This is one of those places where 5 stars are not enough. I have to admit when we agreed to meet my son here I was a bit skeptical about the menu. Turns out the way to go is to order a bunch of plates and share them. For the four of us we ordered hummus, carrots, Brussels sprouts, ribs, and the chicken. Those last three were really great. Especially the Brussels sprouts. Not sure what they all did to them but probably the best I ever had. Save room for the desserts. We ordered four of them and split those too. Once again, really great. Service was good too. Rare to have my expectations exceeded like this place did. Put this place on your bucket list for sure.

Dinner was excellent as always. They finally put my favorite entree, Pei Mussels, back on the menu. You can't go wrong on dessert. Birthday Cake Ice Cream sandwich is my favorite, but I tried the Coffee Mousse Tart and it was delicious too. Neither was too sweet.

Austin has many beautiful places to try- But this is a must try (especially a great date place!). The Mediterranean salad is a good try and their salmon & desserts cake lol are supposed to be famous- but we did not try! Cost is definitely expensive.

Casual restaurant in a former laundromat with upscale food and a competent bar. Dishes come as they are ready. The restaurant recommended thinking "family style" for consumption (a growing trend I'm honestly getting a bit tired of). Regardless this place has excellent food made with care and attention which changes often. I'd say most parties will require a few starters as the entrees are not gigantic. The cocktails are solid. The house menu is tasty but not edgy. I ordered off menu as well and had no complaints. Certainly a place you could come just for a drink and a snack. It's a nice departure from the usual stuff downtown but you can still walk here from downtown if the weather is nice. Highly recommended!

Great neighborhood vibe. Wonderful staff, good drinks. Brunch food was mediocre. Small portions with flavor and quality nothing to write home about. Bagels under gravlax were tough. Poached eggs on the Benny were over cooked. Disappointing. Dinner is better.

Great outdoors and indoors: superb place for dates and good cocktails. While vegan options are a little limited, they certainly accommodated and were very careful and respectful of it. Make sure to arrive a bit early as parking is limited and not a lot of shadow.

I wanted to love this place.... The workers are really sweet and they have great happy hour specials. What bothered me is that they had way too many rules and a complete lack of flexibility. We had to sit outside because apparently the bar was reserved for reservations? No problem. Then we were told we couldn't order any food, not even appetizers. Mind you, it was around 5pm and there weren't many patrons yet. Then when the server hadn't come out to check on us in a while I went to the bar to grab a couple waters and was told I need to talk my server. I wouldn't be at the bar asking for waters if my server was around you guys. So yea, all the workers had to ask permission to do pretty much anything. It was a bit much. I would not go back to this place. If you love bureaucracy this place is for you.

The food was good, not great and way over proved for what you got. The service was good. The bartenders were exceptionally behind the entire time. More efficiently on that aspect would have been great. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't great for the price you pay to eat there.

One of my wife and I's favorite places to eat in Austin. The daily pastry is always delicious! They really specialize in all baked goods. The entrees are definitely on the small side, so be prepared to order more than one thing, it's great for exploring but can definitely get expensive. This is usually a special occasion place. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Every time we go to the Launderette it's a good time!

Great place! Nice and local. Food was super good. The brussel sprouts were some of the best I have had! Drinks were also nice! Check them out for a very nice date night!

We went there on a Friday late night. Food came out real late but even in crisis, situation was handled super well by staff and management. Super friendly hostess originally from California, very well spoken and personable. The food is nothing but excellent. I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Austin!

Launderette is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. I enjoy myself every time I go. Itโ€™s delicious without being pretentious and the service is great. We had the beet hummus and duck liver mousse. Both were very good. The mousse is not grainy at all and the persimmon goes really well with it. We also enjoyed the Brussels and the pork chop. Although the pork was cooked well, the whole dish was a little bit uninteresting. That was my only complaint and a mild one at best. Great dinner. Will be back soon.

Great everything. Had been here a few times for a snack here, a drink there and finally got here for a full dinner experience. Really pleased with everything we ordered and the attentive patient staff. Need to come back to hammer out the rest of the menu ASAP.

Do not dine here if youโ€™re looking to enjoy your experience. We were rushed from start to finish, and required to order every item at once. The reasoning behind this was so they could โ€œpaceโ€ our meal accordingly, which was understandable, HOWEVER, it all came out at once, completely defeating the purpose, and crowding our space. Every staff member was at our table every 2 minutes trying to clear plates. We were interrupted throughout our entire meal, and were constantly pushed to eat and drink faster. Upon paying our check, a hostess came to our table requesting that we leave to make room for other parties, forcing us to continue our conversation in the parking lot after racking up a $200 tab. The restaurant was not busy, with plenty of ready made tables fit for large parties. We dined at 5 pm on a Wednesday, with a reservation of our own. The food & beverages were terribly overpriced for the quality and quantity. I will not be dining here again, and do not recommend it. We were so excited to try this for the first time, and are extremely disappointed with the overall experience. PS we left hungry.

It started as a quiet out of the way lunch. Rapidly, the lunch crowd came unexpectedly to me. The atmosphere became loud with conversation waiting more than 15 minutes for my check and waiting to close my check. Crab Louie was served with a small amount of crab, fortunately real crab. The beets were exceptional ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

One of our favorite meals in Austin. The burrata was my favorite. The beet dish was beautiful and very interesting mix of flavors. I also loved the cocktails.

Weโ€™ve been wanting to try out the Launderette out for a long time and it was so fun! Great little neighborhood atmosphere. We are outside on the patio where everyone was friendly and the aroma from the kitchen was fabulous!! We couldnโ€™t resist dessert! Treat yourself soon!

I wish I was here to provide a glowing review. I wish I could say the food was amazing. Sadly I canโ€™t. Pancakes were burnt. Zucchini bread came out cold with a slice of butter on top almost as big as the slice of bread. Silver lining, the lattes were excellent.

It was a lazy Sunday morning we just finished watching one of my kiddos play soccer in a tournament for Labor Day weekend. We were Downtown South of the river so we decided to stop at the Launderette for a quick brunch. We sat at the bar which I highly recommend if it's just you or the 2 of you. The bar staff and wait staff are so friendly and nice. I do love the service here it's exceptional, everyone's always pleasant and smiling it seems to be a really nice place to work. They offered a couple baked specials we tried the savory pastry item, It was hammy and cheesy, but served cold, I think it would have been better slightly warm but it was pretty good. Next we opted to share the chicken Sandwich and a side of fries with our excellent cocktails. My love had a Bloody Mary which was quite good and I had this tequila drink with grapefruit which was absolutely phenomenal. Sharing is great, we made it through a Sandwich and our fries, everything was good, nothing was just overwhelmingly amazing but it was all very solid. It was a slow lazy weekend my love had been away for a week for work and we were getting back into the swing of things. I love having you around, I love having you by my side, to hold my hand, share a chicken sandwich with, and try every French fry that's ever been made. Life is so much better with you in it, thank you for being a part of mine. I look forward to being a part of Yours now and Always. I love you to the moon and back and 5 more steps. ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค

This was an absolutely wonderful experience, and I will happily recommend this to anyone visiting Austin. Probably the best meals that I had on my trip by far and I will make sure to visit this place again in the future. You can taste that the kitchen really focuses on their flavors and presenting their dishes in a wonderful manner. The entire staff was wonderful and our server was very nice. The bar program is also quite good, I had two separate cocktails, and each of them were fantastic.

Went here for my husband's birthday dinner and the whole experience was amazing. Good food and great service. We ordered the Mediterranean appetizer, cauliflower, chicken, and birthday ice cream cake. The Mediterranean appetizer was out of the world - every element tasted so good! Cauliflower tasted amazing as well. Ice cream cake was delicious too. Highly recommend.

Iโ€™m not easily impressed but this place blew me away. We showed up at opening, hoping they werenโ€™t too booked to fit us in. They happily seated us and then it began. The atmosphere, the vibe, the music, the staff, and then, my godโ€ฆthe food. The server let us know it was happy hour. Excellent. We kept ordering one dish after another. Cocktails were great too. The bartender was very animated and on point with her drinks. Our server was fantastic but also the attentiveness of everyone in house was top notch. Plates were cleared promptly, next menu items delivered to the table by whoever was available to do so, making the entire hour and a half we spent there flow seamlessly. Everyone was happy, friendly, checking in, and made everyone feel welcome as they restaurant filled up with more people and ambient noise. I will definitely go out of my way to eat here again and bring more friends next time. The burrata is a must.

What a wonderful gem tucked away in the Holly neighborhood. This little restaurant is classic Austin. Casual vibes but upscale eatery and bar. Smart to make a reservation if you can. Weekend brunch is amazing and it gets very busy. Great place for a date night with your partner. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The theme of the restaurant/bar is cute as can be. Amazing cocktails. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you havenโ€™t already. Hey, you might spot a celebrity or two in there every once in a while.

First of all, this is one of our favorite restaurants in Austin. Previously we have been there for brunch and dinner, each time we visited they were so busy we usually sit at the bar. They have creative food options, plus fresh ingredients used in every dish weโ€™ve tried. The presentation of each dish is usually amazing and pleasant to look at it. This time we decided to go on Valentineโ€™s Day, which is a fixed menu and we were a little disappointed. The presentation of the salad was very different from what they used to do. The special, lobster and shrimp agnolotti, was really tasty, but I guess it is seafood, so the portion was smaller. We highly suggest you go when they serve a regular menu and make sure to try their brunch too!

Had a fun little girls dinner here while visiting Austin. Loved the options for different shared plates. Did we order too much? Yes. ๐Ÿคฃ my favorites were the buratta and the crab toast. The brick chicken was 10/10 and I feel like I could eat that every day. The cocktails were also super yummy. I wish we had room for the desserts! It was also dog friendly outside. Would definitely recommend as a spot to visit if your in Austin for a few days.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of natural light and plenty of highly sought after patio seating during the brunch time we went. Dishes were gourmet and priced accordingly but appropriately. Noise level indoors is high when fully occupied. Particularly enjoyed the cappuccino which came in a small glass. Latke was not worth ordering

Short but well-curated menu. Everything we ordered for dinner was delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. Excellent cocktails, and the beer and wine list was also short but well-curated. The music was a bit loud and the service was spotty. Also, it was hard to find our server because all the servers were wearing jeans and t-shirts and were hard to distinguish from guests, and our server didn't introduce herself, so we couldn't ask for her by name when we needed something. Overall though, we really enjoyed it.

Had an excellent straight up whiskey sour here. The decor is nice and pleasant. As a designer, I love the style of the menu. The fried shrimp was excellent. Perfect size (jumbo) and very crispy. Striped bass crudo had a perfect combo of ingredients and a great spice level. Oreo cheesecake ice cream was so smooth with just a hint of toffee.

The pastry and small bites are really good. They have a pastry of the day and i definitely recommend trying it out, when we visited there were 2 and we tried both which were delicious. Great Ambience for brunch, they have heaters outdoors so it's comfortable even during this cold weather. The food overall was good and I would have given it a 5 but some of the food was burnt/overcooked. The friend chicken sammie had burnt fried chicken and the biscuits on another dish was also burnt. Service was great!
