For date night, we chose Péché and I'm glad we did! There were candles at every table and up at the bar, they have gorgeous chandeliers and wall fixtures that really create a whole vibe. They have amazing happy hour specials and drinks; I love that there's a gigantic wall of alcohol behind the bar, so much that the bartenders need ladders to get to everything; I was impressed to say the least. I had a Tiki Soda and a Daiquiri…both made with rum and both super delicious! My appetizer was the Mac & Cheese with Gruyere and Duck…I was mesmerized - and with it being on the happy hour menu, I highly recommend! I didn’t get to take a picture of it, but the short ribs with mashed potatoes and mushrooms made my night! The meat was so tender, juicy and was just as good the best day when I ate my leftovers. They were pretty busy for it being Thursday at 6:30 but I understand that their happy hour is very popular. Our appetizers came out pretty quick, but We didn’t end up getting our entrees until a little after an hour after we ordered and our second drinks took almost as long. This doesn’t take away from their great food and service, I just suggest going during a less busy time. We spent around $70 per person here and got every dollars worth. I definitely look forward to coming back for happy hour.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Austin. They have the best Mac and cheese and French onion soup. My favorite drink is the pink moon but Austin (the bartender) makes a mean mojito. On my birthday, the chef saw me googling stuff about the menu, came over and explained the process and ingredients. It was incredible!

Nice place. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and professional staff. Good food. Good quantity and quality. Their mushroom fries and cream brulee are really good. Nice place for causal dining. The place can be a bit loud. The Texas mule is really good.

Peche is awesome. Have been visiting the bar for years. Great cocktails! But only recently realized how great their food is, too. This is a place I feel totally comfortable eating on the adventurous side. Bone marrow, foie gras, tartar… everything is really fresh and delicious. I’ve never been disappointed. This is just really great French cooking done well in a great setting. The bar is huge and the service very attentive. If you can, visit during happy hour. A lot of great cocktails and menu items are half price!

A pub with the prices of a high end restaurant. Definitely sit at the bar for the optimal experience as I wouldn't recommend being seated at the tables. The noise level was high and the walkway was crowded due to the overspill of people at the bar. This is not a refined place to enjoy a celebratory dinner except if you are looking for a boozy birthday meal before hitting up 6th Street. We had to flag the server down for the check and never got refills on our ice tea despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We had the Mac and Cheese with Gruyere and duck meat which was absolutely delicious. The Prime NY Strip w/butter was amazing and the Roasted Quail was pretty but required some work to get the meat out. Overall, this was a really disjointed experience between the food and the atmosphere.

The burger is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The scallops were also perfectly cooked. Soft and creamy. The ketchup has a unique sweetness from the apple cider vinegar, and the fries are so delicious. The service was excellent. The waiter left us alone just enough that we weren't being bothered, but was still very helpful and attentive. Chocolate tort was decadent but I didn't hate myself after eating. Same with the burger. Clean flavor profiles and nothing was greasy.

After eleven years of dining here, I’ve admitted to myself that the service is good, but not great. We have had our table given away by the hostess because we wanted to order a drink from the bar (yes a misunderstanding), and have had our food show before our drinks. The food is good, as well. It’s a great hamburger and steak, but any time I branch out I’m disappointed. The food is either overcooked (think duck), bland (think your first pot roast when your forgot salt and herbs ) or over saturated (think super sweet and rich rabbit). I just haven’t found the balance the past few years. I will continue coming back, but will keep asking myself why. Maybe I should stick to cocktails and charcuterie, which rarely disappoints.

Good food, excellent service. Hard to park due to downtown Austin. We parked in a pay lot a few blocks away. Prices are what you would expect for a special occasion but not something we would do on a regular basis. Our table bill for 5 was $330. Was also very loud inside and was hot on the night we went. Tables are very close due to seating capacity. It was a little hard for our group to carry on conversations without shouting down the table. We had a good dinner and I would go back. I had the orange duck and really like it. 👍🏽

This place has its own VIBE!!! We loved it. Fun. Cute. Classic. The bartenders are phenomenal and friendly. We just came here for dessert and a drink. Creme Brule was fabulous! I would definitely come back here!!

What a great little restaurant and bar! I've been a couple of times and tried a bunch of the drinks and items from the menu. The highlights are the burger, escargot, and anything duck. Oh yeah, and you have to get the frittes (fries)! True Perfection.

Service was fantastic, the mushroom fritters and escargot were both winners. Cocktails were great. The only let down was the sweetbreads, they lacked flavor and the dish was just heavy with butter. It would have been better with some acid, but overall, great experience. We'll be back

Highly recommend the deviled eggs...one of the best. Hard to move in a wheelchair so beware some steps to get in the front doors... recommend reservations. Clean interior with great servers. A nice Absinthe bar...the restaurant itself looked awesome and the bar was great but my food and the people next to me agreed that some dishes we're bland. The Menu was inspiring but cold scallops are not but the mushrooms fritter was out of this world delicious...I would try to go for a brunch...no valet parking.

Delicious! My sister and I have had our eye on this restaurant for a while and finally gave it a try last week! We did small plates with mushroom fritters, deviled eggs, and oysters Rockefeller. All 10/10. We were hesitant over the deviled eggs because of the price but they were easily the best I’ve had in my life. Can’t wait to come back and dine again!

I had a delicious burger and fries - great deal during happy hour! It was my first time eating here and I really enjoyed it. Service was great as well.

It's a wonderful place. I'm sure I'm adding to the stack of stellar reviews as this place is an Austin staple. Mood lighting and cozy booths to offer an intimate feel. Fantastic service from our server, who also had excellent recommendations. We only popped in for drinks but ended up getting some bites to snack on. The bone marrow and frites is a dish after my own heart, I love it when that is on a menu. The special marrow spoons were also a nice addition, I have not seen in many places. Steak tartare is not my thong but my friend loved it and couldn't get enough. The cocktail menu is BIG so take time to peruse the menu. I didn't get a chance to snap photos of my drinks but they have a fig Manhattan that is pretty potent and unique. I myself enjoyed many French 75s. Love the variety and the vibe here I will definitely be back.

The vibe is kind of pretentious, but the food and drinks are AMAZING 🤩 We went during happy hour, where some drinks are $6 and some food is half off. The drinks were smaller than normal, but the food is pure value. If you come here, I’d suggest getting non happy hour drinks but still get happy hour food. The beef cheeks and crème brûlée are the on happy hour but are still amazing and totally worth it

The food was delicious, but the service was even better. The half chicken was juicy and tender. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The burger was one of the best I've ever had. The Bananas Foster was amazing!

Lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Very chic. Lots of cocktails to choose from, and the ones we tried were quite good. The food was hearty and comforting. Plus, there are great prices if you go during happy hour!

Fantastic ambience, warm service. The menu is unique and the food and drink were excellent. They were able to substitute a different base for a cocktail upon request. The charcuterie was especially noteworthy and the bread was hot and fresh. The little attention to detail in the seasoning and flavoring contributed a lot to every dish. If I had to nitpick, the marrow probably pairs better with bread over fries given its fattiness. I'm not sure if that was an option, but the fries were very good regardless and that may be my personal preference.

A dining experience that will keep you wanting more. We first visited this great establishment for my birthday dinner, we were instantly blown away by the decor and atmosphere, and happy to say didn't stop there. The service is welcoming, professional, and unlike what one may have the pleasure of normally. Robb, or server/ host to the evening, took such care of us aiding with the selection process along with their executive chef also Rob. 😀 Together this tag team made my celebratory evening special and memorable. Fast forward two weeks later, we decided to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday there and had the pleasure of both Robs once again! From then on we have designated this culinary gem our "date night"spot. Thank you deeply Robb, you make each time an experience to be desired till the next go around. We look forward to exploring more of this beautifully thought out menu. Deviled eggs, bone marrow, world class burger, duck, etc. ..

My girlfriend and I stopped in here to try out the happy hour burger that I have heard only good things about. From the start of the service was absolutely fantastic and the vibe in here was very nice. Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 Tuesday to Friday and is half off all the items on the menu marked with a star. This meant the burger was $10.50, which was a fantastic deal. The mac & cheese was also have price which brought it down to $9. The food was great, and I have absolutely no complaint. The server really was authentic and enthusiastic about the food here and you could tell he really knew his stuff. All in all everything was fantastic. The only reason I left a four-star was when we were pretty disappointed with the clear miscommunication of the worker. We asked if they do anything for birthdays, and he said absolutely, and then started to list off all the dessert items. When he brought out the bill, they charge for the item, even though he made it very clear that it was on the house. He then acted completely shocked when we questioned the item on the bill. We were full and content, but when he acted as though it was on the house we couldn’t turn it down. This was pretty disappointing, but other than this again, everything was fantastic.

Delicious food, amazing cocktails. The portion sizes are good and we love that they experiment with their menu. Most of all, the staff seemed to be having a good time and that spoke volumes. This place is a vibe!

I had made a reservation for the next evening with my friends and colleagues. I stopped by the night before to check the place out and it met all of my expectations. The bartender was knowledgeable, made excellent craft cocktails, and had good recommendations for what to do in Austin while in town for a conference. The next night, six of us had dinner there and the food was fantastic. The one was delicious and well priced. The bourbon selection is excellent and more than fairly priced. Their cocktails are top of the line. Consider trying one with absinthe. See the video for the classic presentation. Their Weller 12 year is very well priced.

Excellent spot with a nice atmosphere. Mood lighting and an extensive bar. The cocktails are on point. I highly recommend you get one of the custom drinks they have on the paper menu. The veal with stuffed mushrooms on their specials list was fantastic.

Cool spot, very crowded. Our table (with a reservation) was so close to other tables that we had to ask each other permission to get out from the table. Overall the food was good and they have a massive bar. Our server was fairly preoccupied, but it was also slammed. I really just wish they spaced the tables out a bit more.

Very traditional and hearty French food, the touch of horseradish in the mash potato as part of the pork cheeks was a lovely touch to break up some of the richness in the dish. The devilled eggs were delicious and creamy.
