Been to this location multiple times and it never fails. The Neapolitan style pizza is done to perfection and always a great variety of ingredients. My favorite is the Taleggio (sausage, mozzarella, scallions). But wait, there’s more! Did you know they also do brunch? The biscuits are buttery and flaky perfection. The homemade jam is always a treat. Then there is the shakshuka verde with roasted broccoli and cauliflower, parm, celery and egg — I know you may think it sounds odd but it is a delicious combination of flavors and textures. Trust me, you won’t regret it. And then there’s the hand pies. It seems like all things dough here are on another level. Usually filled with fruit and topped with ice cream which gives you the sweet and salty combo that make your taste buds tingle. You can’t go wrong. My husband and I make it a point to hit up brunch at least a couple times a month here.

This is a really great pizza place with quality ingredients and great crust. Plus an excellent happy hour and nice staff. The wine list is probably 10 pages long! If you’re missing a solid Neapolitan pizza, this can help hit the spot.

Bufalina is back on the east side of Austin and has the same old, delicious oven! Pizzas were still great, fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The new location is small and you feel it more than the previous. Intimate but tight. Apparently there are 400 types of wine, buy only 4 non-alcoholic beverage options. I'd love to see an expansion of the latter list.

Go early because the space is small and fills up fast. The apps, pizza, and wine are all amazing. The service is fast and very friendly. The only drawback to this location is the noise level when the restaurant is full. The chef let us try a dessert tart that isn’t on the menu yet... and it was a solid finish to a great dinner.

Great pizza and wine spot! There is usually a wait, but it is well worth it (and you can have a glass outside while you wait). The pizza is cooked in a blazing hot wood fired oven that sits in the middle of the restuarant. On top of that, they have one of the best wine lists in Austin, and really know their stuff. Would definitely recommend!

Such. Good. Pizza. My picky eater child didn't like it, but the rest of us really enjoyed ourselves. The crust is thin and chewy with a good edge. I especially love their tomato sauce. The service was good as well as friendly. Would happily return again. Funny note: their wine menu is about twenty pages long!!

Happy hour wine deal is great. Pastas and pizzas are very good. Staff is hit or miss, some have an attitude like if you came off the street begging for food and they’re doing you a favor. Others are super nice. If service was good all around it would be a solid 5 stars.

Over 2 hour wait and we arrived at 5 25 pm. We were told 1 hour wait and they kept delaying it. BEST PIZZA EVER THOUGH! The pizza is truly one of the best I had in Austin and our server was super nice and attentive, This would have been an easy 5 star review if it wasnt for the wait. I understand a popular place will have a wait but saying it will be 1 hour but then actually have it be over 2 is not acceptable. They said others have been waiting for 3 hours and that people are still eating and taking a long time. This restaurant had been open for a while so they should know better by this point or give people a time limit at the table. If you want to get dessert I highly recommend the chocolate mousse.

Service was top notch. Delicious pizza! Cesar salad and sourdough bread were over the top good! Love a crusty salty sourdough and they know how to do it right!

Red pie. Neapolitan style; one of the best pizzas in Austin. Amazing happy hour. Fresh ingredients, good wine list and vibe. While my go-to is a NY slice, I would gladly take Bufalina any day. To address a couple of points from other reviews: 1) Service and wait times: Every popular restaurant in Austin is busy, including the ones that take reservations and book out months in advance, so yes prepare for a wait esp. at happy hour. Service has always been good so far and relatively fast. Staff always friendly. Have been during the week and prime time happy hour on a Saturday. 2) Quality: Ingredients are really good, definitely not overrated. Pizza crust has a perfect balance of chew and crunch, not too thick. Pizzas are spot-on for Neapolitan style and have an interesting range of toppings. Good wine selection. Salads and dessert are also solid. 3) Price: This isn’t papa john’s or the “by the slice joint,” it’s a restaurant. Pizzas will probably run you around $15-20, but that’s become a pretty standard fare to dine out in the US unfortunately. If price is a factor, try the happy hour, it’s a really good deal!

You walk in and you ask for Jackie, then you order everything she recommends end stop. She will check for preferences and allergies and then serve you HEAVEN on a plate. I cannot stress this enough, put your trust in Jackie. 200% recommendation from a New Yorker that normally is not a fan of pizza, a Chicago girl, Austin local, California girl and wild card Indiana guy. Best dinner ever.

In the last two weeks, I've been to Bufalina on Cesar Chavez 4 times, I can't stay away. Jackie has been our server twice and she's been the absolute best. We love to go and it's an added treat when she is there. The food is incredible, fresh, and I can't wait to eat through the entire menu. The wine menu itself is the size of a Bible and the servers are all super knowledgeable, so you actually know what you are getting yourself into. Easily my favorite restaurant in Austin, if you can't tell from how much I've just raved about it!

The pizzas from here give a NYC pizza a run for its money! And it’s right here in Austin. The sauce is rich and tangy, and the decor is casual but fancy at the same time. The firing oven is right in the sitting area so you can watch your pizza being made while you sip one of their wines. Good place for friend meet ups, having a birthday dinner, or a sweet date.

Very good Italian style pizza in a very cozy atomosphere. I ordered the Corn and N’duja and Margherita pizzas. The margherita was reminiscent of eating at cafes in France and Italy and was delicious. The corn and n’duja was Mexican flavor inspired and uniquely delicious. I’d certainly come back to try other pizzas and other menu items (like my friends) next time

In the short while that the new location has been open, we've had the pleasure of eating here a couple of times already. The draw here is definitely the food. Food (5 out of 5) -- the starters, pasta, and pizza here are all outstanding. Kudos to Chef Grae Nonas! Wine, cocktails, beer (4) -- the wine list here is, as expected, excellent (solid 5 stars). The other options are fine, but not at the same caliber. Although the new space is larger, it is still fairly small which likely makes it a tough challenge for the bar. Service (mixed) -- we've had some great service, but also some really poor service. That's understandable for a restaurant that reopened just a week or so ago. I expect it will get better. Atmosphere (2) -- although larger than their previous space, it is still quite small. The relatively small space is also full of hard surfaces that cause the noise to at first seem fun and bustling (fun and fine for a bar), but for a meal it got to be irritatingly difficult to visit.

Really like the renovations, opening up the ceiling and the kitchen. Menu is not seasonal yet but that just reminds you why you go there in the first place, the wood fired crust, wine selection and draft beers on point. Every bit as charming as the original and even busier than before. Well done!

As a regular from the OG location, I’m happy to say, it’s even better than the original, but with the same charm and amazing staff. Oh, and they picked up the ultimate free agent in the meantime, Chef Grae Nonas of famous pasta pop-up Le Cowboy! Rania has built another EPIC wine list, all the delicious pizzas are back (insider tip: red pie + add sausage!), and Grae’s pasta dishes (dat bolognese yo) change lives! Easiest 5star review ever. Come early (4-530) and enjoy half off pizzas and all wine bottles under $100. Probably the best hh in town. Can’t wait to be a regular again. Congrats, Steven, Rania, Grae, and team!

The pizza was delicious Neopolitan style pizza as advertised. The wine was some of the best I've ever had (had a riesling of some sort, and instead of being overly sweet it had a balanced sweetness combined with a refreshing crispness like a bit of granny Smith apple). The service was incredible, if I could give the staff 6 stars instead of 5, I absolutely would. When we mentioned the desserts were a bit dairy heavy for us to order that late at night with triggering some reflux, the server instead had the chef whip up a fresh surprise no-dairy dessert option at no cost (no guarantees they'd do that all the time, just giving you an idea of the incredible service, that they're willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a good experience). Only downsides were the wait was ~45min, and the seating inside was a little crowded creating a pretty loud environment, but the food and service far outweighed the noise for overall a very enjoyable experience.

Second time eating here. Pizza is really solid, dough is chewy and soft like a Neapolitan. Great 🍅 sauce and mozzarella too. I also love the pasta 🍝 great surprise. Decor is simple but good. One small note, the music is a little too loud and the small speakers don’t do a great job.

Delicious Napoli style pizza (sourdough crust in Italian wood fired oven) in contemporary space with long shared tables, bar seating, and a row of 2 person tables. The service was incredible, someone constantly refilling your water, removing empty plates, and bringing by wine/food. Friendly and informative staff. Very extensive wine list with something for everyone and every price point! 2 appetisers (olives & cheese plate) 2 pizzas 1 glass of wine $87 w/ 20% tip

Stopped by Bufalina Pizza for Happy Hour at 4:30 pm. Such a great deal! We enjoyed a pizza half off and half off bottle of wine as well as their Caesar salad. Wine list is wonderful with lots of unique varietals and a mix of options. Caesar salad was one of the best we’ve ever had while dining out. We ordered the nduja pizza and realized we could have gone for a more classic flavor but the dough was a nice mix between chewy and light.

Once you get past the "privilege" of some of the patrons, the place is quite nice. The food is always excellent, the staff knows their craft, and they perform with passionate professionalism. It is a perfect repast on a late night. 🤌🏿

The pizza is amazing. The crust is light and airy, the toppings and tomato sauce are so fresh, the olive oil is imported… there’s no detail overlooked. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Best pie on the east side.

One of the best pizza’s i’ve ever had, and i love food in Austin but every time i come here never had the chance to have good pizza. But this was awesome, Neapolitan pizza, it was nice and chewy, delicious sauce 👍🏻 good service. I think it’s a chain they have couple of locations throughout the US but i would recommend it, you won’t be dissapointed.

Great atmosphere, intimate one room restaurant with pizza oven visible and in front of customers. They do not take reservations for parties less than 8. They do have several tables with communal style seating and also have some bar seats. The burrata was amazing! Extensive wine list. Pizza was delicious, we got the margarita, and mushroom pizza. Great date night place !
