A small community library with very friendly and helpful staffs. Other than books, videos, tapes and magazines ; free using of computers, copying. Free lap sit: singing and story telling to children.

came here for my workshop, the lady is very accommodating.. a smaller library, it has chess, few tables and seats to use, computer area, library area for kids, and short class for mothers and babies in the morning..good place 👍

Decent sized public library located very conveniently. Ample parking is there on the back side of the building and on the streets too. Easily accessible by car and public transport. Free WiFi is available too. The choice of books and reading materials available is awesome and well worth looking. A separate area for children makes a nice activity corner for them. Staff are very nice and helpful. Very highly recommended.

Most of the time I had a good experience visiting this library but not today. I might be biased but 1 librarian was very rude to me. I forgot my library card and asked if I could still print something. She asked me for ID and I said I didn’t bring it. She asked me “how did I get here?” and I’m like ????. All I needed to know is whether I can still print something without my card. There was more going on which is not worth sharing. I understood why she needed to verify my identity and I was happy to do it but I felt that she could have deal with me in a nicer and kind manner. She looks like she hates her job or something but it is not an excuse to be rude. As a person who has been working in customer service, I would have treated me differently and probably in a nicer way too. Anyways, I hope other librarians are not like this because Glenfield library is one of my favorite libraries to visit.

Definitely worth a visit. Big selection of kids books. Very little in terms of woke books in the children's section and this is the first library where we weren't bombardment with woke symbols, flags and slogans in the kids area.

Lovely helpful staff. My favourite library. Good location and close parking for those rainy days. Today the computers were playing up. We couldn't do what we wanted but no problem tomorrow is another day.

Excellent friendly staff never too busy for you. Lovely ladies always wearing a beautiful smile to please you. Me and my two daughters visiting the library in the evenings and the staff has same energy level and happy faces even by 4.30pm. You guys make my reading habit more addictive , so is my daughters. I feel true kiwi spirit there been an immigrant. I always feel very valuable and respected by them. Love the positive vibe they got at the reception!! All the best my lovely ladies at the library !!

Great library with a nice nook for kids

It has been a while since visiting a library what with covid and all, so I found myself in a revamped space where a few things had been moved. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of medical references, of which there was only 1 book on my chosen subject matter. I found a few about vaccines and pandemics, a lot about yoga and meditation, quite a few on plants and oils as medicine, and an unhealthy amount of cookbooks. I am researching cancer, in particular breast cancer, I found one book, a biography which was of no help. I found a general medicine book and an American book about all cancers. I know I could use the internet, but you can't always believe what you read there unless there are references attached. But at least it was mostly quiet at the library today.

Good place... They will arrange Book for you... If they don't have...

This library plays an important role in this community.It is very closed to my home,so I come here every day.A convenient and perfect library!

This is a good library but the very noisy. The worst thing is No one in the staff cares about them even if they play games loudly on their phones, talk on the phone, and make lots of noise. I have already reported my comments to the staff about the noise. However, the staff told me to put up with it, saying he couldn't do anything. Unbelievable.

Wonderfully pleasant and friendly staff. Power & USB points for charging points. Couldn't ask for more, stuck waiting for the car do get fixed.

Brilliant facility with very helpful staff. There is a huge range of books available but also plenty of equipment available for printing and scanning documents. Definitely a helpful space to have in the community.
