I have fond memories of this park, I like the size and the coverage by the trees, it's always nice seeing the swans and ducks. 4 stars would reccomend for a calm afternoon.

Located on the south side of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, quiet, has tables and chairs for families to enjoy and reasonable numbers of available parking. Stayed until sunset, sky was amazing.. The park is home to the Pumphouse in Takapuna and is a pleasant setting for outdoor concerts or for feeding the ducks.

My husband and I went to Killarney Park after having a cup of coffee at French Rendezvous Cafe next door on 15/12/2023. The park was very quiet and we enjoyed the lovely and romantic walk there. We highly recommend you to visit the park if you happen to go to North Shore or you are one of the Northshorers.

I used to play in this park in my (much) younger days. The park itself really hasn't changed much, it's always been a tidy park, with nice open green spaces, running down to the lake. On the Eastern side are toilets, a cafe and the Pumphouse Theatre. Good parking is available in 2 carpark areas.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great park and dog beach with excellent drink fountain for dog and good toilet facility. A favourite swimming beach with dog in summer, lovely for a walk and ball game in winter. Thanks to 'Blake' (see photo) for installing rubbish bin beside stairway. Great idea.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Castor Bay Beach Reserve seems a quite popular spot for swimmers. My husband and I went to Castor Bay Beach Reserve for a relaxing stroll. We saw some people swimming and fishing there while others enjoyed their stroll along the beach. It worths a visit when you drive past Castor Bay next time.
