One of the best hostels in Lucknow right now, located in a peaceful Vikas Colony avenue away from the hustling noises of the city. Despite this, it provides commute access to the major Hazratganj market just 8-10 minutes away. The rooms are good and well maintained and the common room is a lovely place to hangout. Highly recommended.

A perfect place for a backpacker. Clean beds, clean toilets, courteous staff, early check in(if beds are available, in my case they had available beds with them). I stayed for a weekend. Checked in on Saturday morning till Sunday afternoon. Breakfast(Aaloo Parantha with curd) is too heavy loaded and I can bet you won't feel hungry till evening snacks(if you have a small appetite like me 😅). I will surely recommend anyone coming to Lucknow to at least give this place a try and then you will believe what I wrote here is true.

One of the best hostel experiences. Did not expect such amazing accommodation, service and location in Lucknow. Food was really good, Housekeeping and cleaning is regular, Spacious rooms with balcony, enough place to lock luggage, each bed even has a workstation attached. Staff is prompt and cooperative. It's a great place to stay at on a budgeted trip. It's very close to Hazratganj. We stayed for three days. The place was pretty clean and well maintained. They also provide home cooked meals, all of which is specially cooked by the owner's grandmom. Other people living there were very friendly and there are common spaces where one could gather to simply hangout. The care taker is super friendly and is very helpful.

Loved the place. Situated in posh location of Lucknow, it was very neat and clean. The staff was super helpful. He went out of his way to help me, else I would have missed my train. One difficulty I found was of public transport . Had to walk for more than a kilometre to find a Rick/bus. Another problem was that the location was not very clear. Ola and uber wouldn't reach there easily.

We would like to thank once again to Yash Mittal and his hostel Backpackers Den for a great stay in Lucknow. The hostel is a nice 2 floor house with the rooms situated in 2nd floor, it offers both private and shared rooms. The rooms are clean and each bed has a locker and outlets (also European ones). The kitchen, living room and bathrooms are ok. The dinner which we ordered was really tasty. The location is in quiet and safe residence zone not far from the most places you wanna see in Lucknow (5-15 min by tuk tuk). However what we liked the most was the hospitality and helpfulness of the owner Yash Mittal. It was really nice of him firstly - to offer us a ride to hostel late in the evening from one bar - secondly - to help us with finding local sim card - thirdly - to help us book a bus ticket and even arrange us a place for pickup. Overall highly recommended place to stay in Lucknow. Wishing great luck 🙂

Everything is cool including a separate Kitchen and TV room was great. Only negative I found was Jet spray in Washroom is weird and extremely forceful (iykyk)! Plz use it carefully!

The dorm room, floors, bedding, and attached bathroom are clean. There is a kitchen with filtered water to refill your bottle and a common room. The staff was attentive and helpful. It’s a walk or short ride to most historic sites, and the colony is quiet with no traffic or honking. Happy I found this affordable hostel.

For a good time and excellent service, this place is a must visit. It has lovely ambiance and responsive staff. I would definitely recommend it for comfortable stay at affordable prices and enjoy some authentic dishes from their Cloud kitchen which they operate from the same property

We stayed overnight in their economy twin room. The place is in a good location, with excellent hygiene and highly responsive staff. All amenities are available, and they are rather helpful at all points of the stay. Highly cooperative.

The stay surrounds near to peaceful location. The room neat and clean. We also get a good food from their cafe. Breakfast is free, only faces the problem with Airtel network and wifi was on & off.

If you want an affordable bunk bed with great facilities then Backpackers Den should be your choice.

We stayed in a private room with attached bathroom. The room was very small, the bathroom was clean but the water drain wasn’t working properly. The bed sheets, door mat were not clean. It was very noisy in the night as the staff’s room was right next to ours. Overall average

Absolute disgrace of a hostel business. They allowed my booking and did not bother to tell me unmarried couples are not allowed nor did they have it anywhere in the app in relation to booking the property. Disgusted by this disrespectful way of operating making me waste hours of my time just because my friend and I are not married even though we aren’t even together

The gysers are turned off without informing the guests and they even argued for turning it on. Mosquito repellent isnt provided, neither toiletries are given.

Trust me staying in Hostel was one of the best experiences I have ever had. It helped me interact with lots of people specially outsiders. People were really good and spending time with them was a whole different experience. It will help you explore alot of new things.

Oh God!!! The place is bang on.. the stay was very comfortable and Mukesh bhaiya is there whenever you need any help. Very safe for solo female travellers. The room was spacious , Well lit and good wifi connection. You can cook your meals too

A very comfortable and cozy place for travellers. Location is 10 min away from Charbagh Railway Station and 30 min from the air port. Owner Harsh and staff Pankaj and very helpful. Food is yummy. Highly economical. Had visited the place during the DefExpo, had a great time. Wifi is good.

Never experienced hospitality as I've experienced in Backpacker's den. The experience of cleanest washrooms, on time breakfasts and home cooked clean food in the times of covid. I'd recommend this hostel in Lucknow as the best in town.

The accommodation is good and so is the location but the service of the employees of the establishment is very poor and unprofessional. Food quality requires improvement and so does customer service.

Very cozy environment , WFH friendly . Mornings are really refreshing as it is surrounded by greenery . Enough space to stay inside the entire day and not get bored . Well managed and very nicely decorated

Me and my friend stayed at the backpackers den and had a very restful stay. The cleanliness was superb and the host was very warm to talk to. I simply enjoyed the stay at negligible price with the quality of an upscale motel. He told us which places to visit on our short trip which was very helpful. I will stay here on our next trip 100%

One of the most hygienic and spacious hostels I've stayed in India, Harsh is a great hosts and Sandeep helps you with everything you need. The breakfast which is served here is heavy and delicious. Lastly they have a nice common area with amenities like TV etc. where you can chill.

This was my first experience in a hostel and I must say that it was a good experience. The room rent was quite reasonable, the food quality was excellent and hygienic and the staff is friendly and courteous. Moreover, it is centrally located which is a great advantage. I would like to recommend everyone who is visiting Lucknow should come and stay at Backpacker's den if they really want a memorable experience.

It was such a homely feeling with perfect work space seems like i was at my place zero intervention. And complimentary breakfast was cherry on the cake. Dinner was completely homemade tastes like maa ke hath ka khana. Overall amazing and wonderful experience. Thank you for this wonderful hospitality.
