Amazing grooming service! Don't miss the extremely nice groomer Jingjing, she's very patient, listened carefully to our requirements, and gave my puppy a perfect grooming.

Helpful staff. Knowledgeable but not pushy. Listen to what was required & gave advice freely.

Worst grooming service. My puppy ended up with an infection because of such close shave in their private part. Lucky my vet picked it up when we took our pup for vaccine. The Asian couple at the groomers there weren’t ready to listen to what I wanted but I disregarded it thinking they are professionals and knew better. Never going again.

Our cat Baxter was in so much pain so we rushed him up to animates yesterday as it was just around the corner from us. However we weren't registered so were sent on our way from heartless staff. Took him to pakuranga vets who were just incredible and we sadly had to get him put down.

I have found Animates Botany Downs to be a perfect pet paradise for all owners. Store is well laid out with good stocks easy to find, staff is friendly, Vetcare is kind and attentive and the grooming is of a high quality. Recommend!

Today, I met Nadine. It was her first day with Animates at Botany. Upon meeting, I announced I'd bought a puppy and needed everything. A retail salesperson's dream! Nadine spent at least an hour with me, sharing her knowledge and own experiences, providing me with reassurance and confidence. It was such a pleasure to be served with such enthusiasm from her and her colleagues who also jumped into assist. Always great service here. Exceptionally impressed by the knowledge and customer service that Zahara just gave me. I have a high-drive hypersocial 20mnth old dog and I have spent hours upon hours listening to podcasts and training him since 8 weeks old. In just 10 minutes Zahara effectively recommended appropriate toys, ideas and other knowledge to me. I was already in the know due to the amount of research I have done (eek!) but she would be absolute GOLD to anyone struggling with managing any boisterous, hyperactive dog! The staff here also managed to have my over-friendly boy calmly accept a treat from them today 😊 Thank you!

Our dog got kennel cough after coming back from the groomers, they also clipped his private parts too close causing an infection as the tools cut him! When I booked this in originally they told me I had a discount voucher I could use ( part of the reason I chose to have the service). Unfortunately our dog is now quite sick and we’ve had to take him to the vets for his kennel cough ! Not coming back here for a groom and customer service needs an improvement!!!

Extremely nice and friendly groomer called Jing Jing, very high techniques and experiences. Listened to our requirements on grooming my dog Buddy, and she was really patient as well.

The staff here are always helpful. We often go here for the DIY dog wash which is great, but there is often a line. Not too long, up to a 20 minute wait.

Visited the vet who was great friendly, engaging, caring and very helpful. Definately will be back.

Quite a large pet shop with lots of things for all types of pets including live insects. They also offer grooming. I just stopped by to have a look around.

My partner and I go to animates botany downs regularly and I’ve always had such an awesome experience with them! The team is super lovely, helpful and easy to talk too. My click and collect order is always ready the same day, and usually always get good discounts on stuff that I buy. Also have a really wide range of stuff too. Definitely recommend!!

The Animates Botany Vet Nurse was fantastic help and gave real practical advice. She’s the reason we came back this week to have our cat seen by the Vet. Sadly our cat has a tumour and the conversation had to be about end of life options, but the Vet was so good and practical and thoughtful of our situation and especially of our cat. I highly recommend everyone there.

Quick, easy purchase of my cat's vet script food. Not sure if frequent feeder means I buy that product all the time but was very happy to get a discount.

Love the DIY dog bath. There were queues for two tubs. But easy to use with plenty space. The dog proof gate was the nice touch.

Awesome dog was, unlimited use for $99 per year is cheaper than buying shampoo. We take out dog there every weekend after going to the beach.

We're lucky because the local Animates has some good staff. When combined withe with the variety of stock and an on-site vet service, this is pretty good

Our dog is very nervous about getting her nails clipped especially after having her quick cut (not in Animates). She initially didn’t want to go in to the grooming area but the groomer said we could also come in. She clipped them all super quick and seemed really comfortable clipping black claws without getting the quick. Really impressed!

Animates Botany are incredible. Cannot rate their service highly enough. Every single time I've gone in there (which is a lot) they are friendly, helpful and so knowledgeable. I always leave feeling like I've learnt something (even training tips). Marc helped me today and gave so much of his time and really cared with an issue we have with our Puppy! I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Would never go back to the store or trust the Brand. Was advised about a chewy toy for my small dog, on using it it picks carpet fibers and hair and mud when my baby plays with it!! Had to keep pulling it all out of his mouth. Asked what I could do about it and they said nothing cause it's been used. How would I know the problem if it hadn't been used?? They okay with my pet having issues due to the product but say its not product error!!!!!HORRIBLE SERVICE FOR PET LOVERS
