What an awesome spot to spend time with the kids. Great views and beach! Not to mention the park and basketball area to shoot some hoops.

Very nice Reserve. Good for family picnic or good for walking or walking with dogs. View are beautiful.. heaps of dogs 🐕 running around.

I absolutely love this beach! Nice soft sand, perfect for walking, sunbathing, and swimming. Pleanty of free parking. It gets the sunrise and sun till about 530 in the summer evenings. Public toilets and showers in the parking lot. Take note of the hours dogs are allowed on the beach. In summer, dogs aren't allowed between 10 am and 5 pm. Out of those hours off leash play is allowed. We even managed to score an ice cream from the ice cream truck in the (summer) evening. There is also a playground and grass area right there, too.

Really love these reserve. A playground for kids - the facilities are built with wood while a lot of other playgrounds are built with metal. There are shaded area for residents to have a picnic or BBQ. There is a mechanically controlled footpath bridge for the traffic of the yachts. The beach is just round the corner. The whole reserve is clean and tidy and it's been looked after by the locals. We went there to see the America's Cup/Prada Cup 20/12/2020

Has a nice field and trees for shade before the beach. There is also a basketball hoop and beach volley net available. The beach itself is quaint and nice but not the greatest for swimming.

Loving this place! Ample parking space around the playground and close enough to the beach. Kid was excited to discover some little star fish around the rock pools at low tide. Toilets are closed at the moment and that was a bit of inconvenience for us.

Lovely beach with a long stretch of beach. The restrooms have been renovated and the play area has also been improved. Lots of trees and grass.

It’s lovely beach for an early morning walk or jogging. There is volleyball field and one basket for basketball. It’s clean and the parking can be outside or inside the park It’s lovely in the morning and before sunset Also there is creek full of boats. Good place for families, friends and couples It’s chilli in the morning but that’s excepted Bring your coffee and have a wonderful day there

Absolutely beautiful beach

It is a great beach to start a walk toward Takapuna. It's great for the dogs to run around, too. A safe beach to swim at, although make sure you check Safe Swim website as the "Wairau Creek" end is often considered unsafe, so move to the South of the Creek.

Awesome beach and easily accessible. Dont need the West Coast for great sunsets. Sometimes the right conditions can make the East Coast beaches more scenic.

The day was beautiful, we got there and the tide was in and sparkling. Loads of people in the park and on the beach. Everyone was polite and friendly. The public toilets and showers were modern and clean.

A perfect place for a family day in the sun and surf. The water is beautiful and the sand clean and is located close to the carpark. The only thing is pack an umbrella as there is no shade.

Lovely view, plenty of green, volleyball net, half court basketball, big playground. Though, there isn't enough BBQs and picnic tables to compliment the size of the reserve and it's amenities.

Fun to be had around low tide we found. Healthy ecosystem, friendly folks. Will make sure I stay within 2-5m of the channel markers next time not 7m.

Great place to spend the day. It has a playground, toilets, a nice view, and a lot of grass.

It's no Takapuna. What a shame nobody had the foresight to at least set aside a park reserve at the beach, instead of a wall of private houses. Worst beach on the shore, go elsewhere.

Such a pleasant environment! There's a nice playground for kids. The beach is neat and clean. Lots of activities, including swimming, windsurfing, and canoeing, were noticed. Highly recommended destination for your whole day with your family and friends.

Great location in North Shore, very nice beach and the water is great for a swim and safe for the small kids as it is just slowly getting deeper. Nice place to have a walk in any time of the year , very popular place to walk your dog in the mornings or late evenings when it is allowed to leave it off leash.

Always a nice place to come and sit to relax, have lunch or enjoy the view with a coffee, Nice new toliet facilities, and always clean. Its a family beach.

at two hours, either side of low tide, you can walk all the way through to Takapuna Beach on a good path with ancient volcanic formations underfoot. Amazing!

Mikford Beach is amazing. I take my daughter all the time and we love playing in the sand or exploring the rock pools. Also highly rate the walk from Milford to Takapuna. My tip - grab a coffee at either end :)

Can get busy because it's a good beach with a great playground, open space to kick a ball, basketball court and volley ball. Just check after rain to see if it's safe to swim.

I am here for the food truck event. It was quite crowded with few choices of food. But I do love the food. Too many people were waiting in front of delicious food trucks. At about 8:30pm, not much food were left as pretty much most of yummy food were all sold out. I would love to appreciate the staffs who provided more candles on the tables for the lovely atmosphere. People tried to tidy up their own mess afterward. Good respect and manners👍
