Make sure when you buy fish at this shop, you take a sample of your home water with you, so that the sales assistant thats so over bearing and self righteous can test the water quality before she sells you a $20 fish. She never asked where we live, where we from. She refused to sell us fish because we had our own opinion about fish. This shop is a joke, she is chasing customers away. We went to another Animate shop, bought fish, spent $300, no problem! I will not visit this shop again, unfortunately. 1 STAR RATING for shocking & rude customer service.

Really welcoming team. The whole store is organized really well and it's really easy to find what you're looking for. Shout out to Erica for being so helpful and patient with me, and helping choose the right plants for my goldfish. Can't wait to spoil these goldfish!

Excellent one stop shop for all of your pet needs. The staff who attended to my questions had exerted knowledge or got another staff member who knew a topic in detail.

One stop place for everything about pets. Went there to get pet fishes with little knowledge about how to do setup an aquarium, however helpful and expert knowledge of staff helped us. After her valuable guidance we returned with a detailed plan on setting up aquarium and how well to take care of pet fishes. Thank you!

The customer service at Animates can't be beaten. Such friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. I find the pet toys very expensive, but some good specials can be found on the pet food.

Waiting 1 full week to be refunded for a click and collect item that was unavailable. The second time this has happened. I suggest Animates review the process so that transactions only go through when an item is picked, not instantly, which prevents being charged when items are not available as website suggests. Keeping better track of stock levels woukd also help prevent these situations. Store staff are friendly and pleasant, unforunately they refer the matter to Head Office who are unable to be reached.

Don't bother buying fish from this store. They asked me to come back in on a weekend as they couldn't sell fish due to covid after 7 even though they had 2 staff on the floor.

I've been going to animates for quite a while now but heard some bad things about how they treat animals. Everyone loves seeing the animals in these types of shops but they have now taken them away which is sad. Animates has been running out of stock on a few things but other than that, you can get all the essentials which is good. Xx

Sales assistant names “Laura” was the rudest most condescending person I have ever met! I got spoken to like trash because I didn’t have my ID for my click and collect? Staff need to be educated on the fact that nowhere on your order confirmation does it say you even need ID! Not to mention the fact that you don’t even need ID to make the purchase online, so it makes absolutely no sense for them to require it on collection? Leave your nasty attitude at home or don’t come to work. Disgusting customer service, definitely won’t be back.
