I am so thankful to have found Heading Health. Several months ago I was seeing a terrible psychiatrist who didn't listen to me and just gave me more and more pills to take. I couldn't take it anymore and came across Heading Health. Since day 1 every person I have talked to has been kind and professional. I see Helena Hernandez and I can't thank her enough for everything she has done for me. I'm still working on myself but I'm in a much better place because of her. I have also had counseling sessions with Kim Johnson and she is wonderful. I have talked to some great and some not so great therapists before but Kim is in my top 3 for sure. Both of these ladies genuinely seem to care about my well being. Even when I lost my health insurance I still kept my appointments because they are well worth my money. I can't say enough good things about my experiences. Thank you to Helena, Kim, and everyone else at Heading Health.

I followed Dr. Fred to Heading Health from a different practice. He was one of the first doctors who was patient and understanding of my medication fears. I am sensitive to most anxiety meds and my family has a history of substance abuse. I feel safe with my treatment plan. Now that I'm struggling with postpartum, I have someone I'm already established with in my corner and it's a huge weight off my shoulders.

When I started going to Heading, things were good. I was one of the first patient's that came into the practice. I truly felt that I had finally found the light at the end of the tunnel. I finally met a doctor who listened to me and didn't gaslight me... (Dr. Lippe is fantastic!) I am very glad he moved to a different practice as he is such a fantastic physician who deserves to be in a better place! In the two years that I was a patient in the practice, they changed management, staff, and it seemed like turn over rates are high. The doctor I was assigned too never seemed to remember what we talked about and he would ask me to verify the dosage of my medication... I thought he was the doctor, not me. Management told me that we had made a payment arrangement, but failed to communicate this to billing and of course it became heresay and now I am stuck with a ridiculous "payment arrangement because this is the best that they can do". DO NOT come here for your mental health needs. The practice is going downhill.

I feel a need to write this in hopes someone who looks into Heading Health can make an informed decision on who they use for their mental health needs. When I first started with Heading, it went well. I had multiple appointments with the same doctor & she was great. I was then moved to another doctor based on mine going on maternity leave & was told when she returned back I would be able to move back to my original doctor. Since then, I was passed from doctor to doctor with MULTIPLE cancellations in between thus making it close to impossible to get my medications refilled. This, on top of horrible communication & client service is truly dangerous as a mental health facility. I was left with no response via email & phone calls for months. I finally left the practice & now in Jan 2024- I have received invoices for appointments I already paid for from May 2023 and even invoices for appointments they cancelled. After emailing with their billing customer service to hopefully get an understanding, I was met with a rather dry & not friendly response. Alas, they fixed my invoices, the least I could ask for, but appreciate my time with them being done & over.

Waited weeks for my telehealth appointment then never got a link for it. I called and they said it was a bug in their system and now I'd have to wait another 3 weeks for an appointment. Please fix your tech issues and accommodate patients when appointments are missed due to no fault of their own

I had virtual visits, and we would talk may 5 minutes at the most. I asked to schedule specific testing with the call center. Had to pay before the last appointment I had for the doctor to tell me that he doesn't do the testing. I feel like the last few months have been a waste of my time and money.

Overall the experience was good. One unprofessional staff member can make all the difference in perception. Especially in a contentious situation. Almost as if that staff member has no realization that the clients have mental health issues and how they’re affected by them. Also displays a lack of awareness that demeanor is part of professionalism.

Avoid at all costs - The way their billing department treats patients is absolutely disgusting. Despite sending a message to my therapist 26 hours before our appointment asking if we could cancel our weekly telehealth session - and my therapist confirming that is ‘Not a problem! See you next week’ - I was charged an obscene amount for a ‘late cancellation’. When I spoke to a woman in the billing department, she scolded me for not reading the financial documents which state they require 48 hours notice for a cancellation, and that there’s nothing they can do about the charge. I told her my therapist sent me a message within the portal saying it was not a problem, and the therapist canceled the appointment herself after my inquiry. She could not care less, and again reminded me about the financial documents. An absolutely despicable way to treat therapy patients, and for this I would not recommend Heading Health to anyone. 48 hours is a ridiculous cancellation policy to begin with, but the way they treat people by misleading and then scolding them is even worse. Stay far away.

Appointment was canceled one hour before its scheduled time. Fine. I called their main line to reschedule -- was on hold for 30 mins. No one answered. I attempted to route myself via different menu options -- for example, returning versus new patient -- and, you guessed it, no one answered. Determined to see a provider, I resorted to filling out a new patient consultation form via their webpage for the next morning at 8 am. You guessed it. No one showed up. I wish I was making this up. Needless to say, taking my business elsewhere.
