It have to send it to makita to know if it has problems. After 2 weeks, It returned with reparing. I was so angry because I don't want to repair it. The manager told me that he will contact to makita for refund and text me back for result. He did not any reply for 2 weeks. Finally, I went to this shop and took it but they told me that it make problems again it can be refund. So today Happened again. I attached a picture making stop and smoking. It is same problem with last one. Please don't make angry anymore. What you gonna do?

    Mitre10 have stepped up significantly with range of goods and finally started dropping their traditionally over pricing of said goods. Was pleasantly surprised considering how much I spend at Bunnings. Let's hope it continues!

    We visited last week hence the original review below and gave 3 star rating Went back today . And boy what a difference. Customer Service far far better. You have an amazing guy by the name of Dave . He's so good at helping multi customers , polite ,genuine ,honest and extremely knowledgeable. We appreciated all his help ! He is so worthy of being acknowledged by your company. We will be back to seek his advice again. Am pleased you took our feedback on board 😀 I felt it should be a 2.5 rating. Today we came to buy vege plants for the garden. Great options and price. You had about 8 staff in your garden area. However not 1 staff member acknowledged us and we walked past four. I watched 2 in the office in the middle just hang out and laugh. No one cared about who was shopping. Was disappointed to be honest. The only person who had any great customer service skills was on checkout. But only when we approcahed. Bunnings offer far better customer service. Mitre 10 you need to pick up the customer service side of things .

    Went into the store today to grab a few items, as it was to hot to keep my little dog in the car, put him in the trolley and wheeled him in, got to the garden section and was told to leave the store by the security guard, which he followed me all the way to checkouts as if I was some sort of criminal. I turned around and told the security guard “would you sit in the car on hot day” had nothing to say. I won’t be coming back to this store in particular. They need to change their dog policy?! Will be going to Bunnings where they don’t ask and follow you around the store when you bring a dog inside. I didn’t even get to finish my shop. Absolutely disgusted with how some of the staff treated me.

    Had to collect a pre-purchased item from customer service. Was taking longer than expected which is totally fine. Said I was getting my dog from the car as a man walked straight in with his dog and I didn’t want my dog to sit in the car any longer then was told at the door my dog can’t come in. I asked why can that other man’s dog come in and was told some dogs are allowed. My dog is a puppy that wasn’t going to be put on the floor. If you’re going to make a rule make it for everyone.

    Okay so just phoned. First phone call I spoke to a lady who said that she has a phone issue where she can't hear what people are saying on the phone so hangs up on people instead of fixing the issue. Next phone call another lady had no idea what i was talking about but her colleague then said the answer straight away which was great but then hung up while I was saying thank you? So maybe customer service over the phone needs to improve. The store itself is fine though

    Not happy that I could order 4x an item and pay for them, when the store didn't actually have them in stock. I had checked the shelves the day before, therefore I knew there was no stock in lunn avenue but the system allowed the order to be transacted and I presumed that because the system accepted the order, you would be getting it in for me from another store. So now my $450 can't be refunded until accounts people are back on deck on Monday and I think all this stinks. I have to wait 5 days for that much money to be returned to me when it's purely your system failure. Need to get your act together. Customer loses. Not good policy.

    Second time shopping here doing click and collect and I was astonished how there is still no staff or security looking after the click and collect station. Waited for a couple of minutes and decided to just grab my order and drive off. A staff saw me when I grab my last order but didn't bother asking if it's my order or if someone is assisting me. Few hours after I left, I got a call from the customer service asking if I took my order I said yes cause no one is there to assist me. Got told off to wait for a staff to assist me before grabbing my order. I told her I waited for a couple of minutes already and no one is bothered to help me. People do click and collect to save time shopping but waiting for a staff to assist you is not saving time.

    Went to Columbus for breakfast band coffee. Always quick service and good food options. And staff are most obliging/ most important. Love all the outdoor plants- many choices especially now in late Autumn.

    In general very good. Buy here very often. Prices are good compared to others. Recently I realised new staff are very helpful and most senior staff are great advisors At the counter most mostly great . I usually forget my points card for travel but some staff used my mobile to try to add my points and don’t lose it (very kind of them. I understand not possible when busy) Would give 5* except for the day I needed some painting and had to wait more than 20 min to get the attention of the person in that section. He saw me but seems he was not in a rush to advice another client. 🤷🏻‍♂️maybe just casual.

    I live around and this shop had been my DIY supplier for years, including house do up project. The experience was good until 2020. Because of covid, my wife and I came to buy masks. There was purchase limit for P2 masks. Therefore, after putting the limited number of P2 into shopping baskets, we had a thorough check along the shelf for other options. After a few minutes, a Chinese shop assistant who normally wanders around the hardware/nail/screw aisles, suddenly rushed over and yielded to us very loudly: are you guys thinking about stealing the P2 masks (in Cantonese)!!!? We were dumbfounded because never had been treated in that way. Such accusation was simply based on illusion and it was really rude, unprofessional, and inappropriate. I guessed she might mis-recognized us as someone else, but even so, she could have reminded in a normal way other than escalating. After that incident, I avoided going to the shop.

    Very good, I called to know about product, I got good info to take decision, then I went to store, very helpfull staff. They gave me correct info about product, whatever he did not know, he referred to brochure and advised me. The product itself is very satisfactory. 5 star for sure from phone call to use of product at home. Keep it up guys solid work.

    Just want to give a shout out to the Malaysian paint assistant in the paints department - wasn't 100% sure how I'd tackle painting over my wallpaper in bedrooms and he was super helpful and friendly, with very clear communication and never make you feel rushed, even when things are busy he is able to juggle multiple customers at once to set their expectations. Left feeling much more confident to tackle the job as its much more reassuring to get advice from a real painter than YouTube videos!
