    We booked at 11.30 for having a brunch but when we arrived we have been told that croissants and pain au chocolat were finished and they said that breakfast is finished at 12.00. I would have appreciated if they could inform me about that the day before when I booked. We asked a small plate for our son and they brought a dirty plate.. jam and chocolate spread were served in big opened pots were other people served them self also.. so not very hygienic.. food( eggs with avocado) was not so special.. I don’t advise for having brunch.

    Absurdity long waiting time (more than 1h!!! with children it’s a torture); food arrives not at once to a table; staff just turns around the floor without any particular sense; nobody willing to apologise or give any indication on the real waiting time;

    Wonderful and joyfull place... the decoration is amazing as its the service. Don't go late because the kitchen closes early, but they have very good options. Kids and adults will love the decorations, and you can also enjoy a game of chess in one of the tables.

    As an avid reader and book store aficionado, I've dreamed of going here for years. It did not disappoint. Every room was more amazing and intriguing than the one before. I could've spent days here!! <3 Just one word of advice, do NOT eat here. The food is horrible. Like literally gross. (I had a hamburger and the crudités. My daughter said her crepes were okay. The fries were edible, nothing else was of my order.) Stick to the books, that is where the magic is at. Eat in the city, your stomach and wallet will thank you.

    One of the best place to be . Awesome team , funny and a real knowledge on items offered to sale , a (big) amazing family shop where you can also take a break , a drink , eat and enjoy the place . Highly recommended!!

    Dried bread, watered-down cappuccino, tasteless pancakes. Only the crêpe saved the day. Worst breakfast ever. Personnel is nice but have a half-arsed answer as to why the bread was dry. The atmosphere is nice but doesn’t stop the overall disappointment. First and certainly last time I do breakfast here.

    Lovely atmosphere! You can sit with a drink and pick up a book to read. Staff are amazing. The only negative thing is when it's busy having more than one toilet would be good.

    Great location, great for kids, the decor is very original, the staff was very friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. The only thing that was really surprising in "meh" way was the toilets! 😵‍💫

    For some time now the quality of the food has significantly improved, and the range of books and comic strips has broadened nicely given the limited space. More importantly, the quality of service and the sophistication of the personnel exceeds the standard by far. A pleasure to spend time there!

    Great place and good food. The young girl at the cashier was efficient and speak English. Nice place to enjoy a good meal with a positive environment.

    Very disappointing compared to the Cook & Book on the other side of town. The service is poor, the place is quite broken down and noisy (daaamn that ventillation), and much less choice of books as well.

    While it was pretty pricey, we did have an overall good experience at Cook&Book. We liked the design and decor, even though it might need a bit of patching up. I thought that the staff was quite friendly as opposed to what other customers seem to have experienced according to other reviews. The food was very good, I really haven’t had such good fries in a very long time. We had a salmon tartare, it was a generous serving with fries, a salad and a few slices of bread. There’s a decent selection of books and also a few fun gadgets and gag-gifts.
