Friday night dinner booking for 10 Ordered, drinks, entry mains and dessert. Suitable for vegetarians. The vegan menu is very limited however staff are able to switch up items on request. It took 20mins for us to be seated (we booked in advance) was hard to get a staff member to take our order to start with, following this it was 45min to get our food. The manager then offered flat breads on the house, we were very hungry and got 2 flat bread for the whole table of 10. Moving forward, meals arrived together and they checked on the food after we had a chance to dig in. The food portions I felt were on the smaller side however my colleagues were happy with their portions. Overall extremely happy with what we received over all courses. The atmosphere was very busy, as expected on a Friday night. The venue feels like it needs a bit more spacing. The outside area can be cold in winter as they have a sliding door that is let open by patrons. Toilets are clean and well taken care of. Parking is limited street parking is available.

Always a wonderful experience dining here. One of my favourite restaurants on the North Shore. The staff welcome you with authentic Mediterranean hospitality, incredibly warm and friendly. The food is outstanding. Great location right on the esplanade in Campbells Bay. I also really enjoy the wine list, which features organic wines from some key regions across Europe. The pizzas are out of this world. Love El Greco!

This place is amazing, would give it 10 stars if I could, amazing service and food. Such a family feel to the place. We loved the photos of the owner in his home land on the walls and his family recipe's in the menu. Even the coffee he made us was one of the best I've had in Auckland.

Outstanding service and beautiful food, a visit to El Greco is like walking into Italy. Kostas' favourite, Penne Di Costa, was my main for that evening. Chicken, bacon and blue cheese accompanied by al dente penne and shavings of parmesan cheese is truly a harmonic duet. I can comprehend why it's called Kostas' favourite! Fresh handmade Italian pizza and a range of traditional dishes are available for order and take-away. I would highly recommend visiting in groups, and reservations are a must. Would absolutely recommend this amazing restaurant located near the shore!

Brilliant restaurant! Visited here for a birthday celebration. The service was excellent throughout the night. Theres a great variety of food to choose from and there's also BYOD. Considering it was a Saturday night It was good to see we didn't wait too long for food to be served. The entrees and the mains did not disappoint, authentic & flavoursome. Best Italian & Greek food I've had! The general atmosphere is very nice. El Greco is one of a kind. Highly recommend.

Amazing greek food and lovely hospitality at this hidden neighbourhood gem. Had the aubergine dip, seafood salad, gyros and the pizza and all were excellent. The first 3 items which I'd consider Greek were excellent and pizza was ok (but then again we were very full by the time it came). Might have to return to try their pasta to see how good Italian menu is at the restaurant! Random fact: Kostas (owner)'s parents have a Guiness World Record for the tallest basil tree grown in the world!

I can't fault anything about this restaurant. The waitress was very attentive and helpful, friendly, and willing to assist The food was absolutely amazing and cooked by a chef who had a passion and love for his/her art. Glad I booked a table seeing how popular this restaurant is. Well worth visiting for some of the best food I have had in years. I will be returning to try other dishes in the near future

Food was extremely tasty especially the freshly toasted bread. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was outstanding and made us feel at home.

Great vibe and music; owners and waiters are from Greek- very friendly! We had pizzas, pasta, bread dip, calamari rings, and drinks~ The food is decent but not as special as expected ~ would recommend ppl to try order something else~ but overall we really enjoyed our visit here ~

It was a nice exotic experience for us to have Greek dishes. Also, a short walk along the Cambells Bay beach after brunch was a bonus of the location of the El Greco. Friendly staff served our delights and took the empty plates quickly. The place is kind of too busy to stay longer. We arrived at 12.05 pm and left before half past one with 8 main dishes and 3 appitizers. Three of us ordered Spaghetti Carbonara and my daughter couldn't finish it as it is a bit big portion for her. My hubby who loves shrimps a lot was not happy with his main dish, Spaghetti Marinara, as it tastes just plain. The Grilled Octopus was my favorite among dishes we ordered at that time.

We just love coming to this restaurant. Amazing Greek and Italian food, from the many dishes we have tried. Top quality service from every staff member. Even the younger members have been trained exceptionally. Lots of staff always on deck and working hard. A lovely, clean restaurant. One of our favourite places to come. Thank you for all your hard work and always giving a positive dining experience.

The food is amazing! Great presentation and taste, especially the chicken pizza with blue cheese. The flavour is very well balanced. Desert is nice too. I had the tiramisu. Having liquor in it is a very nice touch! Friendly staff too, service is speedy and detailed.

Super good dining experience!! The staff were so so lovely and we loved the baked feta and the pizza bread. The pasta portion were quite big as well. Would definitely visit again💓

I was looking for some decent seafood on the shore and after reading a few reviews thought we’d try El Greco. The service was good although the food took a while to arrive, presumably because they are consistently busy. I had the snapper and my wife had the prawns. Both were excellent and we will be going back.

Lunch was Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork Skewers, which were great, staff very friendly. Quaint Cafe with character.

Stopped off while waiting for a friend. Was going to have a coffee but turned into a wine which was good. Super friendly staff can tell a real local place. Wish I hadn't eaten as menu read well and dishes I saw looked yum. Will be back for a meal and I look forward to that.

Had a bite here with mate. Was just 8mins up the road from me. Loved it pizza and pasta are Great! Dessert too. Great for kids and families. Coffee great too. Greek and Italian style. Cozy. Casual as well. Thanks guys.

ordered basil tortellini on the 3rd september around 6pm. cost $18, time to cook 10mins. friendly staff, nice location, quick service. the pasta sauce was good but nothing special - i expected handmade pasta for the price, but the pasta was standard store bought fresh tortellini. the most disappointing part was the portion size. there was barely enough to be considered an entree! i thought there would be at least a good meal size considering it was $18, but the takeout tray was only one third full. i counted 7 small pieces of mushroom in total. after i ate, i was still hungry, so i went to pizza hut for a $5 pizza. very disappointed as this used to be a good place to eat, and the pasta used to fill the tin, but i would not recommend this place to anyone because their portions are small and the quality is average. they will probably go out of business soon because nobody will return after going there once....

I must say, The pizzas my wife and i had were 9/10 Excellent, I highly recommend to visit this restaurant if your a pizza lover. I do not post reviews , but this place deserves the thumps up!. i will certainly be coming back.

We were a company of 10 people, and all of us enjoyed our night here. We were constantly looked after by several waiter/waitresses. The quantity of dishes advised by the waitress was the perfect portion. Food was all very nice to eat, we were too focused on eating, forgot to take photos. But the olive oil based pasta was exceptionally amazing, we will definitely come back in near future

Could not fault the food or the service at this little gem of a restaurant, absolutely recommend it. It is only a small space, so you can feel a bit squished in, not so great if you slightly hard of hearing as noise levels can get pretty high. Food and service make it worth it though.

Excellent food. Fantastic service. We were made very welcome despite the changes in our group number and time. We were served by Anastasia who was very patient and tolerant of our indecisiveness. This is not the first time I've been served by Anastasia. The previous two times she was also excellent. She has excellent knowledge of the menu. She's very careful and thoughtful with diners who have food allergies.

Fantastically tasty pizza with real chunky topping, the vegetarian pizza is a heap of delicious and easily identifiable mushrooms onions capsicum olives, garlic - in fact the chef Kostas can make it to your needs. The Hawaiian had big ham on it. I am gluten free and dairy free and he made me a special crispy based GF pizza DF with so much topping I didn't even miss the cheese! And that is an achievement :) Friendly staff, a chef who loves making good food, and cute tables so there is an atmosphere. Very good way to cheer someone up if they have to go in to North shore hospital (it is across from the front gate). Take flowers from the dairy and pizza, they will get better faster!

First time here and had a great night with the wife. Great staff and hosts who always knew when you glass was empty. Food was great and everything came out in a timely manner despite the fact they were bloody busy. Book early if you want a table. It will be worth it

Amazing experience tonight!! Service was off the charts. We asked to be sat outside and we’re immediately offered blankets and had the heater turned on. Waiters made sure we had an amazing experience and the food was divine! We enjoyed the BYO aspect and the owners definitely looked after us. Ordered a second dessert it was that delicious. Would definitely recommend!!
