Stunning rose garden. Bring a picnic blanket. The palm tree section is too close to the motorway but otherwise a very serene botanical gardens! Definitely explore the African section too, before you wander off too far.

Very tasty fancy breakfast. Very! The gardens, oh, it is amazing. You can find a lot of quiet places to sit and enjoy view, you can feed ducks and sparrows, enjoy the garden of stones, roses, alley, and magnolia and camellia forest.' Find a parking place not easy, but worth it. Very interesting garden with edible plants. Kids are happy to learn something new from this place. Recommend this place for long, relaxing walks, stunning views, and beautiful work all peoples who are involved in those gardens.

Very wonderful place for a walk or picnic. Timely attractions like sculptures in the park these days showcase the talents of the artists. Very well planned and presented. The gardens are fabulous.

Took my dog for a day of exercise. She had a blast! We went up into the woods which required she be back on leash but that was also enjoyable. Walking through the gardens with my dog on leash was a wonderful day.

Great place to take your dogs and young kids on bikes. Plenty of space, with wide paths for people to walk. Seating is also available if you want to take in the surroundings. If you like, afterwards you can walk into the rear entry of the botanical gardens. Make sure you put your pup on leash at this point. The street parking can be a challenge when its a nice day outside, as everyone will have the same idea as you!

Come here to bring the dog for a walk and run around the park with other dogs. Massive space and awesome views of nature. Nice way to enjoy a quick stroll.

Great place to learn and have fun together as a family. What's disappointing is that the signs have gone old and needs new labels. Several sections of the garden is still under work because of ageing. In spite of all this, it is still worth visiting. No entry fee. Nice cafe.

Only place in Auckland where you have a large off leash area for your dogs, very quiet place in weekday afternoons, weekends there's so many others with dogs, especially big dogs, aggressive dogs. Please don't litter on this place. Bring dog poop bags if you're about to visit. Thanks

My dog loves coming here, only been here recently (winter), very little muddy spots, unless dog gets into the pond areas, but other than that, lots of places for doggo to run and play. Some tall grass under the trees also allows for cool running spots, while there is plenty of space to play fetch. Haven't had any bad dog experience, most dogs and people are really great here.
