There must be new owners / lessees of the driving range, as their attitude now towards customers is poor. It seems they are only interested in the money you bring in. The woman on the front desk is particularly sour and rude. I had a 100 ball gift voucher, of which I wanted to use half on one visit and the other 50 later. This has not been a problem previously, but this woman would not do it, as "different price". I argued the point and, with a man intervening, I was allowed to do it. But their attitude was not customer friendly. Where on a voucher does it state it must be used in one visit? The other concern I have is the time limit on vouchers. This again is not a good idea - check with "Consumer" magazine to see most retailers now have no time limit on vouchers. I will avoid this driving range in future - I hope nobody gifts me vouchers from this place! Perhaps Koreans at this place need to learn how to deal respectfully with their customers?

Handy location by the Northern Motorway in Takapuna. Parking can be limited on weekends, course does hold water in wet months but late Spring and Summer are fine. Driving range And Golf shop on site.

Staff weren’t friendly and they didn’t have drivers. At a driving range… they had no drivers… only irons.

This is a fairly decent course in the middle of auckland. Very flat holes. It's OK for a hit out, has excellent facilities including a ful driving range. but there are much more challenging / interesting courses out there

13 of us celebrated my 40th Birthday with 9 holes of golf on Saturday. Everyone was looking forward to it until we got there and interacted with the staff! Firstly the guy in the office was very rude and not very helpful, he was very pushy as we were a little bit late and also wouldn’t let me use a golf trolley for free given that mine broke on route, saying to me ‘we are a golf course we are here to make money’. I play Takapuna golf course once or twice a week and up until Saturday, had only nice things to say. I think I will start looking else were! Secondly, one of our groups were teeing off from the second tee, when an employee came over in a golf cart, telling the group to hurry up! I had a talk with him and said everyone has paid exactly the same amount, if others have to wait then so be it. It happens all the time when I play on a Friday afternoon and I never see staff telling people to hurry up. It was just rude.

Extremely rude staff at the pro shop. Won’t let you reserve a spot for you and some friends, they tell you to physically come in and book and pay, and on dotgolf app you have to pay for each person to book, meaning I have to pay for 3 other playing partners up front and then they have to pay me back. Only club in Auckland to do this which is ironic considering it’s one of the more average courses around.

Great facility that has everything you need to learn, practice & play the game. Suitable for newcomers, beginners & experienced golfers.

I’ve only used the driving range - very busy but a good driving range $17 for 100 balls

Good course, but being public and easily accessible it's highly likely you will spend 5-6 hours trying to get around. Quite busy if you aren't the first to tee off

Better course than I expected. However think that stacking the back 9 is not on. Finished our front 9 to find groups waiting on 10 who had just turned up with no tee times available. Pretty shady practice, making for very slow rounds. Frustrating, money grubbing as a friend commented

Takapuna golf course serves well to busy Aucklanders being in the reasonably central location with nice facility. Little wet in winter and can be very busy when weather is fine.

Enjoyable course. Played the front nine, very flat, some tricky holes. Very well maintained. Good food at the cafe.

24 of us played yesterday it’s a public golf course but the condition of the greens and bunkers are absolutely rubbish, compared to Chamberlain park over the city side of the bridge which is also a public golf course I rate Takapuna 1 out of 5 this public course used to be better maintained now at $40 it’s not even worth that, my suggestion play at chamberlain park or pay $45 at another course and get a better value for your money.

Decent for a public track although weekends expect your rounds to take quite a bit of time. Beginner friendly and decent driving range although it's a hazard on the 9th hole.

The driving range is a great value for a fun outing. We went for a double date and had a great time.

I like this golf course, it feels easy and there is always space there. I played today after rain but the course was good - not too muddy and the greens good putting too.

Excellent public golf course in really good condition. The staff are very pleasant too.

Love this driving range. Staff so helpful and reasonably priced. Great place to practice your golf and even has the odd helpful golfer willing to provide tips

The course itself is in decent condition, and the cafe/bar is well appointed. However, the other facilities including the pro shop and the driving range are in declining condition and need some refresh/maintenance/upgrade.

Very well set up and run..long may this wonderful facility be available to us all.

Played the front 9. Greens not in great condition and very long. No holes on the practice putting green which is odd. Plus digital scorecards not available and hand-witten scorecards not uploaded to golf.co.nz 5 days later. All in all disappointing.

I can't believe that Takapuna golf course charged me $40 for 18 holes but the greens are not up to the standards. greedy staff, I won't play golf there anymore. I don't mind if the greens are in a perfect condition It's like selling a leftover to the people in the restaurant .hahaha. terrible management.
