It was a busy Tuesday at the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive, one of the staff offered a kid menu without as asking. The staff came a few times during the meal to check if everything was alright and if we needed anything else. Our table was re-booked at 0730 so the staff informed us prior to ordering. However, they came again to let us know we didn't need to rush because the booking was modified. We had a great time at the restaurant and will definitely come back again. We ordered Pizza Bread, Ultimate Onion, Steak and Ribs. The food was amazing, Ultimate Onion is a must-try. My T-Bone steak was cooked perfectly to medium-rare. Thank you for the hospitality.

Service 5*. Food presentation 5*. Food taste & quality 5*. This restaurant is an experience you won't forget. Be ready to spend though, 2 people and we spent $117, no regrets, totally worth it. 4 star overall as we were seated in the back area, which would be ok however disgusting fan blowing at as, dirty ceiling above us, old and ugly open storage next to us. Took away from the experience for sure.

The place is so lively and food is great! Large portions and very tasty.. The staff if also very accommodating and service is smooth though we had to wait a little longer due to 2 big groups ahead of us. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.

My boyfriend and I went there last night for his birthday and it was absolutely the best decision we made! The food was amazing, the pork rib was more than perfect! The ultimate onion was also a must try. The staff were really nice n friendly, the vibe was comfortable, we enjoyed every minute there. Already recommended this place to everyone we know after we left. Will go back for sure!

This place is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in North Shore. They get their steaks right, every single time, even the rump. Price is on the expensive side but the portion is big-ish and very delicious. You get what you pay for. Customer service is good, they don't bother you every 30 seconds to check how everything's going. They can probably spruce up the restrooms but other than that, the place is suitable for everyone.

Steak is so tender and juicy, chicken and calamari are yummy. Delicious sauces. Friendly staff and nice ambiance. Highly recommendable 👍.

After checking the reviews before making a reservation, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered half+half ribs, but they turned out to be dry. The chips were mostly short and soggy. The $26 calamari we ordered had batter that fell off and was also soggy. To add to the disappointment, an end piece of fruit placed in our take-away box was spoiled!!! 🤢It was quite unpleasant of the dining experience. Only positive side was the owner acting very welcoming at the entrance. We wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We dined in, on Wed night, as it was our 38th wedding anniversary. The food was yummy…hubby had the ribs and chicken combo and I had the peri peri chicken livers. I would’ve loved the livers to be more chunky… not as fine as they were. But the taste was good. The ribs and chicken were cooked to perfection. The Malva pudding was just as yummy. Our server, Violet, was wonderful! She was friendly, professional and it looked like she enjoyed what she was doing. Which is important. The atmosphere picked up, once more people arrived. We had an early dinner at around 6pm. Overall, the vibe was good.

First time here in about 7 years and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Really recommend the squid and peri peri chicken. I had to be rolled out of there (figuritively) because I ate so much - it was all so good! Good atmosphere, albeit a little noisy. But I suppose that shows how popular the restaurant is! Great servers too.

(October 2022); Visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening as it was highly rated (4,6 stars on average with 1171 reviews in total) and the menu and pictures looked promising. I gave the steak and chicken combo (Eye Fillet and flame grilled chicken leg) a try. Steak came exactly at the requested cooking stage (medium-rare) and was super delicious. The staff was very friendly. (July 2023): Visited this place again during my Auckland trip. Everything was excellent again.

Had an amazing lunch at the Bushman's Grill today. It has been a long time since our last lunch here. it was amazing! Brilliant food and great service! The price is pretty good and the atmosphere is always great. Highly recommend everyone get down there for lunch!

Best blooming onion worth ordering tonight. If you eat here I recommend ordering the Garlic Lover's sauce with it instead of the sweet chilly. Cheers🍻

We went there without knowing anything about this place. Saturday night without a booking and got told they don’t have a table but we can book one for an hour later. Husband and I decided to wait and booked that table. Ten minutes later we got the call that they got a free table earlier and we went for our GREATEST dining experience ever. The service is OUTSTANDING, the food the BEST we had in a restaurant so far both my husbands steak and my schnitzel mouthwatering. Huge portions and a good price. We definitely will be back. Can’t praise this place enough. Absolutely stunning, thank you for a turning a boring Saturday night couldn’t be bothered to cook at home, into such a experience.

New to the glendene area. Google searched Steak dinner near me and found this place. Hidden gem at the end of Hepburn Road. First time trying this and definitely won't be the last. Ordered a picnic feast expecting small portions for two people but recommended for 4 as per website. Massive portions, exceeded expectations everything was cooked perfectly. No need to go nandos for flame grilled chicken try bushmans. Food coma at its finest. Thank you for the awesome feast.

Easily the best steakhouse in Auckland for us! Always our top choice to bring our family or friend from overseas as the food is amazing and variety of menu options can cater to most dietary preferences. We usually celebrate special occasions here, lovely ambience but not too intimidating for people like us who do not really fancy fine dining restaurants. The staffs are always pleasant and accommodating. My all time favourites are their scotch fillet steak (medium well done right & flavorful!) and calamari. Appreciate it that they allowed me to keep a small cake in their fridge and when I requested it back after dinner, they asked if we’re celebrating a birthday, prepped the cake with some candles & sang us a happy birthday! Thank you always guys, keep up your fantastic food and service. You are amazing! See you again soon :)

Great night, meals were a good size and came out around 30-40min after ordering which gave us time a few drinks and conversation, everything was cooked perfectly and plenty of options to customize your meals. Staff were polite and busy but still made time to sing a few people "happy birthday" which was a nice touch. Will definitely go back. Thank you

the bushman’s grill was bussing. like actually bussing. staff were friendly and welcoming. food came in a reasonable time. we got the 300g rump steak & flame grilled chicken combo - $52 and the chicken and bacon pizza - $32, $84 total. a bit pricy but was a birthday treat and the food was great. the steak is what stole the show. it tasted amazing and was cooked and flavoured to perfection. the pizza was also delicious, i liked their thin dough base and the toppings were also good. unfortunately, i did not enjoy the chicken at all. i think i just don’t like grilled chicken but the chicken just did not hit different and there wasn’t really flavour inside of it. nonetheless, the steak and pizza exceeded expectations and we look forward to dining here again.

The food was delicious and the dessert a treat. We did not wait long and the service was excellent. Great place for a birthday meal. They make you feel very special with the birthday song and a drink on the house. We will definitely be back.

First time here led in by a bunch of the good reviews. The pork ribs were good. I'd usually try beef but went for the chicken seeing a tasty pic, and regretted. Most of all, I was so excited to find a baked potato with sour cream but it was nothing like an American one. The potato was cut in 6 or so pieces.... why? The cole slaw was fresh but bland.
