Babies, babies, babies. Being in a schooling area, the seats and sounds of the establishment are filled with babies toiling away, exploring the new world that they find themselves in. Some may find this uncomfortable or disruptive, but this was just emblematic of the wonderful community spirit that Beam Cafe provides for it's local area. The staff are some of the friendliest in the country, and the food an excellent pairing to the exquisite coffee that is offered at this coffee house. Even as I write this, a patron sitting opposite me, once getting his delicious caffeinated extraction served to him, immediately asked for another of the same. He knows he will enjoy it so why not just indulge in another. And I shall watch with great satisfaction as yet another patron is served by this incredible business. Love the pug mural.

Awesome little cafe in the centre of Milford. I really liked the taste of the chocolate milkshake and the CCC burger. It's also reasonably priced! 🍔🍟

Busy today (Sat), but staff were friendly & quickly cleared the table from the last patrons. Food came out quickly, was tasty & dietary requirements can be accommodated for (dairy/gluten). Portion size was a tiny bit small for the eggs Benedict, but other than that, a good first time impression 😊

Quick afternoon visit. Had the mini eggs Benny, great that they do a half size option. Really nice sort began, great flavour sauce and crispy bacon. Chicken salad was really tasty with lots chicken. Washed down with a super yummy ice chocolate ( choc lover recommendation) . Love the cool kiwiana style art and cool wall mural.

Unique dishes, limited seating so avoid the peak hours if you can. Plenty parking around. A popular places for local given the amount of competitions in the area. Fried chicken was particularly nice and tasty, one of a kind. Recommending a try. Veyr friendly services too.

Definitely up there in one of the best cafés around Auckland. Had to try the 'Beams benedict' after reading previous reviews - was amazing. Coffee was excellent, service was super fast and friendly. Will definitely be back to try more from their menu.

A friendly, welcoming cafe with a comfy atmosphere and excellent hot drinks (I had a mocha and then a chai latte). Tasty breakfast and lunch menu, served with a smile. Couple of tables out on the covered sidewalk, usually easy enough to find a park nearby. Easy to be a regular here, very hospitable staff. Nice early weekend hours too.

This place is a gem! Hidden away in Milford. Absolutely 💯 yum eggs bene. Cater for gluten free well. So good!!

I had the fried chicken waffles which were delicious. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have a bit more hollandaise sauce, but will keep that in mind for next time we visit. My partner had the French toast which he enjoyed. The hot vietnamese coffee was nice. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed and staff were lovely

Excellent cafe. Good old fashion service with a smile, excellent food designed to be different. I get tired of always having the same menu presented in cafes but this cafe stands out from the boring crowd with a fresh take on popular dishes. Highly recommended.

The staff at Beam are absolutely wonderful - I wanted to bottle the lady who looked after us! Then the food was equally as amazing - the combo of flavours were different and delicious. We’ll be back soon!

Incredibly delicious food, coffee, smoothies - best brunch I've ever had on the North Shore. Food came out quickly and was fresh and filling. Would be back for sure!

Consistently enjoyable coffee - double shot tulip flat white. Not many options in Milford for good coffee. If no good, I send coffee back and owner is happy to deliver a better coffee. I love their custard slice when available. Sausage rolls are good. Cabinet food is uninspiring and could do with more love. The cafe needs a spring clean.Dirty curtain at kitchen is not sexy! Decor is tired. Owners is always friendly and delivers a good service.

The food was lovely. It was good, there was a half portion for the benedict as I wanted something small. The drink was nice as well. Great service.
