Servers here are very friendly and helpful. The beer was tasty as usual. The food menu has changed since I was last here. I was a bit sad not to get the mac and cheese, but the new menu looked great! I got the chicken sandwich, and it was huge and tasty. Fries were cooked well. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, and it was a pretty day for the patio seating.

This place Is outstanding the food, service and the vibe second to none. It has a very chilled atmosphere and everyone is welcome here and made feel very comfortable. We ordered some food items and they were delicious. The beer really good and frosty cold which is my favorite. Overall come on by and visit you will have a great time.

Omg get the chicken sandwich and put spicy buffalo sauce on it. Just do it. Great service, awesome vibe, and some AMAZING ranch dressing! The music wasn't super loud and annoying. The beer was cold and I loved the Self Esteem as well as the Waterloo. You will not be sorry coming here! Will absolutely be coming back.

Great home brew beer, food is exceptional and location is perfect. They have water bowls for your pet! Specially on the 100° weather Parking is free, the train and bus station are right in front of it, perfect for going to Downtown. The menu change during the day so make sure to see the menu before heading to this location. Board games are available in this location. You can become a member for a fee and get good perks out of it. I like the new cut of their fries, much better than their previous cut. Would recommend ordering the chicken sandwich but order the sauces on the side. I tried the buffalo sauce and it was not great, the spice level was great but it just ruined the sandwich for me.

If Michael Stipe were working at a restaurant in Austin, this would be the one. Yes, that is a compliment. Relaxed atmosphere and the food they offer is executed well, though I wish they had more salads. I love the sour beer especially.

Only came to try out some local beer, no food order at all, so my review is only for the beer. Decent drinks, fav out of a flight was the El Nino IPA, it was nice and crisp and not too bitter. The other drinks were still good. Overall, nice vibe for casual drinks and hanging out. You can order food from a QR menu code on the table.

I had the black bean burger, fried okra, and the Vulcan rye IPA. Such a good lunch. The bartender was friendly, there is plenty of good seating, and overall a great place to chill and drink good beer. I also like that they have QR-code-driven payments available, or you can just go up to the bar.

Great local, neighborhood place. A cooperative, where members and owners actually work on site, and get to know you! Great beer and cider produced at the brewery on site. Food is good too; the spicy chicken sandwich was outstanding and the pie flight is a tasty delight that you can share with one, two or three other people! Be aware, it can be very noisy on weekends with a full house and live music/ trivia, and your food can take an hour or so to come out. If that's not your scene, go on a weekday...

Great brewery with great vibes. Friendly staff, great beers, and large space with lots of seating. The Fructis IPA was one of the best IPAs I’ve had in the city so far. Parking is very limited. Coop so no tipping here. Happy hour Tuesday- Friday! Great food selection on the menu. Inclusive and welcoming environment. The chicken Tikka fried sandwich is a delicious combo of a classic fried chicken sandwich and great curry flavors.

Incredible beer, incredible food, incredible ppl. It’s so awesome that they pay their staff fairly. Great art. Amazing vibe. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Best brewery I’ve been to in a long time.

I came here for a work happy hour and it was really good! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, good food and beer selection, and overall a unique vibe being located at the intersection of Lamar, Airport and the Metro Line station.

The beer was great. Especially the porter which I don't usually care for. I absolutely love the canner that makes huge cans. I also love you he co-op concept. And thanks for the vegan options.

Such a pleasant neighborhood brewery! Nice selection of locally brewed beers. Looking forward to trying the food.

TLDR: really solid lineup, with fantastic service. For the beer, I had two flights, and tried almost every housemade beer on tap. Overall, they are well above average, and are still above average when compared to the Austin market. The downside is they didn’t have any truly phenomenal beers. The service was really great. Both the people running the bar were super friendly and helpful! I did not have any of the food at the location, so I can’t speak for or against it. The location is nice, with both nice indoor, and outdoor seating.

Came here with some friends after finding out another place we frequent was closed and decided to try it out. Turned out to be a great decision. Staff was courteous and helpful and the food was pretty good. Was a little pricier than I was expecting, but still worth it. Had the impossible burger and was delicious! I'm personally not a fan of the seasoned fries but my friends loved them. My friends absolutely loved their meals and helped themselves to my fries. You clear off your own table, but they made sure the clearung bins stayed empty for the next table. Will definitely go back!

Still a great place to grab a beer. We used to take the train here and let the kids run wild. It’s not as busy on a Saturday early evening as it once was with all the competition around. But the beer is still fantastic and the atmosphere is still chill. An Austin original staple.

Great food, great people, great beer. We love Blackstar! It has become a staple for my wife and I. We sit on the patio with our dog, we like the causal atmosphere, the people centric vibe (no distracting TVs) and that by supporting the coop we are making the world a better place one beer at a time :-)
