Had birthday dinner in this place last week. Staff are all friendly and attentive. We loved the formaggio pizza, penne volare and breaded chicken. Fettucine al pollo is a little bland to me, but the chicken was cooked to perfection! All in all it was a good experience.

Awesome food and hospitality.. very friendly staff..the manager/owner knows what hospitality is all about..Gem of south Auckland.. loved it and definitely will visit again and again!!

It's been a while since the last visit, the decor has not changed much and the service and food remain the same, absolutely wonderful !. Had a hard choice in making our selection for both Entree and Mains, and were not disappointed in either. The service is prompt and efficient, the staff checked our feedback regularly during the evening and quietly topped up the water discreetly. If you enjoy Italian food & pizza and have not been here yet, why not ;-)

Food was superb, I love their pizza, staff & service was even better - fast and courteous. Ambiance is casual, it's located in a quiet community yet it was packed (book a table ahead). Price is moderate. It was my first, but definitely not my last. Buon appetito !

Upon entry we were greeted, by the manager, Eddy who was welcoming and friendly and quickly escorted to our table upstairs. The wait staff were just lovely. They introduced themselves to us by name and were very professional, attentative, friendly and relaxed enough to enjoy a joke with us. Our meal was delicious and upon leaving the chef greeted me and asked how our meal was. A nice touch I thought. We will certainly be back again to this fabulous family owned restaurant which has been around for more than 20 years!

We had such amazing service, food and drinks this evening for my mother-in-laws birthday. Kitchen was supplying speedy food. Food was tasty, but the superstar wait-staff definitely were the highlight. At the end wait-staff even sang happy birthday for our table which made our evening.

Came here last Saturday night and the restaurant was packed and super busy but we still got amazing service, food came quickly from the kitchen and was sooo delicious as usual and we even ordered dessert and it came out so fast. The waitress still made time to check on us multiple times, it was the best experience ever. Thank you so much!

Very delicious dishes. Plenty of choices. Portion size are really satisfying. Special recommendations are constantly changing. Good environment and choice of background music. A good place for family and friends gathering! 👍

My family and I really enjoyed my dinner here tonight for my birthday. The gnocci was amazing, the bruschetta was delish! My nan really enjoyed her shrimp cocktail. The lamb was totally different to what i expected when it came out but it was very tasty and I loved it. Chocolate fondant was to die for!!! My kids loved their pizzas. Everything we had ordered was just delicious 😋 😌 also the service was spot on. 👌 will definitely be back for some pasta dishes. 😋

Good food & lovely atmosphere. Excellent service. We really enjoyed the dessert. Very friendly & helpful staff. Could do with some background music and bit pricey.

The Waitress we had was Taryn, great staff, extremely bubbly and outgoing, she lifted the whole mood, food was incredible too. She even wrote a note on our pizza pox. definitely recommend coming here again

Have literally just left after eating here. Oh boi the food be so damn delicious. I cleaned out my plate and wife’s plate. Wait staff was very kind and awesome. Food perfection, chilled atmosphere and perfect location for a night of good food. I would say this is one of the best hidden gem in South Auckland by far.

The food is not great for the price. Personal opinion you will find better options. Requested if we could sit upstairs the staff didn’t seem happy (made faces looking at each other) as they would had to climb up and down to serve.

We have always enjoyed dining at Volare and have had great food and service each time. Our daughter is about to celebrate another birthday so we decided to shout her a night out with her partner as her gift. As we live in the South Island now, we sent an email asking if possible to get a gift voucher. Eddy phoned us back almost immediately(on Monday their day off) and advised he was happy to help. He arranged for a staff member to deliver the voucher to our daughter as and when he said he would. He made to whole process easy and I'm sure a very happy daughter. Thank you Eddy and the staff member who delivered the voucher on her way home. Going the extra mile!! We look forward to hearing from our daughter enjoys her evening. We also will be dining at Volare next time we are in Auckland so we can thank Eddy and staff in person.

I had the best fish dish (John Dory) in Auckland from here and their customer service was top notch. Very attentive and accomodating, will definitely return!

We had a Birthday party for 20 people and everyone was really impressed and loved it. The staff well presented. The food was delicious, service friendly and professional. We were offered the upstairs room at the time of booking and it was cosy and private. To start with, we miscalculated the number of guests, but staff sorted it in no time with a smile. They had been thoughtful about some small things, which turned to be wise, like they offered to take orders for the kids earlier, than for adults, and delivered them promptly. I was wondering, how many times the girls ran up and down, but the smile was always there and they couldn't be any more helpful. The food was superb - be it entrée, main or dessert. Sizes generous too. Free parking next to the entrance a bonus. Definitely will be back.

We were recommended by our Airbnb host. The food was delicious and service was impeccable. The food was delivered incredibly quickly and we dined both Friday and Saturday nights. Definitely coming back. The staff looked really relaxed and happy to work here!

Wonderful service. The waitress was so hospitable and friendly. This makes the difference in any restaurant. Had dinner at this restaurant on Friday night (21/4). I ordered the salmon pizza and my Mum ordered the calzone. The portion sizes are great and homemade. The only thing I’d suggest is more salt or zest to the pizzas. They just lacked that extra flavour hit! We would return.

We had an amazing family dinner at Volare! The food was absolute delicious, the feedback from the table was that the portions were a great size and everything looked as good as it tasted. It was the perfect way to celebrate a 65th Birthday! We also recently celebrated another birthday in the family, just like before the food was as delicious as ever! Volare has always been our families go to restaurant to celebrate family birthdays and successes. we can’t recommend enough!

Nice local Italian eatery. Cosy atmosphere. All the food were decent but for the high price I expected better.

It has been over a year since our last visit, 4 friends got together for fine wine, food, atmosphere, excellent service and conversation. It is nice to know that this little gem still shines brightly. Well worth the trip.

Amazing food and service. Excellent variety on the menu and beautiful presentation. Really good communication even if you make contact online. Have been more than once and will be going back. All our table were very impressed. AND really appreciated being able to split the bill at the end of the evening - very accommodating. Thank-You.

We showed up at opening time, to eat here first time. Only to be told we needed to "book first" and they "were fully booked". We genuinely did not know. However he was in no means obliged to, but Eddie made an exception to squeeze us in an "open but limited window". We had a great meal none the less, the environment was quite nice, and the service attendees were well at hand to check on us if our meals were to our satisfaction. Next time, we know now to "book in advance." So thank you very much Eddie. Eddie was no nonsense, straight up, to the point and an accommodating host.

Hey! Visiting from Canada, this was our big date night out after a month in a campervan all over Newzealand the day before we fly home. We booked a reservation days in advance. Amazing food! We ordered bruschetta to start, then I ordered the gnocchi as a main, and my husband got the lasagna. We also got the tiramisu and fondant cake for dessert. The tiramisu was light and delicious! The only downside to our date night here was being placed on their second floor, at the back. It felt like we were in a closet. The owner or one of the employees (I think it was Op?) had an 80th birthday that they had everyone sing happy birthday for, but we were the only ones upstairs and felt so left out :(. We both got all dressed up too but we were up top alone with no view (next to a wall) Even the ceiling was too low for my husband to set next to it. I wish we were on the main floor, it was a huge disappointment for me.

Really enjoyed the food, would have been a 5/5 if the pasta was handmade. The prices were reasonable, service fast. The wait staff were attentive, helpful and kind. We took a 1 year old and they were also super helpful with a highchair - I do recommend booking this when you book though as it seemed to be hot property.

Went Friday night and had an excellent experience. The lady serving our table outside was an absolute pleasure and the food was perfect.
