This is by far the best thing i’ve for myself. After a few Sup Introduction sessions I was hooked and saved to buy my own SUP. SJ is an awesome instructor and you feel absolutely amazing after a session on the water. Anyone can do it - don’t wish you were one of those ladies on a board, go for it! You’ll never look back.

SJ is an awesome qualified SUP instructor, who is gives great instructions to everyone & is very patient & motivating also! You are doing a great job!!!! Love the SUP kids programs she runs during the holidays, kids have a great time!

I had such a fantastic experience. SUP is so relaxing and SJ is super friendly, welcoming and an all around great teacher. I would recommend GirlsGetOutThereNZ to anyone who wants to give it a shot. I will definitely be heading back.

Had an awesome morning on lake Pupuke for my first intro SUP session. SJ made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that I gradually got up on my feet and just enjoyed the company and surroundings. Highly recommend having a go 😁

I had been looking for some sort of social water sport when I came across girls get out there nz three years ago. I did my first lesson and was hooked. SJ is lovely and very experienced. She gave me a great lesson and taught me proper technique and other essentials. I soon brought my own board and have loved every paddle I have been on. I love that paddling with SJ and girlsgetoutherenz is so inclusive and welcoming. All skill levels, personalities, lifestyles and schedules are welcome. You can be as intense or casual as you like. My favourite paddles are the tours that usually involve a pub. Also through paddling with GirlsGetOutThereNZ I have met so many wonderful women and enjoy exercising while being social.

Great evening.. as an absolute newbie and totally uncoordinated - i'd never set foot on a sup in my life! Was on my feet in 20 mins (albeit on 3rd try after chickening out) but never made to feel embarassed by the supportive and friendly group and a lovely hour paddling around and building my confidence. Definitely recommend cant wait to go again!

If you want to learn to sup SJ and GirlsGetOutThereNZ have to be where you go. SJ is an awesome instructor - explains things clearly and in different ways so everyone gets it. She’s a totally geninue,authentic person who is very patient and has a great way of making the learning fun. Her depth of experience and understanding is very clear - she’ll put you at ease if you have any fears. She also has a wonderful sense of humour and creating a feeling of comraderie. Since my initial sup learning with SJ, I’ve regularly purchased season passes as I’ve found the GirlsGetOutThereNZ community are great - we have a good laugh and are supportive of each other. What better way to start the day than a morning sup followed by a coffee and a good chat with a cool group of like minded people. Looking forward to doing some weekend sup trips away and the paddle to the pub. I totally recommend SJ and GirlsGetOutThereNZ!

I meet SJ at 6am on new years day 2020, she took me out in Takapuna and got some great shots of me standing on a board with the sun rise behind me. She was knowledgeable friendly and a great teacher! I enjoyed it so much that I stayed on for the next lesson, where i meet a great bunch of girls and have now formed friendships with! I will definitely be back again soon!
