Ordered drinks tonight for a group of friends and got asked “where’s your purse” by the bartender serving. As a gay man, not the vibe or welcoming feeling. Would advise any of my friends (or anyone in the LGBTQ+ community) to avoid this bar. Will be sharing this experience to many.

Don't move to Austin, definitely visit Deep Eddy's though. Natty light on tap, what more could you possibly ask for?.... A juke box with local music... Well they have that also, just get over here already.

Great place to enjoy a frosty mug of a pitcher of your choice. We used to ride bicycles over to this place to chug frosty beers and return home. Bartenders are always helpful here. A true bar in Austin. One of the last remaining.

One of the OGs still alive in Austin! You have to go here before "progress" eats up another Austin jewel! You won't regret it!

Unfortunate service, met a gentleman at the bar who, unbeknownst to me, brought a drink in from outside. Because he was seen talking with our group, prohibited any of our group regardless of affiliation from service. Poor management and problem resolution for such a shady location lacking quality clientele. Would recommend elsewhere

Great old dive bar. Parking is a challenge, but the joint is just right. I'll try food next time. Look, it's not a night club, it's a dive bar and the beer is cold, the lights low, and the crowd is eclectic.

Delightful neighborhood bar. Beer: Several draught beers starting at 3.50 up to 4.00, however, I believe those prices are based on a 10oz glass. They also have a large beer format and pitchers for maybe 14. Service: All bar service, bartenders were friendly. Environment: Small bar - can get packed. If they installed booths on the back and got folding tables to collapse when bar is full, there would be more space to hang. One small pool table. Fight me for it. 😂

This place is bad azz...beer and burgers. Cant thank the race team for the hospitality!! See you next year.

What an amazing experience at one of Austin's oldest bars. Despite the busy environment, the staff was still helpful and welcoming. The drink prices were fair, and the drink was delicious. I had a good time with my friends here. I definitely recommend this place for a good time!

Cheap pitchers, cheap pool, not too crowded on weekdays, good vibes on weekends. If you want a dive bar, this is the one.

One of the best classic American dive style bars. Great atmosphere, music playing on the juke box, pool tables, your standard beers on tap. Little patio in the back. What’s not to like.

Same as it ever was. Super Dive bar! Reasonable prices, great bar staff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Austin Classic.

Very rude and intolerant personnel. Was in the bar yesterday evening (07/04) between 9:30 and 10:30. The bartender told me I have to be in jail just because I am Russian and indirectly implied that Russians should not study at the University of Texas at Austin.

Love the Old Austin vibe. Bartenders are friendly. So glad I finally got to have this experience!

Classic " dive" bar with awesome people and staff!

I’d seen this place for years but never came in. Finally, it was my buddy’s birthday and we were close, so came in for a couple drinks. I dig the small dive-y vibe, but dang, the guy was suuuper rude to me. I was wanting to like the place but that really put me off, so won’t be back. Oh well. Maybe he was just having a bad day? No idea.

Been coming here since I was knee-high to a grasshopper -- barely able to put my own britches on. Still struggling with that.

One of the last true bars in Austin! Cold beer and 50 cent pool, nice!
