Jamaica Cafe is a lively food asset at Auckland Hospital. Visitors, patients and staff all go there. So it's not only a place to enjoy food but to also socialize and relax. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I've been coming here since it opened.

Friendly prompt service met great coffee whenever you're visiting loved ones in hospital. Feeling peckish? Jamiaica Blue offer a fantastic cabinet display of fresh salads, savouries or sweet items as well as menu items. The fresh juices are divine!

This cafe has taken over Muffin Break on level 5 on Auckland Hospital. It looks quite nice and there was a fair amount of things to choose from in the cabinets. The iced chocolate wasn't good but the salmon omelette wasn't bad. Bit pricey but nice selection.

The price of this food here should be illegal !!! $18 for a fritter which is paper thin, has it got gold in it?? Get a grip!!! Shocking behaviour. All reviews on Google mention the price, listen to your customers!

We went here and spent $80.00 this was absolutly a rip off and the food wasnt good at all. Cold , uneventful and bland. There was nothing to it. Im pritty sure the salad dresding on my mums fritters was off. I will not come back here and i will be ensuring everyone is aware of what kinda food they will get. Better to go out to St peirres and get sushi. Do better Jamica Blue.

Absolutely disgusting. First off I ordered a "smoothie" the thing cost 8.50 and was half the size of the container. Then they stuffed up my mother's scone order. I know they have the monopoly being the only Cafe on site. But there is still subway and a great Cafe outside. Take your business elsewhere and these horrible people will have to change.

This place makes the best cofe, it's not too hot like some other places which makes it drinkable straight away. The food is delicious and always cooked perfectly, my favorite is the Asian chicken omelet yummy

A sandwich, coffee matcha latte (I ordered a normal latte but they got it wrong) and muffin will cost you $28. Insanely overpriced for mediocre sandwiches and I happened to buy a lasagne after cause I was still hungry and that was $17. It would’ve been alright if the customer service was ok but the servers were incredibly rude. The Middle Aged Asian lady talked to me in a tone and condescending it was a horrible experience. She also assumed I wanted a matcha latte and when the order was called out I didn’t think it was mine till she screamed at me and said like I was incompetent that my matcha latte was ready. The matcha latte was ok and the first time I tried one but the point is that’s not what I ordered. The beef lasagne was appailing! Minimal seasoning lots of oil floating in the takeaway container and the top layer of the lasagne couldn’t even be cut you had to pick it up and eat it like jerky. The priciest food I’ve had in a cafe in Auckland city with the rudest service the place should be shut down. Come see the lady at the counter if want to be abused and talked down to she shouldn’t be foh if she hates people that much. I feel for people that are Unwell that go there cause they’re going to get treated horribly

Got a medium latte to go. $5.90 a steep price! The coffee itself wasn't steep tho, literally...I reckon they'd put a small size into a medium cup - not even 3/4 full, luke warm and pretty average. Food prices are a rip off. Staff are scruffy, they don't even look clean! One of them was coughing while making an order at the coffee machine. No wonder there's always a queue of hospital staff in scrubs at the Cafe next door....I won't be going back to Jamaica Blue.

Such a waste of a one star because this place is just money hungry! Sooo overpriced, food looks stale and bland… You’d save alot more bringing your own food in or buying anywhere but there. Ordered an extra hot dirty chai latte. It was not hot at all… not surprised it wasn’t filled to the top and it was half cup full of foam! Might as well be a fluffy… Barista needs some extra training because while walking away there were people walking back to the counter with their coffees disappointed. Lucky I was in a mad rush otherwise I would’ve either asked for a new one or refund. Avoid this overpriced and overrated place. Lady at the counter was friendly though. 👍🏼

I ordered a beef burger along side other dishes, i specifically asked for my burger to come without bacon and they assured me they will remove it. I bit into my burger to find it full of bacon that made me sick to my stomach. Went back and told them what happened, kept me waiting for a while to validate my story then refunded me. Absolute carelessness. Will never go back in a million year

Hey Jamaica Blue. What's happened. Used to be good food at reasonable price. Now $12 for a breakfast frittatta, elsewhere $7. $13+ for pork and coleslaw salad ie a sprinkle of pork. Poor form

So i tried their mushroom brushetta for the first time it was nice but a whopping $21.5. I was craving it again so went the next time and the cook was new or i dont know what went wrong it was HORRIBLE!! and this time i got 2 hoping it would be the same as last time but my $43 went to waste. There wasnt even garlic on the bread it was peanut butter, they think they can fool their customers. I was a regular as i visit every 2 weeks for my mum in law's chemo but not anymore.

Extremely rude staff, and overpriced food considering they are operating from a hospital they could have some compassion and let customers sit in a blocked off area because all the other seats were taken. Disgusting

Went there today for their salmon and potato rosti - new on the menu for an astronomical $32.50. It was an absolute disgrace. I couldn't even cut into the rosti as it was rock hard!!!!!! I called a member of staff who was extremely rude. He wanted me to start eating everything else on plate while the kitchen prepared a new rosti. I refused and demanded a refund. He eventually agreed to this. DO NOT GO HERE - IT IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!

Most impressed with service and food quality. Staff were trained and knew exactly what was and was not ok for Gluten Free people. Valued assistance was offered and gratefully received. For a busy outfit the wait time was OK. Go try it!

Have come here frequently over the last two weeks. Bit pricey. Coffee good. Lots of food to choose from. Don't forget to use your Jamicia Blue card. Your coffee might be free!

very poor service, man scrolling his phone while taking my order. no response from 'please or thank you', very cold, then right back to his phone. ordered a flat white in the smallest cup (which was bigger then most normal coffees, cost $8. very average coffee. Right next door great service with a smile, $6.50 for the same order, better coffee, actual small cup.

Love this cafe had the butter chicken pie and a cappuccino last time I had a ham tomato muffin. The food is absolutely amazing and the service great. Been 7 months since I was here and it’s still the same great service and the food is still excellent 😁
