If you can crack the code, this place is SO worth it. Definitely exceeded my expectations! It’s everything I love about a bar; the interior aesthetic is amazing, I love the red lighting, the swings and the candles at every table. The staff were super nice and made us feel comfortable and I got a good kick out of the drink names. I ended up getting the Freshman Experimentation, which was a heavenly hibiscus cocktail with vodka. For sure just needed one of those! Something you should know before going: when you open a tab, a $50 authorization will be put on your card until you close out but that wasn’t a problem, nor did it take away from the experience. I’m glad Floppy Disk was able to make it through the crazy past year, it lived up to all of the hype!

All I wanted to do was get my floppy disk fixed! We arrived early, the code didn't work, even after opening the code still didn't work:(. Luckily a call to the manufacturer got us into the lavish waiting room of Floppy Disk Repair! Classy and unique are two words that only begin to describe this awesome little speakeasy. It's a bit small, but it is very comfortable and easy to hold a conversation. The movie of the evening combined with the horror themed decor, red lighting and flamboyant tribute to the Texas chainsaw massacre really makes this bar unique. They prepare their drinks at a pace of their own, but they don't miss a beat, so rest assured everything they deliver is quality. The staff are great and personable, not very good with floppy discs, but excellent when it comes to everything else. Cheers!

We had a great time here on a Tuesday night. Great ambience and drinks. We had some cocktails and mocktails. The bartender was great. Lots of showmanship with the drinks he served. Would definitely recommend people to go for a great time.

"Wonderful cocktails in a rad environment" First thing to know, this is a pass coded speakeasy, and the code does change often. I'd recommend going to a nearby saloon and treating the bartender real nice, and maybe they'll help you out with getting an invite. Drinks were absolutely top notch here, with hilarious names and descriptions. Prices were around 15$ a drink. There is a happy hour until ~6pm with $10 cocktails. Highly recommend coming during happy hour. Staff were all super friendly and we will definitely return!

Funny, fun place for a couple cocktails. The menu is hilarious. We shared a table with some nice people. Loved the music. Average White Band playing in the background and The Shining on tv. Perfect vibe.

I never feel floppy disc'd when I visit this spot! Love that you have to have a code to get in and inside is intimate with quirky decor. I highly recommend the following drinks: "These Trix are not for Kids" and "Penicillin" . They are strong and tasty!

This little place was very neat & unique! We had to give a secret password to enter so you’ll need to figure that out, but its worth your time! We just had a couple drinks and left to allow other patrons in to experience this nice little place. 😁

You need a code to get in, which makes it feel very exclusive. The menu does not have any prices listed and for two cocktails we paid $50. The drinks weren't bad but they weren't really $25 good, we got the racketeer and the choke me. I would recommend Small Victory or Roosevelt over this spot if you're looking for higher quality cocktails (with prices listed).

Love the cocktails here, though the names could freak some out 🫣🤣. You would never guess this was a bar without knowing it. Horror teamed inside with some very cool "deco". Now the twist comes here..you can't get in....without a pin/code. You might get that at firehouse lounge 🤫

Drinks are pricey, but very well made and worth the experience! Cool speakeasy with a horror movie style theme. You do need to obtain the door code to enter.

We had an awesome time here last Friday night except that the guy at the door was aggressively rude and condescending. Otherwise everyone else was incredibly nice! Drinks were great, vibe was awesome, and the DJ was so cool! Would return and would speak to guy at door as little as possible lol

Well this place is just cool as hell! Recently voted the #1 speakeasy in Austin, it's clear why. To get in you have to have a code for the door(acquired from another bar in a scavenger hunt sort of thing) <OR> Tell a really embarrassing (and true) story from your life or a really inappropriate joke to the person watching the door. As we'd already been drinking and were wanting to make this our last stop, I chose the latter. Apparently my until now repressed childhood trauma of being tricked into thinking two of the popular girls liked me and covering my brand new white Chuck Taylors with their names at my 13th birthday party, then being laughed at them and their friends next day was sufficient. (I still hate the names Nicole and Kristi. Ha. 😅) The aesthetic was excellent, bartenders were great(thanks Joe!), and we haven't had so much fun getting blackout drunk in a long time. *We were walking, so all good. Ha Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're able. It scratches a specific itch.

This is one of my favorite bar atmospheres in the city for sure. Since it’s a bit hidden I was expecting very stern interactions w the staff, worried I wouldn’t seem cool enough for a speakeasy, but everyone was super friendly and hilarious. We got the wrong door code (accidentally received last month’s instead of this month’s), but one of the employees explained the issue on their side and let us right in. Drinks are pretty expensive (for someone who’s used to spending $6 per drink at clubs) but they’ve got great names and taste amazing. I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance (and the code!) and keeping an open mind with the drinks!

A hidden gem that is amazing I love the concept of this place. It's werid unique & a need to know only hunt to aquire entrance. It's become popular but other wise still an amazing place a little place. A little pricey but worth every penny to enjoy a good night with friends. The cocktails are unique amazing flavors and concepts the names are my favorite you will see what I mean. Absolutely a great place I recommend finding and figuring out how to get in. Enjoy the fun and drink responsibly

I am all about a nice speakeasy and this place did not disappoint. The DJ playing in the night I visited was in fire playing all the hits that had most of us dancing a little bit while enjoying some great cocktails. Can’t wait to return here next time in Austin

The bartenders here were truly phenomenal! The bartenders Joseph and mark and the rest whom I didn’t get a name were amazing. Funny and sarcastic individual people! It is a smaller place which is something I LOVED. If you want a nice and chill/funny vibe go here. I’m not even from around the area but the small interactions with everyone made me truly adore them. <3 the floppy disk bartenders that I have met tonight we’re so amazing and if you like a place that is less chaotic but still sooo worthwhile and entertaining definitely go here! 🧚🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥🖤

Went in because it was recommended by locals. However, the drink was alright and overpriced and the bartender was not attentive. The bartender was doing her make up at the bar when people tried to order drinks.

We were lucky enough to stop by this hidden gem during the Fourth of July weekend and it was incredible. You would never expect the vibe of the bar so I won’t ruin the surprise but it’s definitely unique. The staff were all INCREDIBLE and tailored drinks to each individual based on their favorite spirit. We had Mark as our bartender and I’m 100% sure that he’s the BEST bartender in Austin. Friendly, accommodating and the most knowledgeable bartender we’ve ever had. If you are in Austin, Floppy Disk Repair is a MUST.

This is a phenomenal speakeasy of sorts located in the heart of downtown Austin. To get the code for entry, you'll have to ask around and speak to other local bartenders. Once you have the code, you're in for a treat in this cozy and well decorated space. Drink prices for cocktails were a bit high for the area, but we're well made and very tasty.

A must-go speakeasy in Austin. The entire staff was phenomenal during my trip (7/24-7/26/2023). Great atmosphere, hilarious and delicious drink menu. Best way to find the code is to go to another bar in the area, be nice, and tip well! It's THAT easy! Fantastic stop. If I ever go back to Austin you better bet I'm stopping back here.

If there was something here, it would be amazing! I’m sure if there were like a secret bar here, it would have amazing staff, great vibes and great music. I’m sure they would have a cool menu with crazy drink names. But there is nothing there so ¯\_(•_•)_/¯ 🤫 🤫

Once hidden, now apparent. Phenomenal cocktails. Great staff. Worth the visit plus.
