I rented the upstairs room for a private event. The food was about 30 minutes late and the ac was not working (thermostats were reading 78 degrees). The on-site manager offered a 20% discount for our inconvenience. Offsite managers replied to my followup that these problems were our fault and that the best they could offer was $300, instead of the promised 20%. They have since stopped replying to emails. This property markets itself as equipped for large parties but clearly struggles to meet basic service requirements. You’re better off somewhere else.

Went here because the reviews were excellent. Honestly not very good. The crab frites were good, but tiny and expensive. I got the steak frites….ew! The chewiest steak ever and for $27 no chance. The cocktails were fine. Wouldn’t go back

I recently hosted a corporate dinner at Parkside. I made a reservation a month prior and even emailed about 2 weeks later to inquire about a private room. No one ever replied to my email, so I decided to just continue with my normal reservation. On the day of the event, I called to see if I could drop off some favors for my guests ahead of dinner. The host then told me that my reservation was actually showing for a different date. Obviously, this was an enormous issue, since I had several executives who had flown in from out of state. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate our party, however the host was sure to give me enough attitude on the phone, so that I understood their annoyance. Upon arriving, said host continued to be extremely rude and clearly had no interest in helping me. The saving grace during this experience was our wonderful server. He was extremely kind and provided us with excellent service. You can thank him for preventing this from being a 1-star review. Maybe he can help the host turn that frown upside down.

Parkside Parkside Parkside I work in food industry and really enjoy it and for this server to miss my order 2x is beyond me he brings everyone drinks out not mine strike 1. He comes back and tell us all we are basically are out of the 3/5 of the things they had on the menu not really a strike cause things happen strike 2 came when the server checked back on the table no drink in hand that I've already placed he asked if we wanted the bill instead of bringing my drink now while everyone was getting and enjoying there choice beverages I was sitting there unhappy he looks Indian with cool hair kinda tall I won't recommend this place to anyone the server seem like he was high or something anyway Parkside get your staff and menu together this is Austin not the slums of Beverly Hills.

Go for happy hour!!! So worth it. Lots of half prices items (apps, oysters, drinks, and more) Steak tartare tostada was great, lots of tartare stacked on top and i thought the red sauce was very complimentary Calamari was a light fry if that makes sense. They give a mix of the rings and the legs The steal here is the half price east coast oyster platter!! Half price all night on wednesdays, so it comes out to $16 for a dozen. And you get 3 different kinds of oysters- chefs choice, so its different every week is what i think the waitress told us Shrub it off cocktail is delicious Again, everything we had was half price! Cant get any better than that

We went for the chef inspired Valentine's dinner. It's was lovely 4 course meal grilled octopus, winter salad, grilled scallops and a strawberry mousse. The bartender made some nice cocktails, one with pear and one with strawberry. Nice atmosphere, cool place to go and grab a bite.

Great food their steak was just refreshing and amazing. The alcohol was great a bit pricier but great flavor to making a good Ole old-fashioned. It's a great place for a date. The ambience was beautiful. It would be even better if it had a rooftop

Tonight was our first opportunity to dine with colleagues from around the country since the start of the pandemic. Tara effortlessly guided us through the menu and wine list, and helped make our evening a delicious and memorable reunion. Thank you, Parkside.

We really enjoyed this place and going during their happy hour (5-6pm) makes the menu a lot more affordable. Everything is half off! We had a charcuterie board and their classic platter which included 6 oysters, 4 shrimp, and ceviche. For happy hour, I give this place 5 stars.

We had Parkside cater for our recent anniversary party celebration and the food and drinks were amazing! Our guests really enjoyed both the braised short rib and seared Texas redfish entrees, as well as the delicious passed appetizers to start. The drinks were also excellent, especially our speciality cocktail of sangria. The staff was very attentive and professional as well. Highly recommend Parkside for catering your next party!

This food was so good. It's all fresh ingredients, mostly local. Above the food was the service. Friendly, professional, quick. Even split the check the way I needed for my employer. It was great!

Always great food! Best happy hour! Try the crab fritters. This place is consistently amazing. We stop there for dinner or happy hour each trip and this time two times. Happy hour still great, food is amazing and staff is warm and welcoming. This time, we had oysters both time which were so fresh from East Coast and I always have to get the crab fritters. Everything is farm to market and you won’t have a bad bite. Thank you Abby and Trevor

I went here for dinner and found out the price should be categorized as $$$. There were not many people in the restaurant but it took quite a while to get our food. The server is very nice, but there were not many choices for seafoods. The flavor was not that great but no salt or pepper bottles on the table!

Used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Austin. We moved out of country for work for about 6-7 months and came back and came here shortly after. My girlfriend got the burger and the bun was stale which was bizarre and just poorly put together. She’s never sent food back before but she was close to on our visit which is completely out of the norm for her. I got the egg sandwich it was my favorite one in Austin by far prior, used to have a runny egg and well toasted bread and just a well put together sandwich. The eggs were over cooked the yolk was hard boiled due to them being over cooked and one piece of bread was toasted the other was not. It was sad to say the least. The service was lacking the hostess was on her phone for most of the night and our server was on his as well and forgot to bring drinks and etc. We won’t be back but hopefully the service and food can be fixed because it truly was a great resturant at one point. It was a ghost town on a Friday night when we went in which was just sad to see.

Cocktails looked fancier and tastier on the menu rather than palette. The balance was lost. The oysters were awesome good for happy hour only.

They have happy hour EVERYDAY 5-6 so that's a plus... half price apps and drinks at the bar. Also, the bartender was awesome. My food was taking way too long and she gave me a drink on the house. I'd go back for cheap drinks but other than that, there's nothing over the top about the food.

This place is expensive, but well worth it. Excellent cocktails and my duck dinner was superb. Staff was super friendly. The space had lots of great booths as well as a nice bar area.

Great food, ambience and service. We ordered the oysters and a few of the other dishes from the happy hour menu to share and everything tasted like a treat.
