Austin deserves better. Reservation was for 8:45 PM. We checked in and sat at the bar at 8:20 PM. Bar tenders were checked out, don’t know alcohol or drinks when asked for a refreshing vodka cocktail that’s not too sweet. Received a text the table was ready, closed the tab then went to the hostess stand to checkin within 3 minutes. They are confused and ask us to wait because “we didn’t respond”. We sat down to eat. The waiter was initially patient and understanding. The queso was served like water. We were confused but they quickly replaced it and it grew on us. The chorizo with mussels was okay. We thought this was an entree place, we were terribly wrong. There is no excuse for the quality, presentation and service we experienced. The entrees and drinks took a while, some strange latency after the appetizers. The fries were salted pieces of rubber. The steak was chewy boiled fat on a bed of oil and water carelessly thrown on a plate. The worst presentation ever of a $50 steak. The street corn was swampy canned corn and the burger was very unappealing. We explained to the waiter how we are unhappy and offered him to try a french fry. At this point, we just wanted to eat elsewhere. The manager returned and started with “we are done here tonight”. She was the most unprofessional disgusting human. Grossly inappropriately approached our table with kitchen staff telling us to leave immediately or we will be forced, as if she’s some hero. Coming from restaurant background, she had absolutely no empathy or hospitality experience whatsoever. She accused us of cursing and throwing food. Then continued to make a spectacle as she so courageously escorted us to the exit. This establishment is by far, the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. We were so relieved to be out of this place. We luckily walked into a nearby restaurant where they saved our night. And no reservations needed! Look for 4.7+ for better food and service in Austin.

Took my parents to Roaring Fork for their birthdays. It was our first time here, and all decided we will def be back! The ambiance is really dark and nice. I would go there for a date easily. My parents did have a really hard time reading the menu because it was pretty dark though lol. The service was great, and attentive. Everything we ordered was great! Not pictured is an 8oz steak. My dad said it was absolutely great, and cooked to perfection!

Overall a pretty great restaurant the service was good and the food was cooked to perfection. The only issue I had with this place was on a note of cleanliness. A few spots here and there on the silverware, black fleck of something floating in the water that was just poured, and be careful if you decide to bring toddlers here because the storage of the high chairs is in a not-so pleasant place. (Photo) But as originally noted I want to reaffirm that our server was entirely delightful and knowledgeable, and the chefs are in a top tier class of professionals serving world class meals with elite presentations.

This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The green Chile Mac and cheese was sooo delicious. The huckleberry swirl margarita was so good. The best part was the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with Mexican corn on a bed of cheesy grits. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Service was also wonderful.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I loved their brussel sprouts and salmon. The steak needs some work as the seasoning is thick and does not have as much flavor as other establishments. The Caesar salad Dressing also needs work as the taste is not as flavorful. Other than that the environment and lighting is perfect.

The food was fantastic! We enjoyed both of meals. We had the short rib and a steak. Totally worth it. We enjoyed the waiter we had as well. He was very friendly and great. Only con we had is that we were in the middle of the room so there was a lot of commotion going on around us that was distracting.

Fantastic restaurant downtown! We made reservations but were not seated until about 20 minutes later. Though that was a little irritating, the food and drinks made up for it, not to mention the service by Jamieson! He is excellent at his job!

We really enjoyed our dinner at RF. We had Green Chile Pork which was really delicious, you need to like spicy food though. The trout and Brussels sprouts was also delicious. And as desert chocolate pecan pie with ice cream.

The Waldorf chicken salad was tasty - - fresh spinach, dates, grapes, walnuts and rotisserie chicken with a nice dressing. The creme brulee was creamy and delicious. The French Onion soup was very salty and tasted like bouillon--plenty of croutons but no onions to speak of. The burger was a large portion, but the bacon on it was extremely salty. The staff was friendly and service time was reasonable. Given the price of food, I would have expected to really enjoy all of it.

Terrible experience do not recommend. Most of my reviews are generally positive but this was bad. Spent over $100 here by myself at 3pm Steak came out like a weiner but it’s w/e Waited about a hour for my steak. Definitely One of the worst steaks I’ve ever had. I ordered a medium and Steak came out super raw and cold like sushi. Ate some of it cold thinking it was just a warm spot.. so prob gonna be sick after this.. I had to send back the first steak ever in my life. my sliders came 15 mins after the steak and it was terrible super dry. Also asked kindly to charge on a charger they had and guy was unhelpful.

It was amazing and the staff was great! The QUESO CON PUERCO and the corn bread were great appetizers. We enjoyed the steak mushrooms, asparagus, ribye steak, and raspberry cheesecake.

I dined in at this location once and got take-out once while in Austin at a conference. We LOVED the Green Chile Pork Stew (so much that we came back to get it for take-out the next day), Bacon & Onion Brussels Sprouts, Waldorf Salad, and mango sorbet. Super delicious and pretty good prices! The service was pretty different the two times we came in. When we dined in for lunch, the service was bland and robotic, almost arrogant. But when we got take-out the following evening, as we sat at a bench waiting for our food, the people at the hostess stand engaged in conversation with us and were so friendly and nice to talk to. I would definitely come back.

OK, if you are only familiar with this place in North Austin, you have no idea how much better this place is Downtown. The shaved beef tenderloin carpacchio with onions and crispy capers was delicious!!! The aged dried steak options are so good. The 8oz filet, cooked Pittsburgh style, and medium rare with caramelized onions and mushrooms is so good yo!!! I actually woke up this morning remembering how good it was 😁 . I'll keep keep it simple for you, if you gotta dine out downtown and eat very well $$$, this is the place to go!! It was worth every penny.

Fantastic meal! Good Happy Hour before with Steak Tacos, Blood Orange Margarita, and Chips & Guac, and for dinner, recommend the Pork Tenderloin. Cornbread was also tasty

We were just in time to catch some happy hour drinks and then have dinner. 2 of us shared a Caesar Salad, the mussels & chorizo, and the beef ribs. This turned out to be an excellent combination of flavors! Food was so delicious!

Food was disappointing, we ordered 50 day aged steak bone in ribeye and it was no good, no aged taste at all. I could make better at home to be honest. Service was fine but the waiter messed up our order of sides which was super simple as we asked for 4 things. I would not recommend this place. The place is in a nice section of town and a nice building, the atmosphere and placement are good.

I would add this place as a must try in Austin. The food was fantastic overall, and great ambiance. We had the spicy meatballs to start. Awesome! Super tasty and moist. We had the longbone pork chop and short ribs. The pork chop was tasty, but I won’t get it again. The ribs were super tender and tasty. The grits were hands down the best tasting thing we had. It came with the ribs. For sides we got the truffle fries and street corn. The fries were fine, but the corn was the major disappointment. It looked good but lacked serious flavor. I was really disappointed in the corn. Needed more sauce and cheese maybe? For dessert we had the flourless cake. It was solid and I would recommend it. I had the banana old fashioned and I really liked it! I was surprised, and the banana was very subtle. The presentation on every dish was fantastic. I will definitely eat here again!

Our server was excellent, very friendly & efficient. Steak salad was great (we’ve had this many times) but chicken Waldorf salad was just Ok - dressing is delish, but chicken quite bland. I guess because the menu indicates “spit-roasted” chicken, expected it to be more flavorful than a plain breast; also spinach wasn’t chopped as indicated on menu, so somewhat cumbersome to eat. Overall nice lunch though & again great service (name Lara on receipt).

Awesome place! The grilled chicken was incredible. It has a corn stuffing is incredible juicy. The burger was extremely solid and I highly recommend the truffle fries. Also, the chips and queso was, as the cool kids say, FIRE!! Highly recommend, will definitely be back

Great restaurant, I had the big burger, my wife had the streak and it was delicious. The Mexican corn was really good but the mashed and fries were very salty though but our waitress was very nice about it and provided a solution for us. It was a little dark in the restaurant but once again it was delicious. If I'm ever back in Austin I will definitely check it out again.

Atmosphere was lovely and our server Katheryn was a doll. The food was fantastic. The fire roasted chicken w/ dressing was one of the best combinations, and the creme Brulee was some of the best I've had.
