This was my brother's favorite restaurant. He passed away several years ago, so we go back periodically, thinking of him. This week, we got the Don Juan taco, and it was good as always. It's also delightfully cheap! It's nice to enjoy a good breakfast and not break the bank. Their salsa is good, too, though it's quite hot! Be prepared because you may not notice the heat at first, but it sneaks up on ya. The place is always VERY busy, which is a testament to their popularity. Be prepared to wait for awhile. The service is also very good. They make sure to keep cups filled and dote on all the customers. It's a good place for a yummy brunch.

I took my family to Austin on a quick BBQ vacation, and normally don't eat breakfast, but heard about this place and thought I would give it a try. I'm sure glad I did! This place was great, and probably the best food value on my trip. Four breakfast tacos filled the whole family (only one of us finished the Don Juan). Great food, clean restaurant, nice people, great prices! Definitely will be back!

Authentic taste & excellent value for money! A perfect spot for breakfast tacos in east Austin. There is a wait during peak times but that’s understandable. Nice outdoor patio and comfy indoors. Today was all about trying out the tacos…will be back for the other delicious entrees on the menu. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant!!

Saw this place on Man vs Food so thought we’d check it out since we were in Austin. 100% fantastic food and service. Family owned and ran restaurant that seemed clean and the staff were very friendly. We liked it so much that we went there two days in a row. Worth checking out if you like delicious, authentic Tex-Mex food.

One of the best places for Mexican breakfast in Austin! The chorizo plate is incredible and they give you so much food it is well worth the price! The food comes out super quick and the staff is really friendly and helpful! The pastries are also really delicious! Cannot go wrong here, a must stop if traveling through Austin!

The food was pretty good! Salsa was a bit spicy, though. I forgot the name of this breakfast item, but it was pretty good. It had beans, two eggs, and papas with corn tortillas. I wish they added a few strips to the plate. This was the first restaurant that I've gone to that didn't serve bacon with this type of basic combination plate. The lemonade was perfectly balanced with sugar.

Incredible service. No shortage of water or coffee refills. Salsa is excellent and spicy! Enjoyed my first carne guisado taco. Loved my potato and beef taco too. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Appreciate that they're open for breakfast.

We came here for lunch after walking around Lady Bird Lake last week. The service was good, we just ordered takeout. The parking lot was a little chaotic, there aren't a lot of spaces and some people were double parked. My husband ordered the flautas and he absolutely loved them. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and didn't think they were anything especially good.

Staff members were pleasant the moment we walked in. It's self seating. Front section was full. So we sat next section over. The restooms were giving off a sewage smell. But we didnt want to eat outside-cold that day. Free chips and salsa-it had a nice kick to it. We ordered the famous Don Juan taco (not a lot of flavor) and two others from the menu. WHY 3 ⭐️ ? Well, my tacos were $4.70 a piece. But she rounded it off to $10 on the ticket. She also charged $8.20 for the small queso, even though it's priced at $7.50 on the menu. Not sure if this is the normal thing here, but this is stealing to me. And Sour cream is $2.30, that's a lot for less than 4oz. But that's the price. FYI. I was not feeling too well to have a Ticket battle, normally i would address such things, especially over charging. But a review is the best I can do. Overall, it wasn't too bad of an experience. My tacos tasted way better than my husband's Don Juan. And the change of pricing on my ticket. That's why I gave it THREE STARS.

Heard about it for years, Man Vs Food, etc. Heard about the Don Juan challenge. Not far from downtown. Parking behind and in a strip center lot on the East side. Seating was inside and on a covered patio. Salsa has a kick. Juan isn't playing around! Don Juan non challenge was very good for $6.75. Home made tortillas corn and flour were great. Overall loved this place!

Food was good but in the pictures that attracted me to this place for me was the plate serving I saw. It was not offered if that’s there hook for this restaurant. We ordered tacos and even though the food was good I stayed a bit hungry and the plate serving I saw other people order would have been better. Offering your signature plates for people who have never been here would have made us want to come back. And the servers don’t come back. Also know that each taco is $4 but it’s just an average size. So get the plate serving!!!!!!!

Yummy! I’ve heard great things about this local spot, and it did not disappoint! The staff is super friendly and quick. The place has a charming feel; however, there are a lot of flies around. The food is delicious, made to order. You can’t beat the value either.

Went to Juan in a million on my visit to Texas. It did not disappoint! Great breakfast tacos and plenty of food. They even accommodated us with a margaritas in the morning. 🤣😄

An excellent local tradition in Austin. Family owned style restaurant. The food is tasty and the prices are very affordable. A solid go to in the area.

Was on my list of places to check out in Austin and it should definitely be on yours as well! Depending on the time you go, it can get a bit busy but we were seated right away on a Friday morning. Heads up, the portion sizes are huge and can feed all most 2 people. Delicious Tex Mex for a very fair price!

Late post Oct 23’ My cousin raved about this spot and honestly, it did not disappoint. Got the Tuesday special -Flautas - Two rolled crispy tortillas filled with beef or chicken and topped with our delicious guacamole and sour cream, served with rice, beans, salad, tortillas and tea $12 bucks out the door, can’t be beat. Tried a bit of the machaca from my cousin and that too was bussin! I usually don’t want to over eat so I plan to always take half to go but not this time everything was sooooo good, I ate everything on the plate even after having the chips and salsa. Our server was quick and efficient, the inside probably hasn’t change except an extension, which I heard happened during covid so they can keep operations goin. Juan in a million did me wrong wahh wahh because now that I am back in Los Angeles, Ca. I keep trying to find a similar spot and has yet to happen.

Average gringo tacos. My husband had the Don Juan taco and the Barbacoa taco. I had the ground beef/potato taco and the potato/egg taco. I was hoping the beef/potato would be similar to Picadillo but it wasn’t. My husband was disappointed that there was yellow cheese on the Don Juan. Great portions and friendly staff. Drawback was the Tex Mex flavors and the staff member who was using a mop & rag to clean the ceiling by mopping it above the OPEN DRINKS/CUPS area. Visiting from Houston but come to Austin several times a year. I think this spot is a hit for the locals but we won’t be back

Come on, Juan in a Million is an Austin, TX institution and must-have. We took the pilgrimage with the @kneadgod family with Chec Travis Dossing and Trap Bundy, and it was so much fun. The food is terrific. Tacos are 10 out of 10. The hospitality is Juan in a million !

Amazing food and service. I would love to Chinese back here again. One of best horichita I had. Nachos and Salsa is spicy and addictive. Every item of food is great. The best value for your buck.

Great Salsa! Long running East side Tex-Mex establishment. I always enjoy eating here if I’m in the area. They have a nice patio area with seating. They serve up some authentic food at affordable prices. It’s a great place for breakfast tacos or a quick lunch. The waitstaff is always friendly and service is usually quick. They can get crowded at peak hours due to their popularity. This recent visit I ordered the Chalupa’s with Guacamole. They did not disappoint.

It’s a very cool place for cheap and filling breakfast. The smallest portion can fill you till dinner! I only spent $7 for that breakfast taco. However, the flavours are not the best. Great ambience tho!

Food was yummy and portions was large for the price. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long to be seated. All of the waitstaff were friendly and helpful and fast.

Same as I remember from 10 years back. There Signature breakfast taco is big like order a few extra tortillas. Bacon flavor in every bite and I know why...... but if you want to see how a breakfast taco should look. Go to Juan in a Million.......Go! Update.... Still amazing great service get the Don Juan. Get the sweet tea, and get ready for the most welcoming hand shake from the man himself. Who is also out working not hiding in an office somewhere. Give your self the chance to enjoy great food and a wonderful atmosphere.

So good my wife and I had to go TWICE on our vacation. The servers are super friendly and attentive. Prices are really good. Parking is behind the building, plenty of it.

Loved the decor and the atmosphere. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. The service was ok. Didn’t like the drinks but definitely will come back and try something new on the menu

Second time at the place. It’s been years. I ordered, Don Juan Taco Grande, make sure you get extra tortillas. My wife ordered Migas Taco with cheese and a Beef Fajita Taco. My friends ordered the enchilada plate and a carne asada taco. All these items were too notch! Still is the best in Austin hands down! Authentic taste & excellent value for your money! A perfect spot for breakfast tacos in east Austin and more. Nice outdoor patio and comfy indoors. I definitely recommend this restaurant! I need to come more often!
