This is one of the best bars in the world. I don’t say that lightly. Look, not only are they in a great location, in the heart of a thriving city (East Austin)… not only do they have one of the most popular and delicious food trucks on site (Golden Tiger)… not only do they have an interesting historical context with both the ownership and the building(Texas tobacco history)… and not only do they have one of the most charming speakeasies in the entire city… I could go on for hours. I’ll get down to brass tax… The drinks are incredible and the people making them even more so. The staff here is everything you want when visiting a bar like this. They care about cocktails and they care about people. They value your time, your money, and want you to leave satisfied. It’s impressive enough to make drinks that are this well thought out, this delicious, etc. BUT THEY MAKE THEM SO FAST. Whislers is a high volume cocktail bar. I’ve been to bars all over the world and seldom can I get to the counter and back in under five minutes when ordering a craft cocktail. This place is an Austin classic. It’s iconic. Savor your moments at this place. Strike up conversations with your bartenders and allow yourself to feel adventurous while visiting.

Fantastic cocktail bar here in Austin! I have been here for several happy hours and the vibes are always great. Not a party bar, but great to relax and have a fantastic cocktail. The Rabbit’s Run from March ‘23 was incredibly good - so refreshing, creamy and tasty. I had 3 of them and I hope that this drink stays a staple as it was immaculate.

Classic Austin cocktail bar doubled down as a good hangout spot with loads of outdoor seating. Whisler’s is easily on of my favorite spots in the city. It’s got an old rustic castle vibe that plays great tunes and is dog friendly. The cocktails are incredible and unique. They also have food trucks on the regular apparently. We tried one of the chicken sandwiches from Golden Tiger and it was fuego.

I brought my company team of ~40 to Whisler's for an after work social event. They were great, accommodating us with bracelets for our group and a reserved space. They have a food truck outside that can provide various entrees and fries. We had a great time here and really enjoyed the ambiance.

I love this place. They took so much care to make the atmosphere super bomb. The candles with the incense sticks over them to give an awesome scent. The decor is amazing and I feel like I’m in NOLA. The cocktails were so so good. Amazing. I love this place.

Mescal cocktails and apple outdoor patio. Rumor has it there is an additional Mescal specific bar on the top floor only open Fri/Sat. Will be back to check it out next weekend.

Neat cocktails! They were dangerously good! Indoor area is really unique. Love how open the outdoor area is.

Great outdoor area, the vibe and decor inside were very cool with high ceilings, exposed stone and a chandelier. The cocktails were excellent and pretty reasonable during happy hour! We had the queen bee and the sun stone—both were excellent—worth a stop if you’re looking for a good cocktail in Austin. Also had a food truck serving killer burgers

What a great cocktail bar! Service was quick, and though it was pretty crowded inside, there was plenty of space to enjoy our drinks out on the patio. I'd have stayed to have another, but the Austin night called. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

This place is always happening. It's the premier cocktail bar on East 6th. There's always a crowd during the busy times and there's a great outdoor patio when it isn't too hot to relax. Their stone building with great bartenders makes for a great place to chill for a bit. The music is somewhat loud, but it's still a good place to have a loud conversation. Happy hour 4-7pm takes $15 drinks down to $10

Great menu of rotating drinks and multiple bars to explore and grab a drink. The cocktails on the menu are always interesting and you can get any classic drink you want. Good Austin staple

Really great casual bar. The cocktails are refreshing, the space is good for large parties and casual get togethers because they have a decent size outdoor area, an upstairs, and some indoor seating. The bar tenders are super nice and friendly. Over all a great place to get a drink.

Loved the Mezcal drink, it had interesting flavors that meshed together real well. The Thai drink was pretty but a bit sweet for me. The inside of Whislers has a great ambiance and all the bartenders are fast, friendly, and helpful. There isn't a whole bunch of room inside, but it has a enclosed tent area that's perfect for the over flow and you don't have to sit out in the elements.

This place is huge with the tents they have. The cocktails were really good. There is plenty of seating room for larger groups if you get there early. Only reason for 4 stars is there are 2 bathroom stalls for such a large venue. That is cruel. Good mix of music. 2 bars is great. There is also a tequila bar upstairs, did not get to check that out.

The atmosphere is really cool and makes you feel like you are not in the middle of downtown Austin! The bar tenders are fast and friendly, they always manage to make a perfect drink! If you love craft cocktails this is the place to go!

The bartenders are master artisans that offer exceptional cocktails, but that is just the start. The atmosphere is soothing and inviting for all. With each of five senses, it’s easy to tell no detail was spared; the woodsy aroma, the reclaimed urban decor, the taste of perfectly crafted drinks, the thoughtful and relaxing playlist, the textures of each furnishing. The team at Whilsler’s teach a Master Class on the neighborhood bar experiences tha other places around Austin strive for. Stop in and I bet this will become one of your favorite spots too!

Whislers is a just one of the many bars you’ll find along East 6th. Not my favorite, but draws a crowd. It’s a popular spot, but you have to ask yourself if the atmosphere is worth the price tag. The cheapest drink is $14 and it only goes up from there. The inside bar is dark and moody, it’s also cramped and humid on the weekends. An interesting feature is the upstairs mezcal bar. That might be worth the trip. Otherwise it’s no different from any other patio around Austin, I’d go somewhere else for cheaper drinks or a higher end aesthetic.

Cool bar, good seating outside, waits for a drink can be really long but that’s to be expected. I work in luxury hospitality, was really disappointed in the wine pour. We ordered 5 glasses of wine total, the first round was poured into cups and great, second round was poured into glasses that are 4oz max, so the pour was roughly 3.5. $16 for 3.5 oz of (not high end) wine. It’s my personal pet peeve as someone in the industry, but honestly you guys that’s ridiculous. When I came back to the table everyone laughed at how comically tiny it the wines were. Definitely won’t be back for a glass of wine. I would have a chat with your bartenders about consistency maybe.

Really great bar for cocktails. My wife and I stopped in and ordered two house frozen tequila drinks. Not only were the drinks strong, but they tasted fantastic. The atmosphere is also really wonderful - the bartenders help since they are friendly and attentive. We were able to be served within 3 minutes even though the bar was packed. We will be returning next time we are in the area.
