Such an excellent and intimate live music venue! We're visiting Austin and had the pleasure to listen to a great band at the Continental Club. The musicians were professionals and all performed really well - we had a blast!!! Cannot comment on the mixed drinks but we were happy with the beer selection. Overall, our experience at the Continental made our trip substantially better. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone who enjoys good live music at a great atmosphere!

Very intimate venue with great bartenders and live music. Open since 1955 so I can only imagine the artists that have come through over the years. Five rows of high top seating with six seats per row, some comfortable booths against the right wall that can fit 4. Bar lines the left side of the venue. Full bar available, mixed drinks were well done (old fashioned, vodka cranberry, vodka soda lime). Thanks for a great night out!

Continental Club is my favorite live music spot in Austin. Why? - Because they always have amazing bands playing in the afternoon. Nothing better then a few Shiner Bocks , tunes, and then dinner.

Dale Watson Monday night honky-tonk was fantastic. Drank Lone Star and Iron Wolf all night, listened to his old school outlaw set, witty jokes and lovely better half. Drop on in for that old school Austin HT vibe.

Had a blast! The band members are so nice and down to earth. They let you take pictures with them and I feel they truly appreciate you. I would definitely recommend 100% going Thursday night and seeing Casper Rawls and his band.

If you want a fun show and to enjoy a piece of historic Austin, this is the place. We randomly popped in for a few drinks and a show last night and had a fantastic time! Definitely put the Continental Club on your list of things to do when visiting Austin.

Awesome little club. Music was amazing and the crowd was a mix of young and old(er). The bar had a constant line, but drinks were quick to come. Will definitely visit again!

Stopped in Austin on the way to Corpus Christy and this club had live music starting at 6:30, it was the best evening! Music was amazing and atmosphere made it a memory maker for sure!

It was like traveling back in time to the 1970s. The music is great, the drinks are delicious, and the staff are friendly and kind. Older couples dancing hand in hand to mid-tempo songs, and young men walking around showering affection on girls, all the scenes of Old America are here. I hope this club continues forever and I will come back again.

This place is absolutely Amazing. Great music, great service, such cool atmosphere and vibes. It's so Austinite! You can seat to listen to the music or dance, whatever you're feeling like doing. What I found really great is that the place has AC and makes such a big difference in this unbearable heat. The entrance is Cash Only and there's an ATM inside if you need it. We had a great time. The only issue I had this time was that the sound was so extremely loud with the band "40 acre mule " that it made it impossible to enjoy it. We had to stand on the side but it was still hurting so we had to leave. Overall this place is a Must visit. I brought some guests visiting from Chile and they absolutely loved it. I can't wait to come back!

Slightly disappointing first visit to a legendary place. We went to see our friend and musician Dale Watson on our first visit to Austin. Lots of us lined up at the door an hour or so before it opened only to have a bus load of folks be let in in front of us that never waited in line. We all raised hell and the younger guy at the door told us, " there's plenty of other live music places in this town". Not very appreciative of the customer at all. The show was great and the other employees were too.

Listened to some blues. The band was very good and very loud. Used earplugs to actually enjoy the event. Bubba on the harmonica was fun to watch as he played. Good job!

Intimate club with great seating and ambiance. Servers were friendly and fast. Low cover fee for national talent.

Awesome location to enjoy music. We enjoyed a no cover "house" blues band. The guys seemed to really enjoy playing together and the organ player was the best part of the band! Once you go, you can see why this place is iconic and well worth your time to visit and enjoy!

Just happened upon this place at the advice of some locals. This is my kind of music venue. Very charming and intimate. I was fortunate enough to see Curtis McMurtry and that made the experience all the better. Highly recommend.

Really nice place for live music. I found the details and local features of these bar very welcoming and local. Such a nice place to enjoy some music while you have a drink. We arrived before the show started, no entrance fee, you can leave tips to the band. Prices for the drinks are great! People are happy and nice, staff was amazing!

Seen so much great live music here, and absolutely love the history! Definitely one of my favorite venues, and I recommend it to my guests often 🍻

We had so much fun here! With an upstairs and downstairs location, we had the opportunity to see two amazing bands perform in one night. There was sufficient seating and room to stand in both places, and in the upstairs location, we got to watch several talented audience members dance too! Highly recommend the experience (but not the cocktails)
