This place is a testament to the condition of healthcare in NZ. I understand you have staff shortages and closing earlier however I was there with my 18 month old with a fever above 40°c a good 35 minutes prior but was told to take her elsewhere, with only 1 patient ahead of us. 0 points for humanity and care. The administration and function of this clinic needs to be audited immediately as all I see is cracks wider than any crater on the moon and the people who pay for it are ones coming with the hope of being seen by a doctor or even triage by a nurse at the minimum.

Very rude receptionist, transferred to them because they are the nearest GP and urgent care to us but receptionist was worst! Very arrogant, don’t smile, the tone of voice is not good and the how she handle my concerns. We enrolled to them a few months ago and my previous GP confirmed to us that our records was already transferred to them but when we go there for a check up they ask us to pay for our 5year old son because we are still casual??? So I ask her what happened to our enrolment form months ago and our previous GP confirmed to us that they transferred our records to them. She didn’t reply at all but instead printed our 2020 record when we are still casual and went there for urgent care. Instead of helping us and sort things out she just ignored us and said to us, you sort things out.. I mean whatttt??? You lost our enrolment form then you want me to sort things out?? I was just being calm and being patient but that kind of service is no good! All we need is a proper explanation of what happened to our enrolment to them but instead of helping us she just printed our previous record last 2020 as casual instead of asking us to fill out another form which we are more happy to do so even if we did it a couple of times already and assure us that this time it will be in there system so next time we come we won’t be having that problem. But no! she acted arrogant instead! After that I wanted to write a review and was shock when I read all other reviews to them. I am not the only one who experience it. But on the positive note nurse and doctors who check my son are really really nice. Just disappointed with the receptionist.

Wouldn’t waste your time here, nurses are nice, wait time exceptable but the doctors? Pretty useless, would ask another question without even listening to the first answer, then told me I was not having symptoms I’d described, after just explaining how I was feeling. Felt like I was on a timeline getting shoved out a quick as possible. Should be really call yourself a doctors if you cant provide an actual doctor who can do their job. Also have been since diagnosed properly by a real doctor, and feel much better. A concern, I’m sure that was weighing on his mind 🙄

Absolutely terrible service. Reception terrible. No manners. No smiles. They make you feel as if you are a burden. I would give no stars if I could. Doctor was of no help at all. After a 2 hour wait she was rushing me out of the door. Did not listen to any of my concerns. Did not do anything about my concerns. Was not interested in helping. I get it - it's covid. They were understaffed. I would have rather they said they werent able to accommodate - that way I would have gone to Shore Care or another urgent GP, than provide me with this treatment which left me feeling worse than when I came in. The nurse I saw provided me with more help and information than the doctor.

Went there for after hours care. Nurse Michelle was fantastic and thorough, providing a follow up phone call the next day. The doctor was very thorough and great with sick children. The only down side was the attitude of the receptionist, she clearly didn't want to be working.

The receptionists are always rude to us. The only times we receive good treatment is when we see the doctors in urgent care. The GP doctors are always in a hurry even if they make you wait 45 mins for a booked appointment. They ask you to get another appointment if we have more health concerns. Another issue is that they never pick up the phone! Whenever we need a GP appointment we have to call them and we give up after being on the line for over half an hour with no one answering the phone. There is no way you can get an appointment if you need one urgently because they never pick up the phone!

Absolutely APPALLING service from the young brunette receptionist in her hoody tonight. Extremely rude tone of voice. They all clearly wanted to go home and don’t enjoy their jobs. Lights were out during opening hours. Petty attitude and smart comments made by the doctor Lisa as well. This is NOT how you treat clients at all. Disgusting behavior. But one positive didn’t wait the usual 3 hours.

Just got seen by a very rude Dr, Dr Cleland who didn't even assess me at all. I felt dismissed and unheard I'm going through a distressing situation & I've been in pain as a healthcare professional I didn't feel heard at all. Everytime I'd bring up a suggestion she'd ignore & seemed angry, I'm not one to complain, this is my first ever complaint. I've been attending whitecross ever since I was a child & have had great Drs like Dr Eddie but today I'm going home still distressed.

I feel like the male asian looking receptionist needs training on how to deal with clients. Felt like he doesn't love his job and he just hated it whenever you ask or approach him even if you ask him nicely. The female xray tech is quite rude as well. Other receptionist were very welcoming to approach with.

Rang asking for an appointment. They said that I could not see the doctor til the 23 Nov... That's 13 more days. I said you understand stand I have not had any of my meds for 4 to 6 weeks. She said you can book an urgent appointment... We can see if the doctor can give a short script until the 23rd November. I am diabetic. I thought going to the whitecross would be a good thing but they are going to cause me to go into a coma. They are not worth the $50.

Terrible reception staff when it comes to passing on important messages. What's more shocking when you leave several voice messages as well as actually speak with 3 different staff members. Worse the original reception lady who I spoke with on Thursday 21st July 2022 lied as she called back on Mon and said she never got any messages then said it only came on weekend. I called Thurs and Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. The same lady I spoke with on Thursday who called me on Monday after I called the chemist lied and blamed her colleagues. So not only did forget to pass on the original message but she lied about when the messages were sent and received and then threw her colleagues under the bus. Appalling. I feel sorry for the patients and her workmates.

My experience with all the drs & nurses have been nothing but friendly and professional. I’ve been going for 10+yrs as a GP patient. Great I can go weekends in a&e too. Price is very reasonable compared to others. They have helped me through some tough times and showed nothing but kindness. They have a great mental health program for GP clients.

Drs have been great, for myself and my kids when we've needed urgent care, the clinic is clean and comfortable, exepected long waits. Have only had problems with rude receptionists and the competence of some of the nurses, one particular instance, where another patient with the same first name, had her notes and symptoms taken by the nurse and put against my health record! and mine against her name! So when i finally got to see the doctor, he was treating me for the completely wrong condition! The doctor was not happy when he realized!

I have recently attended Glenfield Whitecross twice to have an IV done. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and my wait wasn’t long for a walk in. When I saw the nurses they were both superb, Michelle and Isabelle were both very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient, basically could not have been better. When I saw the Doctor she was able to very quickly sort things out and I was on my way. Thanks Whitecross, your help was really appreciated👍🏼

Update: In fairness to the centre, the response to my complaint was well handled, our subsequent visits to this centre have been much better. Have made the decision to stay with this practice. Credit where credit is due. have updated rating to reflect. Took 4 year old yesterday to Dr complaining of sore ear, doctor "checked" ear and gave all clear. Refused our requests for antibiotics. Today his ear drum perforated, fluid rushing out of the ear. took to different Dr, couldn't believe that it was missed yesterday, possible life long issues. Changing doctors today. Sick of Dr's ideology driving their treatment plans. Save your antibitotic resistant arguments for later and treat our kids properly.

Absolutely terrible GP. Go in for one issue and he just decides you need plastic surgery and focuses on that. 95 percent talking at the patient and almost no listening. Can't now get medication because they claim I have to come in for a gp visit to get essential pills but they have no free appointments. So guess I just have to hope I don't have issues until they can get there act together.

Some serious people skills training for the receptionist with blue tinged hair. Patronising and arrogant tone regarding a simple ACC follow up query from my son who needed help. The smirking didn't help either. Now at Smales Farm Urgent Care who were fantastic!

im not one to write reviews but honestly the reviews of healthcare services make me horrified!!! Everyone at this clinic is super lovely and friendly. The reception team is lovely, and the doctors are so nice. I get really bad health anxiety but i have never been stressed at this clinic. Thank you for all your work!!

I love having to wait a minimum of 2 weeks for an appointment. It really makes it easy to deal with all my medical issues... Also, the Dr's could use some work on their bedside manner. Will be changing Dr's asap, despite it being by far the most convenient location.

Honestly “Dr” Habboosh couldn’t care less about her clients. Some genuine passion and sympathy for a patient would great but hey I forgot she mustn’t get paid for that. Wont be returning or ever referring, are they letting just anyone become a doctor these days?

I should have taken the negative reviews seriously. This clinic does not provide the best care for their patients, I saw an urgent care doctor who was lack lustre with his examination, had to “lookup” wether a standard antibiotic was suitable. I had to convince him to take a sample for analysis and had to self administer another test which I think is his job, all other doctors have done the test for me to ensure it was done correctly. Finally I wasn’t given any pain meds even tho I was in pain. His treatment was not working so I ended up going to Smales Shorecare and got told that diagnosis was incorrect and that I was taking antibiotics for no reason, they gave me pain meds while I waited and the doctor was so focussed and thorough. The staff and premises were good. Try ask more questions and show a bit more care Doctor

I had an Accident related visit to Whitecross Glenfield on Saturday July 1st. Everyone from the Receptionist , & Dr Xu to the lovely nurses Jan, Amy & Christy were very professional and kind. The wait time was just over an hour & I was kept informed of my place in the queue. I would have no hesitation in visiting Whitecross again should the need arise.

What’s the point in having a phone if you don’t answer it. Waited on the line 15 min to get hung up on without even speaking to anyone and have been trying to ring and get through for an hour now. Just want to book an appointment, how hard does it have to be!?

I am a bit shocked to see the rating of the clinic. White cross Glenfield has been my family GP for more than 13 years. Dr Eddie Haddad is an extremely experienced Dr. He is the one we can put 100% of our trust on any consultation. I highly recommend him.

When I took my NB Baby for her appointment the male doctor (who I can't remember his name but when I find out I will come back edit my post) I had my daughter sitting infront of me on my lap sitting my lap facing forward and while she was getting checked up and the doctor and I were talking, he sneaky did a fast COVID TEST on my NB BABY with out me knowing or with out MY PERMISSION!! And then he continued doing his job until I clicked then I asked him, and he said yes he did & he was shocked he didn't know that I didn't want him to do one. #1 I did not even give him permission! &2 nice try! I made him throw it into the bin. I wrote a complaint to the receptionist because after that appointment I just wanted to gtfo of there before I would start getting more angry! So just be aware and don't let them try do things with out you knowing or try take advantage of you!

Eddy Haddad is a great Doctor and has explained that to get through on the phone, best to call the nurse, leave a message and they’ll call back. Unfortunately due to the shear quantity of patients & calls, they can’t answer many calls. Great service, friendly staff & despite a few issues, I rate highly 😎

Doctors are great! Reception is terrible. No manners, hang up the phone without talking to you or worse answer questions you didnt ask and then hang up meaning you need to call up again.

Shocking… I am aware health workers are over worked but this is inefficient. I have been here for about 2 hrs and the doctor is just in his room and feel like he doesn’t want to see any patients… He might be watching Netflix….No urgency at all. He just comes out of the room to go outside the centre. Two nurses just walk up and down in the corridor, looks like they are lost with out a direction.
