Great food, service, and atmosphere. Love the patio. It’s a perfect place to sit and enjoy the day/night on a nice weather. Both the Fried calamari and tuna tostada are the best we’ve ever had. So is the crispy gulf snapper- crispy skin with flavorful juicy meat. I also really love the oyster from Blue Hill Bay, ME- a little salty and fresh, fully layered flavor!

Fantastic meal with good service at a fun location. Octopus was perfectly charred, and there was plenty of lobster on the roll. The snapper was excellently seasoned, with a crisp skin. The only minor flaw was a disconnect between the skin and flesh that caused it too slide off too easily. Would definitely return.

Perla's is fabulous! We ate here the last night we were in Austin and loved every minute. We made a reservation and were seated right away. They serve you hushpuppies before ordering. Everything including the service was wonderful! Food: The food was very nice! We started with the grilled oysters. My husband and I shared them. They were wonderful. We each ordered fish and chips. Our server said that was a great choice. They were wonderful and the portion size was large. You will not leave hungry! Drinks: The drinks are also very lovely. I ordered the bonfire on the beach and loved it. My husband ordered the Maverick and the Black Pearl. The Black Pearl is to die for! Everything was mixed together perfectly. Service: From the moment we arrived until we left, we had the best service. Everyone that works here was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy working at Perla's. I am glad that we saved this restaurant for our last night so we left with a wonderful dinner experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who visits or lives in Austin! The decor alone is something to come visit to see! Thank you for a wonderful dinner and evening!

I’m an idiot. For years my friends have been telling us that we needed to try Perla’s. So today was the day. Right place, right time. My recommendation is to not hesitate. Our food was amazing. And our server, Ellie, was delightful and so knowledgeable. We enjoyed the best fried calamari in Austin, hands down. We’ll definitely become regulars. The crab cake was perfect, the baked oysters were sinful and the lobster bisque was the best ever, in our lives. And we’re nowhere near an ocean. We asked to meet the manager, and he was lovely as well. Dining at Perla’s today absolutely made our Sunday Funday! Enjoy!

Fresh Oysters and delicious seafood! Awesome place for dinner on South Congress. Super surprised how tasty the Iceberg Crab salad was and the Sea Bass was super unique with potato slices places like fish scales.

We didn't order fried fish, but the fried fish was soaked in sauce that we couldn't tell when it was made. I reported this to the waiter, but he talked to other staff and did not return to our table. Before this happened, they had asked me several times what it tasted like. They may make some mistakes while working, but their careless attitude was the worst. I then called the manager and explained this, but they pretended not to know and when I showed them the pictures, they admitted it. My wife was very disappointed and this restaurant made our worst day. I felt sick after eating because it was mixed with food of unknown origin.

We enjoyed Perla’s. Food was very good. The grilled oysters were excellent. The oyster shooter was also excellent - a small really well made Bloody Mary with a very tasty oyster in it. Tostados were also very good. Unfortunately, the rib-eye steak did not live up to expectations. Much tougher than should be and cooked medium well VS medium rare as requested. Service was good but not totally on par with food and drink pricing.

One of our favorite seafood restaurants in Austin!! All of the food is great but the ceviche is incredible. We always order it. Make sure to book a reservation because it’s usually busy.

I wanted to come here for the outdoor atmosphere. The patio is so charming! I didn't even look at the menu before we booked a rez, but it turned out well because the food was great! Our faves were the octopus, little gem salad and scallops. This would be a great place for a date night or special occasion. They do brunch, too, so we will definitely be back!

The service was fantastic! The food was also great. I'll deduct a star because it was loud inside and while they do validate parking, you have to pay at least $26 then wait for a refund. The restaurant should not promise free parking but then require customers to front money. For the price point they charge, they could do much better.

This place is amazing. We sat outside and loved the vibe. The Gold Rush cocktail was delicious. All of the appetizers were great and the sea bass entree was out of this world. Dylan provided excellent service and the manager, Gabby, ensured we had a wonderful experience. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Perla's is a upscale seafood culinary. I went with my coworkers for lunch and we had a wonderful experience. The service was perfect and the food was over expectations! We tried 2 dozens of mixed oysters for appetizers as well ceviche . I definitely recommend these two dishes they are the best! I got tuna and it came with chimichurri sauce and soy sauce , greens and a grilled flavored tomato. Many of my coworkers got the gumbo and got to tried a little and I do recommend this from menu. Pretty much everything we tried at Perla's was supreme and delicious 😋.

Wow what a great everything! The outdoor seating area is like something out of a fairy tale. Music, lights and the whimsical trees. The service was on point and the food was flavorful and extremely well prepared.

Oysters and drinks a plenty at this amazing spot on South Congress. Plenty of seafood to chose from on the menu and a great selection of drinks. Definitely recommend the oysters (go for the chef selection if unsure) Take a seat outside (weather permitting) to create the perfect ambience. Will most certainly be back at my next visit to Austin!

Hands down an amazing quick lunch at Perla’s. No complaints at all on the service, drinks or food. I suggest if you’re in the area and in the mood of some great FRESH seafood to try them out. You will not be sorry….

Food was good, nice atmosphere. Really you are paying for location. At those prices you can get better seafood in Austin. The cocktails were delicious!

Perla's was fantastic! The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. It has quickly secured a spot among our favorite restaurants in Austin. Everything we ordered came out fresh and was a wonderful blend of flavors. If you have not dined at Perla's yet, do yourself a favor and book a reservation asap.

Lobster bisque was a good choice. Fresh made french fries, also tried the calamari it was a small portion but good flavor and fresh. Nice place, enjoyed the patio seating on a nice night.

We absolutely loved this place. If you like oysters, you will be in heaven. The burgers were also amazing. We had a few drinks also that hit the spot. I definitely want to come back for breakfast and try it also. Definitely recommend.

The food and atmosphere here is great! I would highly recommend the burger with fries. They also have very good cocktails. However, the service we experienced was very poor. We had to wait for over 1 1/2 hours for our table, even though we had a reservation, but had to add on one person last minute. I understand adding people to your reservation isn’t exactly convenient for the restaurant, but they could have worked with us a little more. Our waiter was also very absent most of the time. He hardly checked on us and when he did he was less than helpful. We had to wait over 10 minutes for him to even take out drink order, and then another 30 or so minutes for him to take our food order and for our drinks to come out. He also forgot to take my order and I had to call him back over to take my food order. He didn’t even apologize or anything, he looked annoyed. We also wanted to split our bill, but he said we couldn’t do that with the party our size, but after one of our friends spoke to the manager, they did split the bill. The food and drinks were also very expensive, so be prepared to spend at least $75-$100 for a meal if you get drinks too. Maybe we just had a bad waiter, but if I were to return, I would hope for much better service next time, because the food was very good.

This place was really good quality food! The drinks were okay tho To start we had the frozen watermelon margarita and the vitamin sea (this one tasted like a candy but in a weird way) We had the ahi tuna tostadas which were really good. The tostadas come with a delicious pepper and cilantro garnish and with chipotle mayo as a base. By far our favourite dish. We also ordered Perla's poco plate, this was just enough food for 2 people. We enjoyed everything from this plate except the lobster knuckles which were really hard to open ( even when it came preopened) And the cocktail sauce wasnt good. Some of the oysters had a bit of sand as well. The clams and scallops were seasoned really good, it was one of our favourites. We suggest you season the oysters with lime and cholula instead of the sauces they provide. It would have been nice to have some tostadas to eat with the seafood tho Service was okay, had to wave down waiters several times to ask for water refills and overall didn't feel exceptional. The place was very dimly lit so it was a bit hard to see sometimes and the place smelled weird ( like something smoking? Idk) Good place to eat fresh seafood!

Great time celebrating an anniversary recently. We enjoyed their green chili clam chowder, Maine and Massachusetts oysters, ribeye and lobster roll. Our server was very friendly and the ambience was nice too.

Pricey due to location. Good food & service. Indoor space is loud and would benefit from felt shoes added to chair legs. Grilled potato cakes were good but slightly under-seasoned.

Atmosphere is phenomenal, and the food and service top notch! I had crab Benedict, and a few of my friends had the French toast and a lobster sandwich. I've never seen such thick French toast!! Wish I would've taken a photo of our oyster appetizer... they were amazing! Highly recommended!

This is an amazing restaurant had the lobster roll, grilled oysters and lobster bucatini. The food was beyond my expectations and it was worth every penny. The atmosphere was relaxing and our server Zac was incredible big shout out to him, they were busy and he still managed to go above and beyond.

Sat indoors for brunch, I had the fish and shrimp Ceviche, and my wife had the Lobster Roll. Both nice portions and great taste. Food was served promptly despite being busy on a beautiful end of December on Saturday. Service was prompt at seating but faded as our meal progressed.

Beautiful end of December day in Perla's, high 70's outside on the deck, but sat inside due to immediate seating availability. Serving a brunch menu. I had the Ceviche with fish and shrimp, which was excellent, and my wife had the lobster roll with string fries, which was very good, but the fries were not that crisp. Service was prompt after seating but faded as we progressed. Food was served promptly.

I cannot say enough about this place! It was the perfect end to a day trip in Austin. We found the restaurant off Open Table; it had an insane amount of good reviews and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere is a fun, bright coastal vibe complete with shiplap and wicker pendant lights. The service is impeccable (we like people watching and it seemed like everyone received food and drinks promptly!). The food is superb! They had a great selection of oysters and the lobster pasta was to die for. Our server, Paige, was a DOLL, and when we go back, we will ask to sit in her section. Loved loved loved the experience!!!

Great atmosphere and outdoor seating! The service was fast. The calamari was so good I forgot to take a picture. The food is good but a little overpriced for what it is. Would definitely come back for the overall experience.
